If you or any of these other guys swing through STL, I'd love to meet up!  I can't find the member look up function?  I thought we had one that was alphabetical.  The guy in KC is mickey4479 and he last posted on the pot on 9/28.

Thanks Jim. That's too bad. It has been fun to try and connect with fellow forumites during travels.

Hey - Cowboys are 4-0 - maybe it is an illusion?

Different NASCAR race today for sure/ The Chief's beavers could have built a *** (e.g. water retention structure using primarily small trees, sticks, and mud) and had a lake.

Evenin' All !

Just now beginning to wake-up. Had our normal friday run then it was back to the museum on saturday for the Kid's Club. Sure glad ours is grown, that wears ya out trying to keep up with them.

Thanks for the complements Chief, now if you were to stand in my yard and say that I would end up with a very green and lush lawn. You can't buy any fertilizer on the market as good as that. Big Smile [:D]

After today's San Diego sports performances it is time to change the team names:

#1. Madres, because the Padres are playing like a bunch of old women,

#2. DisChargers, they are absolutely stinko or is it the coaching staff

Now I've forgotten what else I was going to say, gonna have to keep a steno pad by the computer for notes. Confused [%-)]

Hey DWeimer! I was watching Band of Brothers today too, while I was painting the bedroom. Then Julia came in and that was that. Next thing I knew, brightly colored puppets were singing.

Dennis, I have the whole series of Band Of Brothers.  DVD's came in a tin box.  Great series.  Wife back home with pictures and video of Grandson.  Fixed PVC fish structure and put in pond today.  PVC type will not catch hooks.  Put it where small kids can fish from bank over it.  Now watching Gene Autry and Down Mexico Way.  Later

Dennis, We chatted with a couple from Savanah, in the Metropolitan Lounge at Union Station, that were on their way home from the Trans Canada Trip.  They couldn't stop raving about it.

The problem with the autotrain is that it doesn't come far enough North.  If it came to Philly or NY it would get a lot more business.  I understand the problem is clearance for the high cars North of Lorton, VA.

Its off topic but I could not go to the gathering of mustangs and ledgens air show that has been going on this weekBanged Head [banghead] but got to see some of the planes fly over the house in formation kinda neat to see a bunch of p-51s in formation with a jet plane Captain [4:-)] almost signed up for the Air national guard after I was out of high school. The last show I got to see was in 1992 I think when some russian/ukrain migs and the the big cargo plane was here, got auto graphs from all the pilots that were flying German, Brits and ukrain pilots the American pilots would not sign the program book I do not know iof it was because they were being Censored [censored] or if it was a security thing but any way got to sit in a tornado and saw some big cargo planes and saw my first real military hummer.

Rick, I took the Autotrain once going from Florida to it's end...I think it was in Maryland.  They emptied my belongings out of the car on the way up.  Was not very comfortable, but I don't think it was meant to be.

Lisa....I hear you are on the mend, but what happened, I missed it.  Hope you are doing well.  I will pray for you and your husband.

Chief, hope they have not been giving you too much grief here.  Let me know if you need any backup.

Watching "Band of Brothers", have to take advantage while the wife has the kids out.  Can't watch this while the little ones are around.

Hope everyone is blessed this week.

Afternoon all

Just got in from church, had a meeting after Mass.  Checking the pot before changing clothes.  Beautiful outside.  Going to work on the garage footer till time for Youth group this evening.  Bride at a baby shower so I've got the house to myself.

John F love the pics of your trip.  About 10 years ago we took an Amtrack trip out west and loved it.  Neat idea to hook up with folks you meet on the pot.

Standing invetation!!!! If you are in Southern Ohio, around Portsmouth, and want to you are invetated to swing by, we'll run American Flyers, and bride is a great cook and usually cold refreshment in the fridge.  The door is open!

John-The switch arounds are rough.  I know what you are talking about.  Most of the time I can turn my sleep around in a day, but sometimes not.  Waking at 2 or 3 a.m. is no fun when you're trying to get to a normal sleep pattern.Sleepy [|)]  Funny how everybody seems real grouchy when you are getting your sleep turned around.Whistling [:-^]

Check in later

May God bless

John F - nice post of your trip. Sounds like fun.

Jim F - I have to be in Kansas City Kansas the week of Oct 8th for meetings. They last all day each day and into the evenings sometime. I believe you are on the MO side?

BTW - Chief - that beaver comment was indeed dangerous....Evil [}:)]

Have a great day all!

Mornin' boys.  Lovely day to be trackside here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  But that's not going to happen since Mrs. fifedog woke up with sore throat.  Put the kabosh to my plans... Oh well, come on October 19th!

Morning all.  Slept late.  Well, up at 4:30 with the old guy so I fed him his hotdog [Burg too].  Was awaken a few minutes ago.  Old guy had to go out again.  Usually rush to Early Church and Sunday School.  Think I will cook breakfast and rest.  Watch it on TV [ a good one].  Got to get up early tomorrow AM and drive across the county to Cary Skin Surgery.  Got another skin cancer removal on hand [left one this time].  Then  got County Commissioners' meeting followed by Town Board.  Think I am busy.  Really cool here [about time].  Got to get greenhouse ready so I can move plants in if frost is predicted [probably a couple of weeks out].  The way this weather is going, might be Christmas.  Later

A quick good morning from a sunny and cool Crystal Lake before gathering the troops to head off to church. Whilst picking up the paper from the driveway, I noticed someone is still trying to 'egg' our house - a waste of perfectly good ova - they keep missing though. Usually ignoring it makes it go away - oh the drama of high school. Maybe Chief can stop by with his arsenal after protecting that flag-waver.
