Evening all, Not a lot going on here today. Thought I got rid of my light headness but seems to have came back today ( only when bending over or if I'm laying down when I turn over. )Well I see my DR. on the 20th so will talk to her about it then if it gets worst will go into ER.

I got a box of trains in todayBig Smile I won on the bay. Some are going north as I don't do A.F. although they basically are parts or restore items.

Got a box engine frame in also but not sure What engine it is for. Well just figure out it's for a 248 or engine like that. Guess will see if any takers for it on the bay. only missing one ladder of the frame and the front coupler, rear one is there but broke.

Hope all had a good day talk to you all later.

Evenin' boys.  Not much to report on.  Fifepup picked up a part-time gig with West Marine (can you say employee discount...?).  He still works full time with another maritime retailer as well.  He's doing just fine on his own, so I'm pretty proud of that.  Middle Princess almost done her nursing schooling, and Hopkins wants to keep her on staff.

Banks - I'll ask when I see him.

Good evening all,

Got four out of five on my list from yesterday done.  Only missed on the movie and that was due to wife not feeling 100%.  Cousin's daughter won her tennis match and the mowing went about as I expected.   I only need to lower the mower one more notch to get down to normal height.  Doc says I am good to go for Saturday so now it is all on me.   Was dry enough to mow today but more rain expected tonight.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Good evening all,

Quiet day here.  Just took advantage of my new found rest with no care giving.  Worked on pool a little but took a pass on running trains today.  Youngest son's wedding is fast approaching this coming Saturday.  Picked up my new suit today.  Just wish his mother could be there.  He will be moving out so now with the wife in a nursing home and him gone, I will be alone for the first time in 57 years.  Maybe I can do a few things on my bucket list now.  Still have some airline miles if I can find a time to use them.

Good morning, Sunny but a cool 46 may get to 57.

Cup of Joe # 1 down.

Yesterday when Brian and I were cutting back the brush up at the end of the lane by the road so you can see the on-coming traffic I noticed that the ditch to the creek had eroded the dirt away from the first power pole that feeds the eight properties on the lane. It looks like the pole was put in years ago and was not close to the ditch but over the years the water has washed the dirt away. On one side of the pole the dirt is about three to four foot higher that the water side. I don't know how far they put those things in but I bet there is not much left with dirt all the way around the bottom of the pole. So I called it in so the power co. so they can take a look and decide if it is a issue or not.  Will be interesting to see what they say. Better they find out now than when the pole falls over and knocks out everyone's power.

There is a Turkey hen feeding under the bird feeder as I type. We got just enough rain over night to set the fertilizer and grass seed I did yesterday.  I have to go to the post office later but not much else on the plate today. RT is sending me some shells to blast for him.

Not much else.

Aloha. May the Fourth be with you on this Star Wars Day! Got home from work at 9 last night and this morning came too early. I will be stumbling through the day with the help of coffee. You were wise to call it in, Kev. At least that's logged. Glad to hear your minions are doing well, Fife

Good evening from cool (50°F) wet Southern Ohio,

An evening at home and not at a ballfield!  The kids are at a 4H meeting, and I’m in the garage painting another cabinet for the utility room re-do.  It is going to hold four clothes baskets in 4 cubicles with the idea each kids will have  a basket for their clothes to wash when dirty and put away when clean.  The kids are being really good about the locker cabinet for their coats, shoes and backpacks I built a couple weeks ago.

Kev- Spring is in the air and the gobblers are moving.  At the ball game on Monday a big rooster with about a 6” beard flew across the field!

Ray - Going to make for a quiet house.  Be sure and take care of yourself.

Fife - you and Mrs. Fife must of set a good example

Jim - I’d sure be glad to help you with 322 sit.  I love the way you can cycle the SIT’s to sit and smoke!  Is yours the bellows or chamber type?  What is it not doing?

Banks - a 70 ElCamino?!?!?  That is cool!  Rally Wheels?  350?

Buckeye - The Union Terminal is a beautiful example of the best of the Art Deco!  The murals inside blow me away!  The first time I saw it was in the mid-70’s when my bride was in nursing school at Good Sam.

