Hey guys!
Quick post before bed.....
John - Which restaurant?
- Alexis, MikeC Jack and Ryan...
Ryan - I made a clean break. She was verbally abusive for years, finally had enough. Don't suffer, move on. I gave it 21 years. I told her I'd be gone in 3 weeks. She has talked to me 4 or 5 times since. Her loss as I wanted to be amicable. Financially it sucks but mentally and physically, I'm better off as you will be.
Bitter cold and snow yesterday, much nicer and 50 today.
Work has cut out the majority of my computer access so no more from work .
I am the monster in your head...And I thought you'd learn by now, It seems you haven't yet.I am the venom in your skin --- Breaking Benjamin
Ryan, MikeC, Alexis, Jack, and anyone I missed,
Sorry for being MIA lately. Been busy with other stuff and haven't felt like posting. Checked out the MTH set catalog. They need to go back to the caliber of sets they offered around 2000-06. Those 2-8-0 and 4-6-0 steamers just don't do it for me. I'd like to see the Bantam Northerns, Turbines, and 4-6-2 Pacifics come back.
Jim
Gonna be a cool one tonight. Weather guesser is talking about freezing so I'll have the heater on low. Time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.

Sunny and mid 40's today. Sunday's snow cannon deposit is rapidly fading away.
Oops - that was my wife's grandfather's 100th birthday. I distinctly remember fiddling with the spelling of 'grandfather' in my last post. Must be that I fiddled it ight out of the post!
KEV - I am an engineer. I always bounce my ideas off of my skilled trade guys and operators before implementing them. I've found that we end up with a better product, or process, or implememtation when everybody puts their 2 cents worth in.
All for now.
Konbanwa,
I wish we would have had all this cold weather when it was actually winter. It’s been raining most of the day as well. I had a quick two-mile run this morning before work and the rain. I’m back to shorter running distances now that the marathon training is over. I might run a half-marathon in May and will run a 10-K in June. The workday flew by and we have no big plans for the evening.
Fife – That’s great news about the princess.
8N – Thanks for the clarification; typos happen to the best of us.
I’ll pray for all of us in need.

good morning
An article in yesterdays paper says that Mondays snow should be the last and were to start seeing more "Spring Like" weather. We'll see
In looking at the new "Apartment" , so to speak, its looking like I will have to shelf the O gauge stuff for a while. Although I have been looking at some of those plans for the "Dealer" layouts and am tempted. Won't be able to run the big stuff, but at least something will be running. I am hoping its no more than a 5 year thing. I figure what I have been paying on a morgage, I can bank, and with some cash deals I have been known to do, I should be able to pay out right for a house in 5 or so years. Not to mention I have what was suposed to pay for my garage, which puts me off to a great start.
Even though it will be a tad on the rough side, I have lived in much worse. But as I stated above the positives out weigh the negatives, such as the company will cover the utilities, etc.
we shall see what this wonderful Wensday holds

Good morning. It's 33° with 88% humidity. The high will be 65°.I started typing this post at 5am. I'm usually a fairly fast typist but lately I've been having a hard time. I woke up about 3am feeling like crap and still feel like crap now. My vision isn't any better rather quite the opposite. I have the text on my screen set to something like 18 point so I can read it without straining my eyes too much. Both eyes are effected now. It feels like the aftermath of a visit to the vision clinic multiplied several times. The last time they were this bad was in the late 90's and I had a job then that required me to drive two hundred miles a day. I didn't have much choice in the matter. Most of that was in the early morning hours and on dirt roads mostly. It was a boring job but it had it's moments. One morning I found that I had a stowaway. There was a five foot snake in the car and it was right between my feet! I proved conclusively that you can still drive while tap dancing on a snake and running up the backrest of the drivers seat on the cheeks of your butt while cussing a blue streak all at the same time.Well enough about that. It's taken me over an hour to put together this little bit and I have other things I need to do. I don't know if I'll do any layout work today.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....
It is a cloudy 36 degrees. Going up to 44 today with cloudy skies.
Today is a busy day. I have some chores to do and some paperwork to do. Then, it will be lunchtime and I will take a nap this afternoon.

Y'all have a great Wednesday.

