Well you got to know stuff will hit the fan.

Took the Ranger project for a test run and sure as heck still wheel bearing noise, so I pulled the left one off and it is junk to. Ordered another one from RockAuto. $52 bucks where at any auto parts store min is $116.00. So when I pulled it off I found that the tie rod was also junk so I will get one of those tomorrow. They are like $20.00 . Pushes me past my $1,500.00 limit but not by much. Oh well.

Otherwise things are looking good. I got the headlights buckets I won on e-bay and they are very nice and had all of the hardware I needed.

So I think Bob will know what I am going through. Still A truck for under $1,600 is a great deal to me.

Good evening all,

Quiet day at work.  Weather too wet for walk.  Picked up Mini equipment after work.  Weather not looking good for Saturday, but pulled out a rain outfit my dad used at games.  Not too flexible, but should keep  me dry.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Hello all

Back at work for another week. Glad everyone had a good time at York and got home safe.

Getting used to the new laptop. I like it, but it is a little different from the X40:) (X220)

Kev - I didn't miss the Datsun last week at all:) Guy I gave it too thinks he found the issue. Was pushing the electric thru the mechnical pump which didn't do much out of the box. Maybe, but I really did care. Other than that he tried to take it thru emissions and was disappointed it didn't pass. I told him, yeah, I mentioned you prob need to adjust the carb and retard the timing, plus install the smog pump I gave you. He then said when he picked up the box that the pump was in the bottom fell out. I stopped asking questions there.

Found a rim/tire combo I liked for the Corvan and ordered one just to be sure it would fit. Went up to 15" rims w/ a 195/70R tire. Outside diameter is the same as the 205/75, but just a bit narrower. The difference between the Continental Van tire and the passenger car tire was incredible. Much better sidewall and some tread. I even noticed a change in the handling w/ just the one tire. The 14" rims will go on the 4-dr which will replace the 13" rims for which there is not much choice in tires now. 4 more rims on order from the warehouse for when I get back.

Bill and I installed the left cylinder head back on the 4-dr w/ the valve train and some of the sheet metal. Worked on his enlarger so he can read stuff and he showed me the Franklin display engine they are assembling. We also went to the monthly Corvair club meeting.

The student intern and I worked a bit on the '52 Twin Coach FL bus. Mainly just figuring out where we left that project last year. We started the engine last summer, but have yet to put it in gear. No game stoppers yet. Hope to be able to drive it to the barn. Will be the first time it has moved under it's own power since the 70's.

We now have a 1909 Reo car on loan from the Franklin museum. Absolutely beautiful car.

Good Evening,

Been busy (a good thing) since return from York!

Wanted to share with you all, I was at Verizon reviewing our "data plan" found out they offer a 15% discount for Veterans, but it is not widely published.  Maybe some of you can take advantage of it.

Found out Chris got accepted for a Masters Program in Environmental Science, will be a great advantage for his career.

Considering rebuilding my layout with a totally different design.  Currentyly in the consideration process.

Late,  got to work tomorrow on the Dr.s layout.

Stay healthy and be safe.

GLAD to hear Ray's, Buckeye's procedures went well!!  Hope Doug is doing well also.

Hello There,

It was great getting together with all of you last week. Had a wonderful time.

Fife.......I had hoped to hook up with you at the show tomorrow but got an MRI of bad shoulder scheduled at 8:45. Wouldn't have time to get there and back before the Drags. If they rain out I may be able to work it out. Let me know when you're going.

Chief's not a proud Pap or anything.............Good look'n kid

Best move on

Chief - handsome lad.

dbaker - Nice news on son.

It's Kentucky Derby weekend.  I need to find a swell hat...

Morning all. It looks like the rain is starting to slow down here. I guess I can put the Ark plans on hold for now! Big Smile Hopefully, those on the East Coast will be okay. Just getting ready to head to Orlando for a week so the Mrs. can get her Disney fix. We negotiated on our tax returns that she could use her refund to go to Florida and I could use mine to buy trains or sink it into my Camaro. We're just like the couple in the Lionel video!! Prayers to all in need.

Good morning,
Rained overnight but the sun is out now but still very cold and well below normal temps.
Looks like I will be getting the replacement fog light today as well as a tube of body filler for the Ranger project. Won't be able to cut any grass that is for sure.
Mike, I hope you get away from the pains. I found there is always another just around the corner.  Surprise
Chief, better get that boy his first Lionchief set.  Wink
Banks, Hope the MRI comes out as not to bad.  Angel
Hope Buckeye and Ray are doing well as well. Yes

Afternoon all!