Rich- How did the interview go?

May God have mercy on Barry’s soul!

Good night and may God bless

Jim

Jim,

It is 1947 production with the bellows.  Someone had the whole thing apart and butchered it.  The tender has the bellows type SIT unit, but I got a 312 SIT tender that was converted to the cylinder type.  So, that will be going in the 322 tender.  Bought another 490 Northern Pacific diesel this morning for a good price too.

I've got plans for a Flyer layout in the works.

Good morning,
42 now. Bright sunshine mid 60s this afternoon then 80 tomorrow and nothing below 64 for a high the next week. Three days with rain.

Need to mow but still awful wet for even the small 48" Husky rider let alone the big 72" mower. I wonder how long it will be before the power company does something with that pole now that they agree it is compromised by the water washing out the dirt around it?

Wife and I have experienced and survived a F5 tornado in 1990 and a flood in 1996. At least in both cases there was something left you could go to. BUT Fire, has to be the worst. After one there is nothing but ashes. Prayers for those in the fires way in Alberta. Angel

Aloha from a beautiful sunny day - Today will be a day for the youngest to cut the grass for the first time this year - it is very high. Nothing too exciting last night. Watched the White Sox lose on TV, and that was the highlight. The smoke from those fires is supposed to be here by Saturday...

Buenos Dias !

Formalities are over break out the cerveza ! Beer Oops, guess that I'm not being quite PC. Blindfold

Back from the morning walk with the "foster pooch", she's back to sleep and I'm trying to figure out what to fix for breakfast. In other words which box of cereal will I choose.

Sure be glad when they get these meds squared away. BP drops down, not dangerously low, but low enuff that you just feel like crawling back into bed for a nap. And of course along with that comes the other joys of low bp.

Last nite was club board meeting nite to finish work on new bylaws, everybody survived.

Train time tomorrow, my turn to cook but I'm just to tired so I ordered a couple of pizzas for delivery. Papa John's is ok, not my fav but they do deliver. Wish my fav delivered. Sigh

The BetterHalf will be back from here caretaker duty saturday. Left HugRight Hug The friend we have been helping out with pooch foster care and live-in caretaker by the BetterHalf appears to be making a great recovery from knee replacement surgery.

Kev, We've witnessed the devastatiion that wildfires can deliver and there just isn't anything like it. They've gone around us, thank you MotherNature, so we've been lucky.

Time to dig out a cereal bowl, later.

Good afternoon,

I got one of these today and installed it on the shed where the coach light was should give me plenty of site light through the scope on the rifle.  Stick out tongue The front of the shed is very dark at night because the LED outdoor light is on the west end of the shed or the house side. That light does a nice job of lighting up the front yard but the front of the shed / south side, is a black hole.

It is 2050 lumens or about 130 watts. Should be fine.

Good evening all,

A very good day at work!   Both pain one and pain two were gone so I had peace and quiet to get caught up on case reports.  It was nice.  Weather was cool at noon, but I got a good walk in to prep for the Mini.  Got my younger daughter moved up on the starting grid to where I am and got our equipment (shirt, bib, and hat ) for the race.   We are "good to go according to the sporting regulations".  Still not sure if there are 33 entries for the 500 yet.....   That would be totally embarassing if the 100th running did not have 33 cars in the starting field.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Aloha. Sunny and warm so far before coldness descends again tonight. Spent a delightful early am at Lowes browsing all sorts of unaffordable things and then bought the $2 item I came in for.  Big Smile Counting down the days until the rentable sailboats go in the water here...

Good evening all,

Another great day at work.   Pain two was gone all day and pain one was somewhere else most of the day.   Got a lot done, more than I anticipated.  Weather was good for the noon walk.   Took the new "sticker reds" out for a last shakedown run.  Had good power down the straights.  May need a half turn of wing to keep the back end from stepping out on me, but that can be a race day adjustment LOL!   I feel good about tomorrow.  I think it will go well.  I hope everyone has a good day.

