Fifey, I'm going to take your advice and leave this one alone.

Nice to see the board getting back to normal... if this can be considered 'normal'...

The Beav is swollen - Not touching that one!

JimmyA is all polished, shiney, and blind!

Fife is considering going under cover to locate Frank 'The Beav' Eagles...

Buckeye is MIA

Dennis is still on train restriction and buying more trains... Shock [:O]

Kurt is still stuck in Michigan

Laz is looking for the Bear... in the buff... Shock [:O]

RT is assembling display shelves so he has more room to fill

Lisa (the only sane member of the board) glad you are doing better... sure you still want to hang out here?

Colin take care of that knee!  We can't have you growing old and not being able to walk... you're not even old enough to drink yet!

DougM beginning to think you are the board shrink Wink [;)]

DonB and DaGrump nice fellas... even though they are from the Left (directionally challenged) coast!

Nick and Bakeer and Daan (and now trumpie) holding down the fort across the big pond (trumpie - watch out for these three... they like to drink and build large buildings that resemble garages that double as train rooms).

Wes every time you post about changing your layout I get a pic of you tangled in wires!  LOL!

Chuck have you found Buckeye? Maybe we need to get him a laptop with Verizon Wireless Data connection?

JimF has your hand woken up yet from Chewey sleeping on it?  And no I haven't 'finished' the shed.  Still have some painting to do... will get done in a couple weeks after the master bathroom is finished.  My sister is coming for a visit in a couple weeks and I need to have more than one bathroom operational.  I think Susan got me started on this project now so I would be 'motivated' to get it done! MORNING,,,,,,,I'm going to say TRAINS now because I'm not sure where I'm going with this. Sun's up and low 70s today, looks good.

Kurt- bow hunting season is here, I don't think that I would wear that mask out this time of year. however there are a few people I might loan one too.

Brutus-We have two cable co.s that offer package deals, but I just use this for entertainment and netzero is half the price. Although I will probably go that way sometime as disconnects are annoying and make me angry. Thats the nice way to say it.

Everyone play nice and I'll drop back later,  Sir James

Good morning all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the low 80s.  Crisis in the house was narrowly averted as we realized Lucas needed to start on second paper for English instead of still working on the first one, for which he already had a grade.  He obviously did not pay attention to the syllabus, and we had not seen it either.  Details are lost on him.  Maybe he will sit out a year before going to college.  I went to the YMCA and did weights and some trackwork.  Also watched Helio Castroneves on "Dancing with the Stars".   I am hoping for a calmer night tonight, but I will probably not get it.  Tmcc man, sorry to hear about the ACL.  I hope the recovery goes well.

It was the (almost) usual this morning with cinnamon rolls and cereal on the dining car this morning, but the cinnamon rolls are slowly running out.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Mornin' boys.  Sunny & 60's here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  CSX and Maryland are talking about new routes around Baltimore...too little too late.  Coulda/shoulda been done back in the early 80's...

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a cool, but nice 62 degrees. Cloudy. Going up to 82 today, with partly sunny skies.

Today, I have a few errands to run. Then, working around the house.  The scenery is beautiful here. Hate to see the leaves fall. I may run trains today. Need a break from the normal day.

Looking forward to the Train Show on Saturday. It will be nice to see all the OTTS folks again.

Dining car is here and serving breakfast. Later.

Y'all have a great Tuesday.

Brutus,

you might want to check the phone lines when the power goes out as well.  Even with my cable modem on a UPS, I lose network connectivity when the power fails in the Neighborhood.  There is some gear somewhere in my neighborhood that drops like everything else.  That's why God created cell phones, I guess.

Morning all,

On nights and taking a breakfast break.

Bought a repro Gabe the Lamplighter on ebay tonight.  Like to have an original but way too expensive for me.  Grandson's name is Gabriel so it will be special on the layout.

Colin-You may get a second opinion before going under the scope.  Take care of your knees.  I've got one rebuilt, and the other is game at times.  Best thing I ever did to help my knees was to keep my weight under control.  I am 6'3" and weigh 200#.  Whenever I get above 210 my knees ache.  Wear good shoes too.  Cheap ill fitting shoes are killers.

Lisa-Glad you are feeling better.

Dennis-Did you have anything to do with the movie Facing the Giants?

Chief-I think you will like the Four-runner.  I have some fiends with them and they love them.  Quick healing of the hand, keep it away from those nasty beavers.

Take care all, need to get back to work

May God bless

Jim

Worked on track tonight.  Tweaking and adjusting.  Finally have one end ajusted in, I think.  All the big engines can negotiate the curves without bumping into each other.  And even more don't interfere with any stock, that could be sitting.  I've tried setting up the worst case scenerios and it all seems to be working.  But, there's got to be something I'm overlooking.

Picked up the support pieces I had made.  They were not suppose to be ready until Thur or Fri., but called and had them ready to day.  Had some track support made out of 36g CRS, that are the same radius as 072 curve track section, only it is 5" wider.  These two pieces will each bridge a section between two peninusula's.  Did a fit check and I think they will work fine.  Tomorrow, night see how far I get with the next section.

Interesting item on the news here, about 2 years ago these Ozone Generators were sold as air purifiers.  All over the place!  Rather expensive as well anywhere between $300-$400 !  We ended up with one, I have never cared for it much because of the Ozone smell that it can create.  This week it was announced that they are being banned in Calif..  Nothing like generating your own personal SMOG.  May want to check this issue out if any one has one.

Glad to hear "The Beav's" hand is doing better.

Oh,   I found a Beaver camoflauge kit, copy below.  Just cut, scan, adjust to size, and your completely indistingushable.  All set for undercover beaver work.

We've got cable tv/phone/internet as a package - works great until the neighbor chops the line.  Broadband is great 'cause the wife and I could be on at the same time and you don't even notice.

We were supposed to get rain so didn't touch up windows tonight, now they said it didn't rain due to too dry?  Hope for rain tomorrow night.

Robot Chicken had a short skit featuring toy trains, but not very flattering to the hobby!  Pretzels or popcorn folks, if you're hungry later.

Brutus- phone and edison ok, although I got a sinking feeling when the lites dimmed, still gun shy from the lighting strike. I use netzero through the phone line but don't like it. too many disconnects. Anyway cables back on now(off about an hour and fifteen) getting close to my bed time, a good evening to all.     Sir James

Evening all!

Lisa - good to hear you are on the mend!

Colin - sorry about your knee. As these guys say - follow the doc orders precisely so you heal quickly and properly. You do not want a knee that is messed up for the rest of your life! I stretched a tendon in my right elbow while water skiing on July 4, 2006. It is just now healing up like the doc said it would. Apparently since they do not have good blood flow, tendons do not heal quickly and are easy to injure again. Hopefully I get to ski next summer.

Very warm here with high humidity so it is very uncomfortable outside, even late evening and early morning. Hopefully there is cold front on the way for later this week.

Have a great evening all!

Regards, Roy

88- guess you finished the shed/mother-in-law quarters?  How about a pic?

Colin, Prayers for a quick recovery!

Lisa - glad you are doing better.  For some reason, I thought Chief was posting about a sister?  Guess I misread that.  Glad your hubby is up and about too!

Gotta get strted on 2 diff projects, but first have to touch-up paint the window frames because I'm so great with caulk.  I think I got everything sealed up, though.

John, hope this week is easier on you and you can get back to your old schedule!

Sir James, Glad to hear you are doing better as well.  Good luck on cable.  How are you on the net?  Phone?
