Evening folks,

Well Safari on the iPAD could not keep the CTT page open due to "too many redirects" but no problem opening the web page on IE. What's up with that?

Nice cool day here today - sunny. 60's. May have some rain the next couple of days.

Long day so calling it a night.

Good to hear from John (JEFelectric). See you in York!

LAZ - breakfast at RTC Diner on Friday morning?

Have a great evening all!

Regards, Roy

Ohayƍ,

It’s incredibly sunny this morning, but still a little chilly and windy.  The wife took the youngest child to meet some friends for breakfast so the toddlers can wreak havoc together.  They go to a place that has a nice play area for kids his age so they have a great time.  I will be supervising the older two as they complete their schoolwork, as well as taking care of my own.  The only item on the schedule today is a baseball coaches training session this evening.  Hopefully I will make the Tardis around lunchtime.

Laz – I throw him knuckleballs as I can’t seem to get the curveball down.

Fife – Don’t get prettied up for me;Surprise I want an authentic experience.  I hope the princess’s PT goes well and the itching stops.

Kev – I hope your daughter has a great birthday.  I’m glad your eBay auctions are doing well.

Doug – I must be doing something right because he still enjoys it and regularly asks me to practice.  It is possible to have fun while working on the fundamentals.

Banks – It’s good to hear your mom is feeling better.

Pat – I agree.  One of the government’s slyest maneuvers was creating the withholding of income taxes.  Before that, people had to send in a tax payment.

Sayonara,

Joe

Temp is 24

Granny says hi and thanks for the birthday wishes. The Red Wings are behind 4/1  so she's going to bed. She will listen to the radio broadcast. Most of you should remember those things, they still put them in cars. i had my banilla but restocked this morning so we have plenty for the Tardis..S.J.

Gonna be a low of 42 tonight. No mention of rain. Went to my fathers place tonight for dinner. Chili dogs with pepper-jack and cheddar cheese and onion. I had four, he got through three and a half. Probably going to need to double the insulin tonight.

I salvaged a pair of spark arrestors from a Proto 2000 SW9 and put them on my Athearn KCS 4331 SW1500. I also got a little more cleaning up done on the layout. I can actually see the front of the firehouse now!

Sunny and in the 30's today.  Supposed to be getting rain and snow over the next few days.

I'm working on a Portegse course through Rosetta Stone.  I'm getting this through work.  Interesting class, but I discovered tonight that being tired and not feeling too spiffy is not condusive to a good learning session.

Been busy, busy lately.  Not much time for trains.

All for now.

Gonna try again today to do more cleanup on the layout. It's looking better. No other plans at this time.

Yesterday was kind of a difficult one.  A former colleague, mentor and friend was shot and killed at his home in Colorado night before last.  He was a good guy and to learn of his tragic death was heartbreaking news.  Still difficult to accept.

dougdagrump - that was some railroad in the Youtube video you shared the other night.  Thanks for sharing it. Bow

laz57 - thanks for the nice comment about the photos - work on the railroad continues to progress slowly.  It is fun though.

fifedog - Yeah, I'm watching the clearance.  I don't have any really big diesels other than a couple of E-7's, but I do have two B&O EM-1's that require a lot of clearance space on my O72 curves.  I took up the track to ballast it, but think I am ok. Smile  If not, I'll have to bring out the chisel and go back to work on that rock face. Hmm

Lion88roar - I hope the talk with your 19 mo. old went like you wanted and the issue is resolved.  If not, you may have to have a talk with the cat. Wink

Kev - like the smoke unit for the cabin and the great looking 1615!  Very nice!  Thumbs Up

cnw1995 - Blackhawk War? Embarrassed  I am going to google that after finishing this post.

Rt - Very nice looking Hudson.  Being a NYC fan, in my view, there is not a better looking locomotive!  Thumbs Up

Banks -  "Bo....there are some of us who only post once or twice a week, some even less."  -  that is probably about my speed.  Thanks!  Smile

Zero Export - enjoyed your story about the headlight.  Years ago I used to do some of my own work on the car.  Now it is pretty much a matter of pulling up to a garage and asking how much is it going to cost!  They're just way to complicated for me to work on anymore.

