Evening all. not a lot going on here tonight. Just sitting around was a slow but busy day off and on today. Helped wife paint the bathroom. Looks good actually slowly but surely the whole house needs it. been here 5 years and you know they use cheap paint when trying to flip a house just so it looks good to sell.

Got my NYC Hudson in today and I'm very pleased with it. turned smoke off as were not big on smoke looks nice but the smell gets to us. Especially me with using a inhaler for a bit.

Took wife to store to get a few things turn out to be Wal-Mart then Lowe's and finally Adi ( a so called discount food store. )

Waiting for the tardis crew.

Won an auction then it turned out not to have everything so I told the seller just refund my money please. Stated new in box only out for pics but then I questioned after winning if it had the cab 1 that came with those sets and no its missing told him please cancel auction and refund my money please which he did.

Oh well not a lot else going on for now.

My left eye is really bugging me tonight. It's displaying all the symptoms of conjunctivitis. Pink eye for those lacking in understanding of medical terminology. I've been more or less expecting it. If it was going to appear it was a 90% chance to be in early spring with a high amount of pine pollen and this last couple weeks it' been heavy. Four days out of seven there was enough on the windshield of my van that I couldn't see through it. Using eye drops it should be cleared up in a week or two. Problem is my left eye is my good one. I have a bad astigmatism that makes me fairly blind on the right side without my glasses and the glasses warp things that I'm looking at close-up. That's going to put a crimp in anything that requires a straight line.

I put the F unit trio of Frankenlocos in the display rack today. That leaves the layout to a consist of four FP7's and a consist of two GP7's, a GP35 and a slug. The FP7's got a good run today. Nothing else was done on the layout.

Time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.

Good evening all,

IIABSDISEI with temps near 50.  Was on the road for a good part of the day, but did get to see daughter who is on the mend.  She is doing better.  Watched the high school boys basketball team win the school's first state title in any sport by overcoming a 12 point deficit to tie it in regulation and win in OT 73-70.  Although not my sport, there were 3 soccer boys on the team and one made some crucial plays late in the game.  That is not all the good news.   Takuma Sato is starting 2nd for AJ in tomorrow's race and the Swiss Miss did better than a certain Princess by getting the best start for a lady driver on a road course taking P3 on the grid.  Could be a very good day tomorrow as well.  Chuck has got the snow cannon aimed straight at Indiana for tomorrow.  May be taking Monday off.   TBIL and I can drive.  Barrel rolls will be in order.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Konnichiwa,

We just came in from church not too long ago and enjoyed out lunch which was McDonald’s to go.  It is a bit chillier outside today so I may not get to finish the playhouse.  I see there were a couple big upsets so far in the tournament; I am missing most of the games due to the time difference.  I believe I shall follow Chuck’s and SJ’s lead and enjoy a nap this afternoon.

KevinK22 – I hope your son is feeling well.  Welcome to the Pot.  It’s nice to have another kids’ baseball enthusiast joining us.  I just hope you’re a Yankees fan.

Banks – That’s tough news to hear about your pastor.  Even if it turns out to be false, it can still wreak havoc in a church.

Sayonara,

Joe

Good Morning All,

Another chilly start to the day here outside Philadelphia. Yesterdays T-Ball practice for my oldest son was even colder than the first. And the sun was even out. Oh well he did great once again. Think this baseball thing might be his game. Easter egg hunt at the house was a success again, and thankfully it warmed up a bit to 45 degrees. I'll take it. Not much for today. Had to go into work for a bit. Came home only to find a note from my wife letting me know she took the kids to church, than to Target, and finally to Giant for some grocery shopping. At the end of the not she write.. Enjoy a peaceful Breakfast... gotta love that every now and again. Birthday party later today for one of my son's friends. Other than that pretty quite. When kids get home we'll run some trains.

Demay- thanks for the well wishes for my youngest. He seems to be doing better today. As for the Yankees fan, sorry to disappoint; but I am a Phillies fan.

Thanks to everyone for the nice welcome. Look forward to be chatting with you. And I have to say the coffee here has been great.

Have a good Sunday everyone!!

-Kevin

Mornin' boys.  Mornin' English.  Overcast and 30 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  S'posed to get storm later this PM.  Really wanted to get down to the boatyard, but can't put up with the chilly northerly breeze.  Guess I'll be like Blueberry today...without the Cheerios...and without the Indians...

Youngest Princess is still doing remarkably well, although pain gets kinda bad towards bedtime.  Doctor visit tomorrow.  Thanks again for the continued well-wishes.