Ouch. Hit 86 so far today. No breeze. Was supposed to be 81 high.

Spent last 2 days upgrading our home video CCTV system. Old one would not work with a smartphone. New one does and allows me to use the existing analog cameras and slowly upgrade to digital cameras/better resolution. The system is more for me keeping tabs on the pool health, foundation watering system, packages on the front porch, annnnnnnddddd...to know when our kids are using the house for party central when we are away....bwaaaaa....ha.....ha....haaaaaa!

NASCAR Xfinity race today at Taledega was a good one. Great finish.

SJ - Happy Anniversary on da 'Pot!

Good evening all,

Well, another Mini in the books.  Dressed for the early cool weather and possible, but the day turned druer and warmer than predicted.  Started off pretty well and was maintaining sub 15 minute pace longer than expected, but slowed dramatically the last 2 miles and finished in 3:30.30 for a 16:03 overall pace.  Got the shirt, kissed the bricks, and got the bling.  Again as AJ would say, "All in all, it was a good day."  Watched the Indy 11 get another draw.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mornin' boys.  Cloudy & 48 alond the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Nascar on tv today.  Will keep an eye on O's as well.  That's it.

Pretty good train show at the Allegany Fairgrounds yesterday.  Picked up a nice scratchbuilt engine house from a fellow from PA.  Really enjoyed talking with him.  Picked up some odds and ends, but could have spent hundreds at this show.  Have to temper my spending these days.  Picked up a construction set tractor trailer for grandson, who paid us a surprise visit with his folks this weekend.  All in all, $50 spent.

Evening all!

Very warm again today. 85 but some breeze. About the same for the next several days.

Good NASCAR race today. Could have done without the last caution. I would rather see a race to the end instead of the 3 lap drill.

Fife - sounds like a nice haul for $50!

Good evening,

Weather was cool but very nice and everyone had a good time. Daughter and clan got here about 1:00PM.

Grand-son Jordan loved the elevated track and wanted to spend more time in the basement but I forced him outside into the fresh air. Before they got here I got some more grass cut till I stuck the rider in the mud, so said &%$* it for now.

Looks like the wheel bearing will show up tomorrow so I can finish the Ranger truck project and get it on the road.  Dan the SIL (some day maybe) said he may want the truck if he gets the job with the railroad so I told him we can talk about it then but for now it is mine. So Tuesday I will transfer the title and plate it and it be what it be.

I did bring out the 42 year old Triumph Trident and kick it to life. Took it for a spin around the 1 square mile block out here and brought it back and drained the year old gas out of it. Then put that gas in the gator and will put fresh in the bike this week.

Darn old thing ran like New!!!

Love that bike. Just hate kicking it with this old body of mine. On a good note it only took 6 kicks to bring it to life after a year sitting. Running it throught the gears makes me feel 23 years old again. Laugh

Time for a beer Beer and a tub. Yes

Got to agree with Roy, Nascar was good but I hate those green, white checker finishes.

Best move on.

Evening all, had a relaxing day.  Went to a small train show this morning, while there saw Ray and  enjoyed talking too him and a couple of his friends, and a few other guys.  Didn't buy a thing!

Came home and watched the Nascar Race, enjoyed the race but agree regarding the Green,White,Checker flag.  Oh well!!

Was really surprised we had over an inch of rain, last night and today.  Even with thunder!  Also earthquake!  (Don't know where or how big, though).

Now watch some TV and then bed.

Take Care All!

Good evening all,

Good weather today and yesterday.  Went to see granddaughters perform yesterday for their ballet class.  Had check up today, got oil changed on van and truck, and mowed yard with small (21") mower.   No bogging, just longer to cut.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mornin' boys.  Sunny & 39 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Had a freeze warning overnight, and I hope it didn't whack my petunias.  A pair of Orioles showed up at our back yard yesterday.  This was exciting, as I'd never actually seen a real Oriole in my 50+ years.  Fifemom said to set out a sliced orange.  Saw the male again this morning.  Love it.

Our baseball birds are showing up too.  Chief's Yankees are flying just a skoshe higher as of late.

Will be back to painting garage today.

Aloha. It's been the coldest May in 28 years. And wet. But the grass and trees love it. Congrats on your decade on the 'Pot, SJ. It has been nice to see everyone back safely from York and that various medical procedures went well for everyone else. Fife, I've watched three days of Orioles-Sox baseball and those birds are doing well too.

Me to Fife, been seeing them all my life here. Wife has a jelly feeder that brings them in pretty well.
We got 2” of rain over night and like DougM said, the cold won’t quit.
