Aloha. Beauty of a day. No humidity. Fall-ish.  John, that threshing museum sounds cool. Off to the Threshing Bee here in a hour. I served as a French waiter last night for my wife's cooking club. Hilarity was had by all. They were helped by copious amounts of vin blanc. At least I got to eat their good food. Prayers for Kev's SiL Dan, Jeff's mom, BoC and Brutus' recovery.

Hi GUYZ,

Happy birthday Kev Happy B-Day

Took Honda back to dealer this morning and spent about three more hours there.  They rechecked power steering fluid, power steering pump, wheel alignment, tire pressure and power steering pump pressure.  Final conclusion is that they do not know what is causing the stiffness in my steering since they replaced the rack and pinion on the front end.  Car is still driveable but steering is still stiff and non returning after turns.  I would not want to drive this car on a long trip as it would tire you out with the steering.  I took the car with the condition that I am not satisfied with the work and that I consider it incomplete.  They are suppose to have a meeting with the manager now to see what to do next.

later,

Ray

KEV Happy B-Day  CakeCakeCake  Hope you are not like Buckeye.  One a month.  By now, Buckeye is 6,363 years old. Whistling

Grand opening of the new location of Hunters Haven was a bang up sucess.  Lots of new and old customers.  Lots of guns [mainly handguns] and bows sold.  Ate only 1 hotdog.  Sticking to the diet.

The storms we were suppose to get yesterday and today have not appeared so far.  Only several good down pours.

Taking the boys [Hunters Haven kids] to the train show tomorrow.  Selling the Williams Santa Fe F-7 ABA, 4 60' aluminum luxuary liner cars and a Southern Pacific Dash 8.  All test run by a buddy of mine from Texas.  He wants $400 for the whole lot.  New, over $800 worth of engines and cars.  Anyone interested, let me know before 9 AM tomorrow.

Now for some dinner.

I've had only one car that did something like that. An early 80's Ford Escort. The problem had something to do with the fluid being pumped through the rack. Instead of turning easily and returning to center as it should have it required some effort to steer it and after the wheels were turned they would stay at that position until I turned them back. I got the entire rack replaced and the problem went away with the old rack.

Good evening all,

Not too sure what is good about any of it at this point.  Work was overwhelming Friday as I did 19 new case reports and am still not caught up.  Ugggh!  Bad day Friday got worse as Lucas got e-mail from Recorder's office that an "audit" showed he would be one credit short of graduation even after finishing the "Incomplete" he is working on.  His transcript shows he has 120+3 credits (for the "incomplete") and the minimum is 122.  Hmmm...seems like the "audit" needs auditing.  Some one will be getting a phone call on Monday.  Took Victory  drinks out to "my"  soccer kids Friday.  All went well there until I went to give out "first" drink.  It is just a little tradition I have over the years for some player who may not be recognized in any other way, but I overhead one of the kids say he had waited all these years to be the one to receive the first drink and he did not get it.  Felt so d--n bad after that as I really did not think anyone cared about that.  Purpose was to build kids up, not tear them down.  Saturday was worse as I thought I would help him a bit by getting him games to ref.  First game out of the box he somehow runs his leg into uncapped end of players' bench.  Trip to urgent care for some stitches.  No money and banged up leg.  I felt like c--p after that as well.  I did ref two games but heart was not in it.  Mowed the yard this afternoon as well and wife and I swept floors tonight.  Got Visa bill today and there are some issues with that as well.  More phone calls on Monday.  Van still not fixed and get run around on that as well.  Even more phone calls on Monday.   For once local teams I reffed did not lose today as one tied and the other actually smashed another one.  No phone calls on that matter on Monday.  TBIL and I can drive, but keep those Old Mils coming tonight.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Thanks for the prayer list, Jack - I'll crib it and offer my own as well.

BOC.....for positive test results.

Jeffrey.......for your Mom.

KEV.......for your SIL Dan and your Katie.

Charlie.......for your Dad.

Dennis.......for your successful adoptions.

KEVIN - HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY WISHES, hope you get something that runs on 3 rails and toots!

Mike - hope you are feeling better.  We have some Blue Moons and Sam Adams?  I thought we had some Old Mills, but some bear got at 'em!

