not putting them down but I haven't owned a MTH engine yet. As don't have the controlls for them and don't plan on buying them any time soon. I'm even thing of start pulling my post-war out when I move and start running them again. will have original TMCC set up but not going into legacy either for a while anyway.

Yes Fife I think returning to conventional might be the answer.

Not much else going on here haven't seen chief since my last post wonder where he ran off to.

Talk to you all later.

Good morning all,

Bad day yesterday.   Lost last night 3-1.  Sort of got computer fixed, but not 100% sure.   Contractor told us we can't build house addition like we planned.  Something about elevation and ground level I don't understand.   Does anyone in the world know anything?  A lot of wasted time and effort for nothing.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

A hot and sunny good morning.  90's today and rest of week and weekend.

Watering garden and adding a little fertilizer.  Got first squash as garden is late this year.  That vine ripe tomato in a swandwich was GOOD.

Ray, sure remeber them.  Just Trains is a great go to for what you need.  Really friendly for a YANKEE store.

Well, I guess I will go to a free meal at GC and have my private parking space.  I'll have my high speed PD escort so I can get there quickly. [this should make Shake and Bake happy, just jealous]

Have a good one.

Good morning all,

Good news!  MTH is sending me a driving rod screw missing from my repaired engine.  Got E mail today.

Went out with social group from church last night for dinner.  Had seafood combo.  Was not bad and picked up a coconut cream pie to take home for desert.  Yum Yum!

later,

Ray

Good evening all,

Better day today.  Got issues with house resolved.  Not perfect, but could be a whole lot worse.  Work was crazy today.  Mowed yard AND got to scrimmage with "my" soccer girls.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all.  Another HOT and sunny day.  Ran small tiller in the middles of garden between beds.  "Miracle Growed" all plants.  Then ran soaker hoses.  Garden growing.  Squash and zucchini growing [late garden this year].  Cucumbers are making.

Mornin' boys.  Nestea plunge kinda Hot out.  Got up at Oh-dark-thirty to take FIL for shoulder surgery.  Then took grandson for breakfast at the local diner.  He had a side of bacon, while checking out the "spinnie seat" at the counter.  Came home and performed some more engine maintainance, letting grandson oil the running gear on some engines.  Big B&O/C&O passenger train on carpet central.

Good evening all, Chief, your good wishes worked as the US escaped with a 0-0 tie. Midfield was horrible tonight and the people up top were not much better. Too much sloppy play almost cost them the game, and now they play a tough Nigerian squad in the final game of the group stage. A win or tie would advance them to the next round, but a loss could leave them on the outside looking in. This is truly the "Group of Death". Work was busy today. AJ's team was middle of the pack for the first practice at Toronto. Wet weather today and hot. I hope everyone has a good day. Keep on training, Mike C. from Indiana

Chief, seems like I have heard about those in-law dogs before.  Can't help in laws but thankfully we can pick our friends.

Speaking of which, just got a call this morning from our pest er widowed friend who was fishing for an invite to eating out with us tonight.  We have been in overkill going out with this guy.  We have been out to eat three times in the last ten days where he was present.  I gave him a wave off today but I know he will be bugging us again next week.  I see more of him than I do of some family members.  That's not right.  Let alone friends who I would really like to see.  I feel sorry for him but he needs more friends than us.  I think he has run everyone else off.  Sorry for the  rantSoapBox

Evenin' boys.  Wellll, Wifey and i made the treck to Strasburg, with grandson in tow, only to find out that NS 911 was a no-show.  The museum just got word yesterday afternoon that the unit was "working" elsewhere.  A lot of disappointed folks, me included.  Boy still had a good time. NS did have it's executive F's there, albeit with a lot of road grime.

Chief - I would have given a stern "no".

Evenin' All.

Good run at the museum yesterday, only a few minor gremlins made their presence known.

Didn't get much of a "R&R" day today, had some things to do before the BetterHalf's hen party, then off to town to pick up the sleep study gear. How in the heck can they expect you to sleep with all that stuff you have to wear.

Fife, Bummer on the NS911 not being there. Would love to see one of the "big 3" make that one and the veteran's model, preferrably by MTH in the Railking line

Well, back to the kitchen. BetterHalf wanted stuffed peppers for supper, they should be getting close to coming out of the oven.

Later all..

Good evening all,

Trimmed and edged most of the yard today.  Still some work to do tomorrow if weather and my body permit.  Was tired all day.  Went to a graduation party for someone on wife's side of the family.  Went about like I expected.   Did go to church on the grounds of the old one where my wife attended as a child.  Had to rebuild it after a fire.  Looks nice.  New one in my town will be like this one only twice as big.  Got to watch Indy 11 win 3-0 tonight.  Sato was fastest Honda but only 8th quick overall for the Toronto race tomorrow.   Got a "dopey grin" email from my Norwegian soccer friend Friday.  Made my day.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Wanted to post this earlier but "short term memory" short circuited.

Jon A, A really big Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Bow to you and all the other Patriot Gaurd Riders across the country. Earlier this week one of the pilots who died in the helo crash in Nepal came home through Lindbergh Field. There was a tremendous turnout by the Patriot Gaurd to provide an escort to Murrietta, 65 ~ 70mi, where services were to be held in his home town. There were a whole lot of people who stopped along I-15 and on the overpasses standing to honor him and his family as they passed by.

After what so many of the vets returned to in the very late 60's and early 70's this made me very happy to see this take place.

Nite All.

It rained all night. That 3" we had yesterday afternoon some areas close by had 4". This morning there is 5.25" in the last 24 hours on top of 2.6" from Friday. The roads are a mess and the sub-pump was running every couple of minutes or so. At one point around 4:45am it was running every 20 seconds.

Emergency management called last night to tell us what we already knew. Hope it lets up.

What a mess the lane is.  The whole corn field on the north entrance to the place flooded and ran over the top of the road and down the north end of the driveway. 6" to 8" deep ruts a foot and a half wide. No fixing it without gravel. The rest of it will grade back out.

And now NASCAR is rained out and they are calling for rain everyday for the next week.Tongue Tied

Have a good day!

Doug, thanks for your kind words re: PGR, much appreciated.  I've been on over 100 missions with the PGR and I always feel like I receive so much more than I give.  The toughest missions for me are the deployment ceremonies and of course, the KIA escorts from the airport to often times the smaller towns in Iowa and Nebraska, seeing folks holding small flags four and five deep always gets me.  We have so much to be thankful for in this country, especially to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us.

Aloha from a rainy and humid Chicago. I enjoyed being father of the bride on Saturday and even pulled off leading the wedding service without incident while the rain held off. The reception went well too. Kind of glad to be back at work paying it all off after 48 hours of relatives and other activity.