Lehigh Valley 2089 Good afternoon. Not a lot of activity today apparently. Day is going pretty good. Plan on getting the nose of the P-38J done and getting it ready for the canopy. Will paint the metal details before adding it, and will then repaint the body from all of the body work done on it. Then it's decal and detail paint time!

IF IT WON'T COME LOOSE BY TAPPING ON IT, DON'T TRY TO FORCE IT. USE A BIGGER HAMMER.
Temp is 32, 40s today.
Kevin K-Line never made a spring for the power truck. It's a trial and error thing getting a round soft spring to hold the truck on the rails. Got some things to do today, I might even miss my nap. Sigh. Today is hump day for the working folk so hump toward the weekend already...S.J.

Going out to brunch with the wife and good old friend from work who retired 10 years ago. Will be good to see him. We were assemblers together for 20 years.
8N, I don't have a problem with most engineers because I worked in engineering for 9 years at the Cat. But there are some that tend to think only in the my way or the highway style. I have worked with many and like you say "we end up with a better product, or process, or implementation when everybody puts their 2 cents worth in." And to do that you just got to get out there and get into the product. One guy I worked with from India, Raj found out that ProE gets you close but you have a better chance using a tape on the real deal. A lot of times we would just get some hose and run it down the boom and stick to get the right fit. We did Hyd lines groups for Cat excavators used in forestry. I would pick out the materials I wanted to use and suggest the style of the design and the engineers would put it on the prints. I enjoyed helping with designs. All Cat log loaders still use the lines groups Raj and I did to this day. They put most of the new engineers with me for at least one project it seemed.
Enough about that, Well I had better go.
Okay SJ I will look for somekind of spring. My hope was you had a suggestion of one in mind.

So much for my first failed attempt using my smart phone to post to the POT. Sorry, Jake. I will try afain later. Jeffrey.......stop waiting to see if your eye improves by itself and get it checked out and fixed. You might lose your eyesight at the rate you are going. Get your Dad to drive you to the Doc's. JACK.
Mornin' boys. Mornin' English. Sunny & 41 (also 10 below normal) here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Fifey got to mix-it-up a little at work last night.

Same plans as always for today, but there's an early dissmisal, so that's more time for me unless I have work.

Had a nice long walk with the Dynamic Duo this morning. Now Mack is across the street playing with my daughter's 2 dogs as Chester is teasing them by walking across the top of the fence.
Kev: Coincidence: My best friend from work, Art, called me and we are doing lunch next week. He is 14 years older than me, but we hit it off and we were teamed up on night shift back in the 70's. He eventually became the Supervisor and I was the Chief. When he retired I took over his spot. A lot of stories to be told.
Rich: We meet at Wildflowers II. When the weather gets nicer we will meet for a BBQ at members houses, businesses and our Firehouse. An upcoming event that you might be interested in is the Toy Trains in Motion - Rods & Rail Show @ Commercial Door Systems in Bensalem, Pa. on Sunday, April 14. Guests are always welcomed at the meetings. You don't have to own a truck to be in the club.
8n: Congrats to your Wife's Grandfather.
Ryan: You can always have fun on a 4x8 layout
Jeffrey: Take care of yourself and get well.
RT: Wheeling and Dealing! Cool!
SJ: I am feeling the same about global warmimg!
Time to make some noise and look busy outside! Decided on going for a 22W x 24L x 13H Extreme Duty Peak Style Garage from Shelter Logic. This will buy me some time on storing my "toys" until I can build the "Dream Garage" and not settle for this is ok. This year it is the conversion from oil to natural gas and the generator and finishing the Craft/Train Room above the attached garage.
Have a Great Day.

