Mornin' boys.  Threat of rainstorm here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Grandson duty again today; perhaps a trip to MB Klein.  Glad I got all my yardwork done yesterday.  I was in bed by 2000 hours.

Banks - Sounds good.  I want to suggest taking 213 through Chesapeake City.  Pretty town with lots of window shopping.  Then Rte 40 through Havre De Grace, again more antiques and 2 nice restaurants.  We will be ready for you.

dbaker - I'd be interested in a list of your PW unwanteds.  Perhaps I can help defray some of the costs to your El Camino yatchet...

Chief - Amazing events in the outer banks.  Hope it's just a once a century phenomena.

Hello there,

Been MIA for a while. Actually Have a couple of small jobs to manage plus my old job to do

Ryan...........glad t see ya. Hope all is well. Stop back more often.

Anybody ever hear from Dwiemer, Phish or any of the others who dropped out?

Grandkids & Granny are keeping Mrs on edge.

Chief.......How'd ya make out with the bypass?? Son was in your area last Friday. He brought home another '01 Dodge truck with only 250K on it. The body is SWEET!!! It's gas and 2wd.  The plan is to use it to replace the pile of rust on the 01 Diesel he's been applying layers of duct tape to for 3 years. I'm not sure he knows what he's getting into........

Fife..............we're leaning to midafternoon on the 19th

Not much of a sports fan, especially soccer but glad the US is doing well.

best get to sleep

Prayers for those in need

Good evening all,

Work started on the house today again.   Lucas has a new job with benefits and a pay raise.   Played again tonight with only 7 people showing up.  Lost 4-0.  US gets rematch with Japan.   I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Chief, I can think of a LOT of people I'd love to give an expense paid trip to  Amity Oak Island, NC. DC would be rather empty. Whistling

As "Shake-N-Bake" has said it is just like living in South Fl the past week or so, hate to see what the electric bill is going to be. Grumpy

Got sausage and sauce simmering for supper, will be starting the pasta shortly.

Later all.

Afternoon,

Where is all this humidity coming from????  It is unbearable here, the humidity is up to 58% !!!!

Definitely a "reportable" weather day.

Staying inside!  Actually, going through train inventory and selecting items to take to train meet for sale. CryingCrying    Going to see what I can get for some PW stuff, and then some junk items.  Possibly gain some space as well.

Mike C.  -- Alex Morgan is from Diamond Bar, and one of our customers.

Sure hope Doug DG is getting better!  Prayers going out.

Well got to get back to work, later!

Oh yeah, not only the excessive humidity but it is HOT also, already 82 and just barely 1:30,  even had Thunder and Lightning yesterday.  Suppose to be more this pm.  WHEW!!

(Don't worry I'm sure we will make it though, better days a comin'.

Oh yeah, an El Camino update....

- Took it for smog test, it failed.

- Then to carburator shop, needed a carburator rebuild, did that.  The fuel gauge had stopped working, so asked them about replacing the tank sensor.  They said "sure", then they couldn't get one for 2-3 months, they were on backorder.

- Left carburator shop and A/C wasn't working.  Talked to my old mechanic he said he would check it out.  In the mean time I checked on line for the fuel sensor, found it!  17 gal tank (std capacity $142).  So ordered it.  Received took to mechanic, he called said that was wrong one!  Need 22 gal ($119), had it rushed out.  (The distributor Summit Racing, said no problem they will pay next day shipping and return label for the first one.)  Mechanic replaced sensor, gauge still didn't work!  He asked who diagnosed it I said sheepishly I did.  The gauge was the problem.  Also he fixed the A/C had a control knob issue.

- Took it home everything good!!   Then .......... the following day wouldn't start, just solenoid clicking, ended up putting a new starter on.    WHAT A PAIN !!!

Got someone you do not like???  Give them a free trip to the NC coast.

NUMBER 7 in the past 10 to 14 days.  Shark attack.

Don't think I would go to the NC coast and go swiming.

Good morning all,

House painting is now complete and they did a great job.  Been cleaning up some on my layout for the last couple of days and cleaning track mainly.  It got pretty dusty out there with the painters banging on the outside of the wood and kicking up dust on the inside.  My recently repaired ATSF Northern and my new Baldwin NS AS616 are running great.  I only get an hour or two in the early morning to play before it gets too hot out there but I'll take it.  Bought a bunch of goodies yesterday at Costco for the 4th.  Got some pulled pork for making Bar-B-Que sandwiches and a lot of hot dogs.  Got a great dip that you put on crackers which I sampled in the store.  It contains two kinds of cheeses, spinach and artichoke.  Very good!

Next project will be getting the palm trees trimmed.  They are about to go to seed now and getting messy.

Swimming pool maintenence is still problematic but I'm still using it and haven't turned green yet.

later,

Ray

Morning all.  Got rain yesterday evening/night.  Garden growing.  Grass too.  Mow and mow.  Sunny and humid.

DougsNOTagrump.  Prayers old buddy.

Sir J, bitter Yankee coffee. Wink  Thanks for the POT.

Have a good day.

Wifey gave me this for Fathers' Day.  Side rods go back and forth.  Smoke goes up and down and wobbles.  Engineer waves one arm and hand.  Really goes to town in the wind.

Later

Good morning all,

To start this thread as well, I will just note that the US women are one game away from winning the all-American sport World Cup title.   I hope everyone has a good day.