LV 2089 - very much enjoyed the video of the USN "Dauntless" Dive Bomber.  My only question after watching the video was, what would you do with a WWII Navy dive bomber?  Tongue Tied Trains look safer.  Glad you're feeling better.  Thumbs Up

Jeffrey - Glad you are making progress on the cleanup.  I like that fire station, but it looks like there may have been a fire while the crews were out on a call!  Smile, Wink & Grin

Well guys, have a good day.  I am having lunch later with a couple of fellows I used to work with.  I am sure we will reflect on the loss of our friend and former colleague.  Take care, Bo

Good morning all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the teens.  Where is that global warming everyone talks about?  And the hits just keep on coming.  Something bad happened again on that which I cannot talk about.  This occurred on the day before maybe some progress toward a resolution might be made.  Today daughter gets the drainage tube taken out as well.  When it rains, it pours.  At least work is quiet.  I am tired, guys, just tired.  They say God does not give you more than you can handle, but I wish He did not have so high an opinion of me :-)

No Beacon tonight.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

A quick sip. Besides I don’t like coffee so it is Pepsi for me. Got to run to town and send two more packages. Only one left if the guy ever pays. Tongue Tied

Bright sun but like with BOC cold. Was 12 degrees earlier. Don’t know what Chief is crying for.  Crying

BTW Happy anniversary to Chief and my condolences to your wife for having to put up with you for 27 years.  Whistling

Bo, sorry about your friend. Is he the one on the news that ran the prison system? Sad indeed.  Sad  Angel

Mike, prayers for that you can not talk about and your daughter. You will pass God’s test. Yes

I am glad you are feeling better Jake. Smile

Right you are! And it is based on an actual event. The crew was having an indoor BBQ in the bay when they were called out on a fire call. No one thought about the grills (big wood burning types that were towable). The windows were closed so there wasn't sufficient cross ventilation and they smoked the place up. No fire damage but a huge amount of smoke damage.

Aloha. Sunny but freezing again. Looks like snow over the weekend. May have to adjust some things to avoid it. Some of our electronics are acting up. I need to spend some time forensic'ing. BOC, when it rains, it pours...  Bo, I heard about that shooting and am sorry for the tragic loss of your friend. Mike C, praying for strength for you during this hard season.  JoeD, wish you were my boy's coach. Big Smile Of course, it's so cold here, the local teams are pushing back everything. When I grew up, we only played in summer. Now Little League (and certainly outdoor soccer) begin pretty early.

Temp is 22, this March weather really s##ks. The Michigan fruit growers won't have to worry about (too) early blossoms being killed by frost this year. I think we will both stay in today and just goof off...S.J.

Alexis, hope your feeling better.

Good Morning, 34 and cloudy at the Jersey Shore. So far we missed the rain and snow predicted.

Happy Belated Birthdays to Granny and Katherine!

Had a great chat on the Tardis last night. SJ, confirmed with Doray and we will be getting the first batch of Lemon Ice Cream of the season! Plus a few other flavors! Charlie, I am bringing the Fox's U Bet!

I have a few errands to run then it is pack up what i am working on tonight and head off for an evening at Mom's. She did good at chemo and the Doc's visit yesterday.

Bo, I know what you mean being overwhelmed keeping up here. I missed 1 day and it took me an hour to catch up. Your layout is great! Prayers for your friend and his family. I think I may have read about him in the paper yesterday. Angel

Joe, I would like to meet you at York!

Jim: Congrats on the 200,000 mi.

SPMan: Ray, Good luck with MTH.

Brent: I hope that it solves the problem. Looks like Christina is in the Terrible Two's Stage early. Good luck. We went thru it also.

Submmbob: We should call you "Trader Bob". Cool Deals! Cool

DougDG: I better not show that Easter Train to AF53. It may "wind up" at my house!

Jake: My last half of Senior Year I could not wait to get out! But it was a different era and a lot of my friends were older.

Ryan: I hope your wife gets over being angry soon. That must have been a torturous ride to the airport.

RT: Nice Hudson! Better yet, how do you get your wife to paint?

John F: Hope to see you at York!

Laz, Roy: The RTC for breakfast sounds great!

Have a Great Day!

John