Comes a day when every man is so proud to be a father...this ain't one of those: Fifepup getting "inked" today.

Morning all hows it going. Need to get down in the train room and get some pics of new items. ( well to me ) and post them on Sunday Photo Fun. need to straighten the table up some and start working on it some also again. Been side tracked for a while.

No real plans for today other than maybe doing above mentioned. Time to go make a late breakfast or maybe call it brunch lol. Talk to you all later

Hi GUYZ,

Went to Gun Show yesterday in Harrisburg at the Farm Show Building it was packed.  Got some lite gun oil that I'll use for lubricating the trains.  Oil is like sewing machine oil or 3 in 1.  Can't beat the price $5.00 so now I'm good for ever.  Great show otherwise with a big display of Tommy Guns used in WWII.  Also had the reinacters there from WWII and I learned how they used the gernade launchers from the Gerand rifles.  Really a neat experience talking with these GUYZ that keep history alive. Went out at local bar for WINGS and Yuengs and other food.  Went to friends house afterwards and he ran trains for us for 2hrs, BTW, NO PILE UPs there either.

LEHIGH VALLEY 2089,  History Channel did a great episode on John D. Rockefeller.  Check it out on History.com.  Lots of good stuff but not aHappy guy IMO.

Good Morning every one, feeling much better today. Never made it to dinner last night.   after three days of not eating and what I did eat coming back up, I'm ready to hit the buffet

LAZ- Looks like its coming RIGHT at US.  This storm is news to me, but I haven't been online like usual, so maybe thats why.   6-9 " forcast for here.   A month ago I would have been excited, I want Spring at this point.

Anyway........  Hope all is well with everyone.   Life changing decisions await, and I'm not really up for the task to decide. (not life or death, but life changing)

Had a nice night's sleep and made up for the heavy day with the 30 month old. She is really getting into the trains and having her own loop and transformer. She knows where the master table switch is and how to run Thomas. She has the cars full of her toys and won't let Grandma touch anything but the whistle button.  Wink   She also carries the 2012 Ready -to -Run catalog everywhere she goes. She has to have it when she goes to the bathroom. Laugh
No plans today and Virgle don't look like it will make much of a dent on us and less on DougM. I think next week I will pull the snow plow off of the JD.

Good morning. It's 52° with 63% humidity. The high will be 62°. A wind advisory is in effect.

Please pardon any typos that may appear. My vision is very fuzzy this morning. My left eye is very sensitive to light. Just looking at the video screen hurts. My right eye is acting up a bit as well so my glasses don't help much. Spell checker is being kept very busy.

No layout work planned for today. Winds outside are 25-30mph with gusts around 35-40mph. Good day for sleeping I think.

Good morning all!  It is suppose to be Spring, but looking out the window it looks like the dead of winter.  Was suppose to go to a civil war reenactment this weekend, however, the forecast led me to think it best to stay home.  I like being outdoors, but spending a weekend wet and cold is not all it's cracked up to be.  Right now I guess we have 4 to 5 inches on the ground.

Took my loving and always supportive wife out to dinner last night before the snows came.  We had a good time.

Nice work on that ALCO PRAIRIETYPE!  Your work on it is coming along very nicely.

SFP needs more photos so I guess I will see if I can add one.  I found my little 1615 the other day so thought I would take a picture of it on the railroad.  I'll see what I can do to add a photo.

Been working on adding some rock work to the layout peninsula.  Still have not colored the rock so may work on that today.

Chief, enjoy the trip to Florida!

Bo  Smile

Certainly glad the week is over. It got pretty cool here today. It is only 50 Mischief

Kiss MY GRITS!!!!  I suppose you are mowing the grass WEEDS.

Well da cat is outa da bag. Da big bad Ohio Buckeyes aint so tough. Woe unto Buckeye for all those tough Ohioans stories about camping in the snow, wallking uphill to and from school in the snow, etc., etc., etc. Well it was all talk and no substance.

The State of Ohio has indicted poor ol' Punxsutawney Phil.

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/rodent-enemy-1-ohio-prosecuting-attorney-indicts-punxsutawney-221340631.html

Just because Spring is a little late this year and a few more flurries are falling in March. Really?

No wonder Buckeye has been laying so low the last few weeks! Blindfold

Well a cold front blasted through here last night so that means Buckeye has brought more woe onto himself - front is probably retaliation for indicting poor ol' Phil.

