Now to do some errands and visit the store [HH].

Buckeye, hope all passes well.

See the gang is doing well.

If Shake and Bake gets his left hand out of cast, we will see more posting as he is left paw.  OH NO!!!  Guess he will make it back into the train room too.

Good morning all,

Brush fire over 80% contained at last report.  No smoke in sky now.

Neighbor to my rear is having his pool worked on today.  Tearing out all old plaster/gunite.  Lots of noise from jack hammers and dust but the dust is blowing in the neighbor's yard to his left.  So far I'm in the clear.

Anybody!  What day is it?  OK Don, waiting to hear about the cast coming off later today.  Looking forward to seeing more post from you.

Buckeye, hope your procedure went well.

Later,

Ray

Yahoo !!!!!!  Thumbs Up

Got the cast off!!  Took all morning but that's ok, at least it is free.  Now I can work on miscellaneous projects (small ones, mostly in the train room).

Had X-Rays done of both the hand and leg.  Both doing well.  The Dr said the leg typically takes between 14-16 weeks for healing.  And I am only at week 7! Tongue Tied  Next appt not until Nov., then MAYBE will be able to start putting SOME weight on the leg at that time.  Therapy has been prescribed for the wrist and thumb.  Probably will start next week, 3 times a week for 6 weeks!  Seems like a lot of therapy to me!

Hope this isn't too much detail, below is the xray of my leg. Bottom of pic is ankle joint, hdwe goes up about 10-12" towards the knee.

Got my arm back at a good time, I think the company computer is about to give up.  The drive sounds terrible!  So need to get everything transferred over to another computer verrry soon.  Will start that either tomorrow or Sat., at the latest.  (Other computer is upstairs, so will need some help getting it downstairs.)

Then train projects; service all the old motorized units, then the old engines sitting in boxes.  Assemble the A&W Root Beer, and White Castle stands.  PLAY with the trains!

So that's it from here!

Be careful of that fire RAY !!

Good news!  My sister in Virginia has finally come to her own home after three months in hospital or nursing facility.  BIL says she has been started on solid food again.  He also said that screenings reveal that healing has occured internally thereby negating the need for additional surgery.  She is still too weak to take phone calls yet but BIL says she will call me ASAP and give me the whole story.  Thank all of you for the many prayers and good thoughts.

Don, great that you have the arm cast off.  You are almost half way there on the leg cast.

We had a few sprinkles over night.  Nothing big but just enough to mess up the car.

Cool today but heating up by the weekend.  Also have TCA meet on Saturday which will include an auction if anyone brings anything to sell.  TCA is very small here on the West Coast compared to the National organization  We all went out to N and Out Burger last night and I had a double double.  Have to walk that off today.

Home to leave again.  Started meeting at 7 AM and then back to Town Hall.  Home to gobble down a few protein things.  Off to get donations for family night movie end of OCT.  To Wake Forest to Lowe's and by Oldest's work to drop off something.  Home to do 2 1/2 miles.  Dressed again to go to HS football game.  Who know when I will get home.  Confused

Off tomorrow morning to the farms down east.  Maybe rest Sat.  May go to the lake house and stay for days. Big Smile  If not Sat., Sunday.

Laz......You would like Ohio where instead of running 10 miles in the mountains you could hit 50 in NW Ohio and be only 3 hours from the Bears and 3 hours from the Indians. Automobile

Good evening all,

Got done with all I could work on today so I am taking tomorrow off.  Watched the boys play a stellar game in a 2-0 loss.   The boys are overachieving with little talent while the girls are underwhelming with a plethora of talent as they eked out a tie against a very beatable team on the road.   Sometimes you have to shake your head.

Good evening all,

Hmmm, this is not good when there are only 21 pages on the pot at the end of the month.  All sorts of news.  Indy car will race on road course at IMS in early May.  Will be a great race to take grandkids to introduce them to the sport.   Not as big a crowd and not as long a race.  Wife will even go to this one.   Soccer kids got the worst draws possible for their sectionals.  Both could be one and done again this year.  Sold 3 old wood ladders to a quilt shop today for them to use as quilt racks.  Made some money and got rid of something I no longer needed (or trusted to use).  Wife and I spent 2 hours at tile and flooring place selecting stuff for the bathroom.   I think we are good to go as soon as we get quote from plumber.

Good Evening All!

Had a really good day!  Actually went upstairs!  Had to "butt bump" going up and coming back down.  But wasn't bad at all.  First time been up there in over 6 weeks.  Spent a lot of time working on the computer up there, developing a backup capability for the one downstairs.  Did Well.

Did realize something not so great.  When the Dr. had my cast taken off, he told me two things; First my leg was doing great and I can expect FULL recovery with it!  That was absolutely terrific, I had him explain it to me twice!  Especially considering all the pieces and hardware.  (Posted a picture a couple pages back.)  Then the BAD news..... That the way my thumb healed, that I would probably NOT gain full range of motion.  Specifically when grasping, like a can, or bottle.  All depends on the relative diameter.  So possibly will only be a single handed drinker in the future.  Have to ensure it is part of my therapy program.

Going to go to the Swap Meet tomorrow, should see a lot of old friends and customers.  Maybe even do some shopping myself.

CakeCake Happy Birthday, Pat !!!!

Watched a marathon of Airplane Repossessions  yesterday, it was quite interesting!

Finally, Was checking  out the cars that V8Vega picked up,  going to have to order some at that pricing.

Hope every one has a great week-end.

Wonderful day at the farm.  Deer stands are OK and feeders great.  Put the cages under feeders and now squirrels can't get to corn on top of spinner and under funnel.  That stops them from stealing corn except what is on the ground.  Got to move one stand when thinner leaves Monday.  Adding a box stand in new thinned area too.  Nice deer on cameras.  No ticks [this is twice now].  Forgot to spray today.  Must have drown in big rains down there.  Now fire ants popping up.

NEWS FLASH.  CA and especially LA County hit by earth quake.  Epee center in Cerritos.