TGIF Guys - a wet one here in the Delaware Valley!!

3 interviews 1 rejected, 1 offer and 2 more on tap.  Maybe by next week.

Put a bid on a 2 bed 1.5 bath townhome with finished basement.  Running out of time and can't find anything closer in my price range.  except for paint and cleaning, this one is move in ready.  I sign the offer sheet tomorrow.  Princess arrives 27th June and has just sent her e-mail to the Princeton, NJ store where there is an opening.

She is off this weekend for her birthday, camping....

Tomorrows car show has been cancelled due the rain, supposed to be in the 60s tomorrow and dry-er....Maybe take the road runner out if it's nice.

Prayers for those in need!

Hello there!

Belated TGIF!!!!!!

'twas a longgggg week. Still a definit maybe on the big project.

Son finised planting corn and adding fertilizer to the hay in between the much needed rain. Only soy bean needs to go in the ground. Over the years fetilizer cost rose with the cost of oil. Guess what didn't happen to fertilizer cost?????? He never did switch the truck bodies. The old truck has 3K+ in replacement parts and lots of labor and is ready for the donor body. The Donor truck is needed until after planting is completed. ((this was s'posed to be a winter project)

Mrs & I planned to go to a Street Market/Oldies Concert last evening. We opted to skip it due to the rain and watch the two oldest grandkids. Found out later it was resheduled for next Friday.

It's raining here still and predicted for tomorrow so not sure what the weekend will bring other than the traditional Mother's Day Dinner from KFC.

Phish.....my ElCamino is a Malibu. 307 with a two speed Torque Glide. I added a Quadra Jet intake and carb from a 327. It came with Rally wheels that I used for winter tires (it is worthless in the snow) and bought a used set of Keysone Mags for summer use.

Rich....good luck with both searches

Mrs is stirring so I'd better get my day started.

Prayers for those in need

Good Morning All.

Walk done, breakfast finished.

Yesterday was a good day at the museum, no pile-ups as Laz says. Although I did loose my L&N Pacific, think the tether is crapping out or at least I hope it's the tether and not a board.

A bit of rain the past few days so you know traffic was absolutey horrible, body shops will be very busy for a few months now.

Time for morning meds, then service and put away yesterday's toys. Maybe a snooze afterwards.

Later all.

Prayers for all in need. Angel

This morning we finished putting the S.S. Buckeye Riveter in the water.  I did a work order at the marina to repair the trim.  Without the trim working correctly, the boat loses ten mph. When it is trimmed correctly the 115 HP Merc moves the boat down the lake at 43mph.

Chief....All my batteries were on the charger this winter and performed flawlessly.

EBAY WIN!!!! Gift Found an R&L track cleaning car for less than $50.00 for auction.  I will tell you how it works at a later date. This was one of those mis-listed items you sometimes find on Ebay especially if the seller does not know about O Gauge trains.  Instead of typeing Amtrak into Ebay, try Amtrack sometime and you will find some real deals.

Fife....I have a contact at John's Hopkins that works next to the Prez.  She and her husband may be at my house in Ohio this September for the roundhouse open house at Sugar Creek.  Let me know if I can help by putting in a good word.Geeked  BTW, if she has a desire to work in Roseyville, I would suggest you leave my name out of it, even though I know the mayor and the police force knows me. Black Eye

Well I knew Cat was yellow and figured Orange was close enough Whistling I've tried the tracking number a couple of times P.O. doesn't reconise it but that could be because the carrier didn't scan it when he/she picked it up.

Evening all. Got a engine from Trainz ( used 1666) that they said was funtional that isn't So I'm sure they wil send a shipping label for me to return it to be repaired. There really good about this.

Went to the flea market today and walked around it about 2 times. Boy do I feel it tonight. LOL

Hope all had a good day talk to you all later.

Good evening all,

We finished.  Not the best time, but we got the bling.  3:49:52 for the time and 3.46 mph for the average speed.   Slept 5 hours after getting home.  Still tired.   I hope everyone has a good day.
