Hello all
Fairly quiet day on the mountain.
Took a look at a video of that vision line GG1. It's a beast. Interesting, but I'd rather not see the price tag:)
Kev - congrats on your anniversary!
If you haven't checked out the SPF yet, be sure to look at the Thomas clockwork video. Pretty funny.

Sun and 60s today. Watched the Lions game for awhile yesterday. By the second half I decided a nap would be more fun.

Aloha. Catching up from a relaxing weekend. Watched the Rugby World Cup semi finals. I agree with SJ - Baseball goes on way-too-long. NFL is half gone and the series is just starting... It sure looks weird watching the baseball team play in winter coats. Glad you got to go to York, Brent. Ray, I have friends who live in Suffolk and love it there. Congrats on your nephew. Roy, here is a dumb question from someone who has never owned a pool - when the water overflows, where does it go? (I know, anywhere it wants to go ) but are there drainage tiles or something to protect the house. Chief, you sure were nice to the new bakery owners - no thanks to the Chamber person. I was sure disappointed in the end of the Talladega race. Junior was classy. Joey, not so much.

Good morning all,
Looking forward to the forum at York picture. No appointments this week. Very unusual for us.
V8, good luck on the car repairs.
Have a good week,

Afternoon fellasI have the York photo downloaded off the camera, but I no longer have my image host as they now want $$$$$$$. I will have to search around for another host. If someone else already has a host and can post for us, send me an email or message through here and I will send it.York was a blast. Good to see the guys again, and hanging out with Fife and wifey is always a good time. I found the cocoa tank car from last year's Christmas Catalog, 2 post-war repro boxes I needed... but now can't find the bin with the post-war items , a James LionChief set for Matthew for Christmas, and a Lionelville Memorial Hospital ambulance.Fife - sounds like you really hit the homerun with this show! Just don't get used to that South Korean air.

Evenin' boys. 60 with a big yellow moon rise in the Mid-Atlantic region. One of Wifey's co-workers' husband asked that I check out his layout. He wanted to get rid of everything, but it was all HO, and I simply haven't any desire in Bachmann. I did take his plywood, which was cut in two, which I can use on the next layer of the North Pole layout this year. He also had a box of ceramic houses that I can utilize at the bank layout. But what I really got interested in was his 1947 IH Farmall CUB tractor! Tried to talk Wifey into it, but she wouldn't bite. Not even when I hummed the theme to Green Acres...
This ain't over.

Those are great tools Fife, you got to sell it to her as a tool not a toy.. And it will do all kinds of stuff. My wife thought I was out of it when I went and got the JD Gator,(2005) and then the JD 3203. (2006) That was 9 and 10 years ago. She spends as much time on the Gator as me and we could not control this place without the 3203. So hang in there!!!!
Land needs tools!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brent, PM sent. First one was wrong. so check out the second one. Sorry,
Evenin Y'all.
Nice day here, mid 80's I think. Clear and lots of sun.
Buckeye, Get well soon. No pun intended but in time all things will pass.
Fife, Farmall Cub, that's what I learned to drive on about 60yrs ago.
Think I finally found someone to come in to do a significant repair to the sprinkler system, pending estimate of course. Planned on doing it myself but the BetterHalf threw a hissy fit. To much pick & shovel work so I accepted her request, at least til we get some estimates in.
Everybody about ready for all the ghosts & goblins to come calling on saturday ?
Friday and saturday will be a killer, all day at the museum on friday then finish up the halloween garage that night. Saturday is kid's club at the museum so will be down there all day, good thing is we haven't had the time change yet so that helps.

Good evening all,
Busy day at work. Some people can not make up their minds..... Good night at home as the bookcases are put together and we are getting help with doors, platforms and anchoring. Watched Jane the Virgin. Supposed to start tourney Tuesday, but it is also supposed to rain to beat the band. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Hello there,
Tired as he** but wide awake.............go figure???????
Mrs and I got home from Lancaster on Saturday with just over an hour to get to granddaughter's birthday party. Yesterday was spent recovering and doing winter prep.
York trip was great!!!!!! Mrs & I had breakfast with John Fullerton, Laz & Mrs Laz at ROC. Ran into 88 at lunch. Then met up with all the above plus Fife, Mrs Fife and Bob Mitchell for a photo op at the CTT booth. Kinda expected PTC but he was a No Show
Brent............Photobucket is still free.
went back to the CTT booth later to pick up the Layouts and Store displays and they were sold out?????????
The show was great as usual. Did notice that Purple and Brown halls were a bit sparse but the rest were packed. They should consider thinning them instead of consolidating purble and brown.
Overall I saw more Gilbert HO than ever. Most prices were really good. Some super high and some at fire sale levels. I bought two Gilbert pieces cheap and a pair of 012 prewar turnouts.
Dozing off here......more later
Prayers for those in need

Brent can fill in the blanks. Scary looking group. Just right for Halloween season!
Cloudy and 60s today.
Waiting for Patricia's rain to arrive tonight.
Dentist this morning. Got my tooth cleaned. Good for 6 months.
Just back from the mountains. Wife and I went down to West Virginia for a couple days. Really nice scenery, we really enjoyed it.
Glad all the Yorkies had a nice trip!