Evening from lake house. Had sleet and then snow mix. Got Frankie's boat serviced and trailer "de-rusted". Then we sprayed Rustoem galvinize on the trailer. Finished at 11 today during the cold mix. Was cold under the shelter but dry. Turned to light rain Now slugh on deck. Suppose to be ending. Windy and cold tomorrow.

Can't see latest post until I post this as on smart phone. Hope all are OK. Prayers for those who need them. Those with bad weather, best to you.

Talked to the old train engineer, Shake and Bake. He was watching water boil.

Hi Guyz, just checking in on a Sunday afternoon.  Went to a TCA meet yesterday and won a door prize.  It was a convention car from 1990.  Kind of a plain Jane box car but it had great trucks and couplers (die cast) which I quickly switched to a flat car with load  that had with cheap trucks.  Now it's a much better car.  Anybody need a Toledo and Detroit short line box car?  Have to double check that name.

Church this morning for Palm Sunday.  Beautiful day here with warm weather.

Missed out on the train sale yesterday at the Train Shack in Burbank but a friend of mine went.  Still waiting for his report.

Had long talk with brother in Virginia last week.  Need to check on the rest of my siblings too.

Lady from church with the stroke is still in rehab.  Have'nt heard much about her lately.  Other friend's wife still in nursing home and probably will be from now on from what I hear.  Is under hospice care now.

Dentist appointment tomorrow for cleaning.  Lower partial needs adjusting causing a sore spot.  It's always something.  Still trying to get Sis in Floriday connected with an affordable dentist too.  She needs dentures.  Read some place that Florida is the worst state in the country for dental care for low income seniors.  Told my niece that I would help with cost when they find out what to do.

Have appointment with financial advisor next week.  Hope he can do us some good.  Only problem is that the guy moved his office from near us to quite a distance away requiring freeway driving which I hate now.  Appointment is 10:00AM.  Hope the rush hour traffic is tapered off by then.

Have to figure out what to have for dinner today.  Might just get burgers or something.  Went to Mexican restaurant last night.  Was OK but chile rellenos were not the best I ever had.  Don't think they peeled all the black stuff off of peppers after fire roasting.  Might try a Carne Asada (steak) burrito next time.

Watched "The Natural" today for the umpteenth time.  Good flick!

Have a good week,

Ray

Hey guys,

Happy Palm Sunday.

After work tried to fix the Pulsar to no avail....was invited to the Season Home FInale of the Trenton Titans, they won the game 7-2.  Had a good time there.  Had a Trenton Burger which is 1/2 lb of Black Angus beef, pepper jack cheese lettuce and Pork Roll.  It was awesome.

Went to church today, sat with a classmate of mine.  She used to be friends with my soon to be ex.....it was nice not to sit alone.

Worked on a buddies Tahoe today and doing laundry now.

Welcome KevinK - sorry you're a Phillies Phan...I work in Pennsauken and have to put up with those Philadelphia "fans"....lol..  Hopefully, you're not a Flyers fan as well....LaughBang Head.  I'm just a very Humble Yankees, NY Giants and New Jersey Devils fan.

Still hungry, might run downstairs and see if I can forage for some more grub.

Eeryly quiet today, maybe I should hit the sheets early tonight, just in case.

Fife - I feel your pain....I've circumvented the inking of my Princess so far...and birthday 21 is approaching....Bang Head

Light snow falling.

I went and got a car seat that will work for the ½ cab Silverado for the granddaughter. Not bad $39,95 + tax. At least it is tight on the seat and will work for her and the soon to be grandson.

I also went and got supplies to wire up the addition before I take it all off of the table. It will be nice to kill the outer loops and park trains when others are running. I also will wire in the switches that will let me do that tomorrow. Wink Work said they will help me get more drives this week because the wife is home. Mischief

You all have a nice night.

It's gotten cooler here. At this time it's 51° but a 25mph north-west wind coming off the lake is making it feel colder, enough so that I have the heater on low right now to keep it at 70° in my little trailer. The weather guesser is talking about getting down to freezing tonight. It's looking like this cool streak will continue for most of the week. No layout work today but I did run the FP7 consist for a little while. I plan on repainting three of them. The Rock Island unit will remain as it is but the gray undecorated unit and the BN and ex-PRR units have an as yet unconfirmed date with the paint shop.

My right leg started hurting last friday for no apparent reason and at times really hurts bad enough that I think I'm going to the doctor tomorrow. I have a Medicare Advantage plan and I know I won't be able to get a appointment for a couple of weeks but I can go into what they call urgent care at 6:00 PM.

Dennis, Prayers that it is nothing to worry about. Angel
