Afternoon all. been kinda a crazy day. First took a cat in to be spayed. After checking her in they go we will see you tomorrow. I go tomorrow? They say they always keep the females over night. Okay I guess so. Was not ready for that.

Then I listed a few items in another forum and this guy replies there now a dime a dozen ( what the #$%^ ) I sent him a email that I thought it was rude and uncalled for. I also told him that one just sold the other day for $250 on there. So I also sent a message to the Modrators I thought his comment was rude and uncalled for. They removed it. ( by the way I'm asking less than the one that sold. )

Oh well what can you say about some folks.

Hope all having a good day, and everyone is taking good care of there sweety today.

Happy Double Whammy Day

50F here in the shadow of Philly - Last night my Devils took the Flyers to OT and knocked them off 5 to 4 in a shoot out - so we split the season series 2-2.

Looking forward to the nicer weather, rain tomorrow but 60-65 in the rain.

Next week going to get my Penn-Reading Seashore Line cars from Holly Beach in Wildwood.

Not much else right now, just checking in

Prayers for you and your family Ray!

Prayers for those in need

Good morning,

 Melt down starts today.

Roy I looked at that CTI stuff but don't get it. Does it work with conventional trains to?  Huh?  Would be nice to see it working.

Not much going on here. I do plan on going to the Chicago Auto show on Friday with the SIL his dad and our grandson Jordan. Should be a fun guy day. Smile

Morning all!

Cloudy and overcast is the watchword for the next 7 days with possible rain. 50's and 60's - ahhhhhhh!

The wiring project is moving along. It is a huge task. The two panels are 32 X 28 inches and will be fairly packed.

Ray - I too am a bit of a night owl, and I like to watch TCM for the old movies. Also several of the automotive shows and some DIY stuff.

Regards, Roy

Aloha and happy Valentines! Supposed to get warmer today - it would be a hoot to be above freezing. Lots of snow that has to go somewhere when it melts, Kev, though I think it will take more than one day about freezing. I will be glad to see it go. Great find, Fife! That sounds like quite a project, Roy. The CTI website is neat.

Mornin' boys.  Cloudy and 36.  Took Wifey for a tour of Deep Creek Lake yesterday, and did a little Valentines shopping.  She loves Bear Creek Lodge.  Stopped off at Englanders in Oakland, and found a cool old Lionel 1024 switch in perfect condition.  Took it home and immediatley incorporated it on the new layout.  Love the target signal on the manual beauty.

Good Evening,

Had a good day, installed a Pass Station, internal lighting, external lighting, and Miller Eng. light.  Then went to see the 15:19 to Paris movie.  It was OK, but not much more than in the description.  Enjoyed it, the 3 guys were really heroes.  They did a good job at playing themselves.

Roy, Checked out the CTI website, it is very interesting!  If you can a couple of pictures would be great.  Sounds like a lot of fun on that layout, should keep you busy for awhile.

Ray, Thank you for the compliment, your welcome anytime.  If your up to it maybe we could go down and see Doug, I'll come and pick you up and bring you back home.

Having trouble with the software, wanted to comment on a few more posts but software not letting me get back to them, hmmm

Evening all!

Just finished having the folks over for pancakes and sausages for Shrove/Pancake/Fat Tuesday. Not much else on the go.  Can't wait for it to hit 40 on Thursday! Yeah I know, I'm setting the bar low, but 40 will feel like 80 after these last few weeks.

I emailed CN Public Relations yesterday wondering if they are planning to do any heritage paint schemes for their 100th anniversary, like UP and NS did. I sent them my "wish list" of what I'd like to see done. I guess time will tell......

Ray - Get back at those trains! It will help keep your mind off of those tough times.

Roy - Quite the wiring project!

Fife - Can't go wrong with a Camaro. Boogity, boogity!!

Dennis - I feel your pain. The only "Disney Magic" I ever see is how quickly my money disappears..... The Mrs. is already hinting it's time again... Ugh..

Banks - What a fun day!!

Have a good one and prayers.

Good morning all,

Thanks to all for prayers.

Chief, thanks for the offer for help in N.C. but I think we will be OK.
We will be seeing my brother first in Suffolk, Va. 4-8 to 4-10, then we will drive down to the vacinity of Jacksonville, N.C.  By then my sister will probably be living with her daughter's family outside of Jacksonville.  I will let you know if we need any help.

I'm still being a night owl.  Can't seem to break the habit.  It sure makes for short days.  I get hooked on TV at night.

One of these days, I would like to see D.Baker's new layout.  He does such nice work.