I was feeling a lot better today, so Kevin (my son) and I went to the store and got some clothes.  We got matching Avengers T-shirts, so we'll match Smile  We then picked up a couple sheets of drywall for the shower and some bags of sand, plus some odds and ends.  When we got home, Char had volunteered us all to go help her friend move some stuff out of a storage container.  Our friends Nate and Jim donated a lot of chairs and tables to a lady who is setting up a reception hall.  There were like a dozen big tables, really heavy, and about 200 chairs.  100 were matching and stacked, but the other 100 were cloth covered and didn't stack.  We were lucky and the friends' church showed up with dollies and trucks and trailers, so they took it all away in one shot.  I'm beat now, that's for sure!

TARDIS is ready and I think it's Kevin's turn to drive, so let's get going!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Konnichiwa,

Saturday was pretty busy so I did not have time to post.  I was able to enjoy a five-mile run before all the chores started.  I also enjoyed a brief chat with Brutus.  The older son and I are the only ones in the family who are not sick right now.  He and I were the only ones to make it to Sunday school this morning.  We didn’t stay for church as I needed to get home and nurse the sick ones.  I only went to Sunday school since I am teaching the class.  I have some recorded UFC fights to watch and I hope to watch the Olympic marathon this evening.

Thanks to Kev and Jeffrey for the great videos.

8N – I like cabeese as well; however, I could not find it in any dictionaries.  I’ve seen used it plenty of times in train magazines and railroad websites.

Doug M. – Très bien.  Servis tu escargot?  Merci beaucoup pour les liens.

Kev – I’ve been praying for Dan.  I hope it works out for him.  Happy Birthday!

Jack – I need to send you some curry and a Yankees hat.

Hudson John – 111 days will fly by in no time.  Where’s your BIL been?

BOC – Any expansion is a great thing.  I’m still praying for you.

Charlie – I’ll be praying for you dad and your family.

Jeffrey – I’m still praying for your mom and your family.

Laz – Have fun with the tour.

Mike C. – I’m sure everything will work out for Lucas, your Visa, and the players.  You do a lot for those players and I’m certain they all appreciate it.  Hang in there.

Sayonara,

Joe

No plans for today. Still feeling tired for some reason. Maybe I'll just go back to bed.

B.O. watch it hopefully its like me when it happens and they say its must be angina (sp) as nothing actually shows up but its good you came into ER never can be to safe

Morning all unpacking my NYC Reissue ( back to classics ) set. Certain folks wanted pics and seeing ones birthday was yesterday or today figure get some pics and put it in SPF

Need to finish unpacking and get the set on the track and then take the pics and up load to computer and photobucket lol so will be a bit yet.

Figured out I must just be use to the ALCO's as there scale and these aren't thats why they look small to me. Still think its a great set for the Money.

Hope all have a good Sunday. I'm off till Thursday morning as on leave again.

Time to get these trains moved to the track in the den so I can get the pics so you all have a good morning.

Mornin' boys.  A pleasant 73 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Wifey and I spent 9 hours at Camden Yards yesterday.  It was Eddie Murray day, and we were there for his statue dedication.  Pretty cool to see Eddie, Cal Ripken, Earl Weaver, Jim Palmer, Ken Singleton, Rick Dempsey, and even Brooksie Robinson (the greatest Oriole ever) together again.  Also there were Jim Thome and Ozzie Smith.  The ball park handed out replica statues to every fan, and it was quite the turnout.  Then around 1830 the rains came.  Game finally started at 2200.  Bought great seats (right behind O's dugout) for my bride. Royals 7 Orioles 3.

Happy B-Day to KRM, and Rudy too.

It's a sunny 68, going into the low 80s today.

RT the F3 are scale size just not super detailed. A GP9 is not the same size as a U36, they are all different. Nothing new since last night. I did get to chat with a couple of the Tardis guys before bed time. I don't know if granny has plans for us or not. So I will wait and see...S.J.

Mornin All.

Today is veg-out day. Busy day at the museum on friday then saturday was the final day of Circus Week. Dead Trying to keep the G gauge Circus trains on the tracks that the kiddos were running kept us all hopping, felt as if I were in Seal Training. Unfortunately it seems as if a lot of them don't understand what "no" means and some of the parents Bang Head. Got home about 4 and "coucherized til almost 8.

Well over 100* for several days now, hate to see the utility bills next month. Supposed to cool a bit in a few days we shall see.

Happy B-Day to Kev and Rudy the Wonderdog !
