Good evening all,
A good day. Weeded part of the landscaping and sprayed weeds behind the barn. AJ's team was in the top 10 in practice today. Took truck in to have it looked at for some noise. Maybe an A/C issue. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,

V8 Dennis, several people on my block have gone for this option as well. I agree that it looks like heck. If I wanted to live in the desert, I would move to Yuma. Even the city park looks like heck here since they stopped watering more than twice a week. That place was a dust bowl already in the summer. I can't go there now account of my COPD. If my lawn dies, so be it. I don't plan on putting in desert landscape. I would laugh when we finally get some rain and those people have to start weeding their desert yards.
I saw where the light rail line made it all the way to Santa Monica in the L.A.Times today but service won't start for 6 months. They are just testing now. That line will help my son who lives near me but works in West L.A. That drive is a killer.

Good morning all,
Just got the news about Chuck. He is about the 5th person I know of who passed away this month including my sister in Virginia. Enough already! God Bless you Chuck and your family. Will pray for all of you and will "toot" my train whistle for him next time I run. He seemed like a gentle soul although we never met face to face. We will miss him. Buckeye, thanks for posting the information on Chuck.
My colonoscopy went well yesterday and they found nothing new. Just the same old things which are bad enough but overall not a bad report. Doc wants to see me in two months.
We got a nice rain shower this morning. It came down really hard for a few minutes. Saves me from watering for a while. Nothing like real rain vs irrigating.
later,
R I P Chuck
I do agree, his post were always written with kind words. I only wish that someone on the pot had shared his condition with us so we could have sent cards.
Mornin' All.
Ray, hope all goes well this morning.

Sad day for CTT. Chuck was here everyday until he got really ill. Use to talk to him a lot. He was a solid guy but did not like to go to the Dr. He almost died on us several years ago with a lung infection. Waited too late to go to the Dr. He fought his way back. Then leg problems. Use to visit Chuck [well, he'd meet me on the interstate] when I was traveling in the area to Cabela's. If I remeber right, one time Buckey and Chuck visited me while I was traveling.
I will always have fond memories of "Toots". That came for a post when he said his trains tooted. I teased him a lot about that one.
Chuck is looking down from heaven at us and smiling. He will not suffer anymore. Bet he is up there running trains that toot.
God bless.