Good morning, (just barely ) From the Toy Train Museum in Sunny Strasburg, PA. Back at my photograph cataloging job. Needed a break, so checking into the pot. The PA weather has been very un-spring like. Sunny now but cold and windy. It seems it is either cold and windy or raining. On thing for sure it will get better.
Have a couple of items for sale on the bay but looks like they will go for peanuts. Trying to thin out my collection of stuff I will never run on my layout. Need some shelf space.
Well need to get back to work.
Good morning all,
IIABSDISEI with temps near 40. Finally had a near normal drive to work today. Worked on taxes last night. Watched "The New Normal". Very sad episode last night. AJ might have a young American driver for his second car at Indy this year. Not much else going on. TBIL and I can drive after Arrow tonight. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Good Afternoon All,
Had to take an unexpected day off today due to my youngest son had a fever last night. All seems to be well though today. Fever still a little high 101 range at least but; at least he has been sleeping now for 2 and a half hours so I am pleases with that. Did some wiring on the layout for the main line, next will tackle the inner loop, and from there the switches.
railhead53- Thanks for the warm welcome. I like your website. Layout looks great. Any new update videos coming?
Demay- I live in Ambler. Where did you grow up?
Hudson#685- It's all in good fun. I can take a ribbing now and than. Besides not to sure how the Phil's are going to do this year. Just have to hope that all key players stay healthy.
AF53- Ya T-Ball has been great, and as for the parents, haven't had any issues. Everybody seems to be good about remembering that they are only 5-6, and it's just a game.
Have a good day all. Talk to you soon!!
-Kevin
Belated WELCOME, KEVINK !!!!! Hope your little one is feeling better.
Re little league parents......give them some time to show their true colors and I can assure you at least a couple of them will "act out" like two year olds, throwing a tantrum over the play of the team or their little one. And screaming criticisms like this simple learning experience means more to them than life itself. And rest assured they will not be happy that the coach and the managers are not too interested in the score.
With regard to these POT guys and their New York Yankees, don't pay them any mind. They are twisted, the whole lot of them. Some of the NYY players are older and slower than I am, or at least it seems that way!!!
Jack
good afternoon
Kevin22, never fails every season at least once around here there an article in the paper about little league parrents getting so out of hand that the police have to be summoned. shame
KEV isn't neat to go by a piece of equiptment and say, yep, that was MY idea.
slow day at work.
We had one of the four yearly "Unannouced" visits from my freinds at the Department of Environmental Protection. Always a warming experiance
they said everything looked good. We'll see how that conflicts with the report that is issued next week
Always fun.
fifedog LawsonFarms - Hamlin out for 6 weeks for spine injury.
I remember the same thing happened to the 3 car. It killed him. We have come a long way in safety since then, but there is always the possibility of a problem.
Was this round 2 of the Hamlin/Lagano saga? It did allow the M&M car to win! Hurray!

Hi. Work tonight, so that messes up my plans a little bit, but the more you plan, the more that can go wrong I guess.
Good Afternoon Guys,
Taking a little break from working downstairs on some scenery work and thought I would catch up on the posts.
Hudson#685 - If my wife pointed to the ZW-L and suggested thinking about upgrading, I would run, not walk to my nearest LHS to pick one up! All kidding aside, I really like the new ZW-L, it is a beautiful thing! I know it is expensive, but so is are the locomotives I operate. I had no complaints with my old ZW's, but to me it just made sense to purchase the new ZW-L to power my railroad. I only run modern equipment using command control (TMCC), so I can't really speak to the ZW-L's performance with conventional equipment. Both CTT and the other popular 3-rail publication have both included reviews of the ZW-L in their latest issues.
fifedog - Go to Google and type in Civil War Railroad Images and you'll see some interesting photos and I think there are several good sites there. There are books that focus on the railroads during the War Between the States/Civil War. Amazon.com carries a good number of them. Hope this helps. If not, let me know and I'll see what else I can find.
KEVINK22 - Thanks for the kind words about the website. I am overdue on an update video. I am thinking after I finish the current scenery project it would be a good time to do a short video. Thanks again! Oh and by-the -way, when you get a chance, sit down at the table and enjoy some good tasting grits. I think, if nothing else, it will make the Chief feel good!
Zero Expert - Very sorry about what you are having to go through. On the lighter side, I really like the trackside view out the window in the photo you shared. I think I could easily get use to all those trains going by! I hope things work out for the best.
Well, back to the scenery project. Have a good evening and take care. Bo
You can visit my website Bo's Trains at http://www.bostrains.com Thanks!
Hi guys, We just got back from our visit with my friend Herman. He is black as coal and 9 years older than me and I am white as snow but I have no better friend that I have ever worked with than him. We had a great time today and so did the wifes. I feel good. And I was way off,,, he has been retired 15 years not 10? Whare does the time go??? The guy just don't age?? Oh the stories!!
No other news but that is okay with me today.
Ryan, you are right to look at something and say I did that and it is a part of me is neat.
I will check in later.