Going out to dinner with our church group tonight.  Looks like rain missed us.  It is very sunny out right now.  It looks like we are heading into another drought year.

Crazy weather.  60's yesterday, low 40's today and back to 60 tomorrow.

Had busy day yesterday.  Early out ot go to Will Allen's great O gauge layout.  Outstanding details.  Wiil will go with me to York in spring of 2019.  Has plans for this year.  Told him I would drive.

Off to a County Appeals hearing.  I have to be a "judge".

Ray, if you have travel problems in NC, give me fair notice.  I will block out time and drive you.

Have a good one.

Good morning,

I returned home from Colorado late last night. I showered and went straight to bed. I like Colorado: it is cold and snowy. I will not go to the office today as we have some of our household items coming today. It is not our big shipment. It is a smaller one that contains more cookware, linens, and clothes. The rest of our items will arrive on the 21st.

Good day,

Joe

Hi folks, I went to the TTOS meet Sunday also and had a chat with Don Baker.  BTW, thanks for the compliment on looking good Don.  I probably looked better than I felt.  Saw a few old friends and my buddies Bob and Larry.  Spent the whole day with my oldest son Gary today which was nice and we took care of some business together then had lunch out.  We made hotel reservations for the Virginia leg of our East Coast Trip in April.  Still have to work out the part in North Carolina.  Need more information from my relatives.  My sister is still in extended care after leaving the  hospital and when they release her she will live with her daughter since she can no longer take care of herself at home.  They are putting her house up for sale and selling the furniture.  Kind of sad but it has to be done.  My brother in Virginia is still fighting his battle with stage 4 cancer as well but he is still at home with his family.  A lot of heavy duty stuff going on lately and I will be glad when I can get motivated to get back to my train layout and play with that.  Have a good week all,

Ray

Good Evening,

I'd swear I had a post in yesterday, but it sure isn't there.  Oh well.

Weather sure cooled down today, 60, possibility of rain tomorrow.

My latest issue in the train room, (hopefully someone will learn from my mistakes).  In redoing the track plan, wiring pretty much all the switches for the non-derailing.  Was concerned that the trigger point was to close on some of the switches, so no issue just move the trigger point back some.  (4-6 inches).  Ok works well, untill.....   Start operating more and leave some cars on a couple of tracks relatively close to some switches.  What happens is when a train passes on a companion track, it throws the switch, or tries.  But the car on the siding is fighting it.  Results in burning up switch motor.  Errg!  Ended up frying two.  So moving the trigger points, and painted ties at trigger yellow to prevent parking to close to the trigger.

Did go to the train show this past week-end.  Saw Ray, he is really looking good.  Had a nice chat.  Didn't buy anything but enjoyed the time.

Roy, Sounds like you may be working on stuff in preparation for York.  Sounds good.

The Olympics are quite interesting to watch, enjoying them.  And glad that NASCAR starting this weekend.  (Lloyd is attending Race Week in Daytona).

Isn't it a little early for the spring melt down?  Sure hope its not all at once.  We've had enough issues in the past 12 months.

Take care all, dinner ready.

Aloha. Sunny. Cold (15 right now). I'm officially sick of snow - what has it been, Kev, nine days in a row with measurable white stuff? Tied some sort of record. Anyway, I'm running out of places to put it along the driveway. And I think my broken snowblower is laughing at me - good thing I have two strong young assistants with good shovels to help me. But it could be worse - and we're on the back side of winter anyway! Forgot about the NASCAR race...

Mornin' boys.  Cloudy and 39 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  EPA duties calling today.  Need a haircut as well.

I thought the NASCAR race was a good one.  Didn't think I would like the Camaro in the top circuit, but it's growing on me.

Who won the clash???  Huh?

Keslowski - Johnson and several others (K Bush, etc.) got taken out again (for Johnson, taken out 7 times in a row at the Clash) on the last lap. Forget who hit Johnson in the rear that started the crashes as a bunch of cars have new wraps and some drivers new numbers. Will take some time to get used to the new schemes.

Did 12 miles in 3:18:46.  First 11 miles was under 3 hours.  Just strolled the last one.  Came home, ate, fell asleep in chair.  Weather cold but wife was able to make it to Bloomington to help daughter.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Good evening guys,

I Was going to watch the NASCAR clash but our neighbor Brain broke his snow plow so I spent the whole afternoon showing him how to rebuild it. It was so old it wore the pivot bolt support out and the plow separated from the mount. So I got him a steal plate I had and drilled a new hole into it then he welded it to the frame so we could re-assemble it. Better than new!!! Took the better part of a six pack....LOL  BeerBeerBeerBeerBeer

Who won the clash???  Huh?