Good afternoon, I had no plans for today.
So I decided on an new eye doctor today. Nice guy and I got right in. No hype just plain talk and common sense. No new frames, just a new set of lenses so I can see again. He claims I am getting old and everything looks normal for my age.

Buckeye,
We rode with Cass Scenic all the way to the top at Bald Knob. Love all that geared steam! Some very cool history on those mountains.
Games postponed to Thursday. Fields were way too soggy. Long day at work, but good night at home as the bookcases are anchored and doors are on 3 bookcases. Doors will be placed on the other 2 Wednesday. May have come up with an idea that will solve a lot of headaches at work. Watched Izombie tonight. Best show on television right now and definitely on my top 10 list of all time shows. I hope everyone has a good day.
Mornin' FellasLots of rain in the DelMarVa today. Makes the leaves come down faster, and with all the professional drivers around here the roads are simply AWESOME!Why is it so hard to comprehend that when it rains you should slow down. Not drive 5 mph on a 65 mph hi-way, but slow down... maybe to 55? When it rains and there are leaves on the road = slippery, nearly as slippery as ice! So slow down and leave more room between you and the car ahead of you... oh and to you drivers that think you are the only one headed to work... that extra distance is not for you to speed along and cut someone off then slam on your brakes! Same when it snows. Love driving the Durango. Such a joy for a large vehicle.Been looking at new monitors for the home office. If I land a new job, I'm probably going wiht 2 BenQ 27" monitors and 1 BenQ 24" monitor. I'll put the 27s on the outside in landscape and the 24 in the middle in portrait. With the mount I'm looking at I'll open up quite a bit of desktop space. Will make grading papers much easier for TheQ and when I'm working from home I'll be able to do so much more. Noticed one of the tower fans appears to be throwing a bearing... so also have to research a replacement. I've had the tower for 3 years, never turn it off, and the liquid cooler for the processor has never kicked on! Tons of space inside and with 4 120mm fans it really moves some air.
Aloha from a rainy Chicago. Lots of traffic caused by the President's visit caused me to miss my usual train after class last night but I had a good book to read! Looks like my big morning meeting is changed to a conference call because everyone's flights are delayed or cancelled. What am I going to do with all these donuts and coffee Brent, I like the BenQ 27s. Charlie, I love geared steam. What a nice trip!
Patricias rain and 50 this morning.
Sump pump is busy and will be all day.
No outdoor plans for this day.
Good Morning,
Patricia's rain sure knocked the heck out of the leaves. Once/if it dries up and I can clean them up I think I will be done for the year.
Won a "new" take off weed wacker head assembly with a new Auto-Cut 25-2 string trimmer for my Stihl FS 85 wacker on the bay for $49.00. I can use it, I broke the gear head a few years ago on my second head for the saw and glued it. Well it broke again clearing a killing field for Dan out back two weeks ago. So now I will have a replacement for it and the trimmer head. My trimmer head is pretty used up. That Stihl has been working hard for 12 years now.
The trip to the eye Dr. cost $445.00 and the Insurance only picked up $205.00 so I was out of $240 but it will be good to see again. Sucks getting old. They just keep bending you over.
Doug, At least the poor guy got to sleep in his own bed last night for a change.
Good - okay...Kev, buddy, I've never been to an eye exam where they bend you over. However, I have had some bend-over exams where I thought the back of my eyes were being scratched...
Where was I? Yes! Bad leaves. Bad leaves. I had the whole yard and driveway clear yesterday. Wish you could've seen it.
Just tinkering with the new-to-me postwar stuff. Fixed the coupler on the 6464900, and put on a new handrail on the 2035. Took the toothbrush to everything else, and "skimmed" all the metal with WD40. Looks great Bob & Will.
This just in.
Giant white blimp has broken free from over APG. Heading for Hudson John's house. F16's have intercepted.
That is all.
yeah but they can't really do anything with it as they can't shoot it down lol they say it's in lancaster county well heck it's just trying to go to the york train show but doesn't realize it's a week late

A certain scene from Austin Powers keeps coming to mind...
The all-clear has been given. I guess I no longer have to shelter in place.
I entertained the kids at dinner tonight, telling them about Orson Wells' War of the Worlds broadcast, and how today's event might have led to mass hysteria decades ago.
