Forgot it was March. Wink

Aloha. Grey and cold today. Nice break to have lunch with pastor. Hope to run trains tonight. Great news about your sis, Ray!  Dennis and Rich, I remember the NYC radio ads. "Funny Car! Funny Car! Funny Car!" about the races in 'Englishtown, NJ"  Jon, sorry about the gas prices. Just gouging tourists or our heavy taxes I guess. Heck, we're still using winter formulation and the refineries (which process the heavy crude from up north) are right here. I don't get it.  Jack, I've always done my own taxes - and I do them as soon as I get a W-2 - because I consider my lending $ to Uncle Sam as a form of enforced savings.  Fortunately, my situation is pretty simple because we don't have much $. Smile. Kev and SJ, I love paying bills online, and even tithing to the church that way too. I'm vexed when I have to write a check and mail something in.

It was a bi-lateral lipotripsy.  That means that both kidneys were blasted. I'm sore, nauseated, hungry and thirsty.  They want to blast again in 6 weeks.  The rocks were described by the doctor as hard.

KRM & dougnotta - Thanks.  Had to swipe my youngest princess's ladybug pillow pet for comfort.  ..and at the end of my rainbow awaits a "scopey-thingy" as sirjames would put it.... Of course, with the meds, no Drinks nor Beer.   BTW- youngest princess does not want her pillow pet back.

SPMan (trying to get caught up) - Great news on your sis. Yes

cheapclassics - Princess Sparkle Pony was a non-factor...but FOX still made it 24-7 about her.  Thought it would have been fitting if the 36 had won due to track damage.  It was Blaney's points that were "handed" to Ms Patrick.

LawsonFarms - KyBu put on a clinic at the shootout.  Not sure why he faded in the 500.

Went to the parents place for dinner today. Started as stew, many things were added and ended up as General Sherman's Breakfast. Onions and homemade cornbread. Delicious!

It is all good and up to each person’s taste. Paying bills on line is like liver,,, you hate it or you love it. No one in the middle. For me I like face to face and the time it takes to oversee what I am doing with the money I have. My son would tell you I am a dumb$1***$2  Whistling

Sunny and about 70 here today.  Weather report is calling for snow flurries tomorrow morning.

The local theater is putting on The Full Monty for the next couple of weeks.  My wife and I attended opening night tonight.  It is a really funny show.  Opening night was billed as 'lady's night', so I kind of felt like an onion in the rose patch.  The ladys did whoop it up some, which probably encouraged the actors.

The front office space in the plant is being re-modeled.  While that work is being done, those folks have temperoraly moved to other areas in the plant.  The real fun part is that nobody bothered to tell anybody where they were moving to, or what phone they were going to use.  Spent a good chunk of this morning searching the plant for the proper people I needed signatures from.  Stuff like this keeps the EF elevated.

All for now.

Konbanwa,

We had a rainy, cold day today.  The rain lasted long enough to melt all the snow we had.  At least we were able to play in it yesterday when we first got home.  I enjoy being on vacation and visiting new places but I always love to sleep in my own bed.  Today was my last day of leave for this week so it's back to work on Monday.  My next class also starts on Monday so I need to get all the sleep I can.  The two older kids have a kids party at the church tonight and I found a babysitter to watch the youngest child.  The wife and I are going out for a dinner date.

Laz – Chuck’s cannon gave us a quick snow fix, but unfortunately it rained all day today and it’s all melted.

Buckeye – I’m glad your procedure went well.

Jack – I figured I’d let some of the younger guys watch over things for a few days.  I guess they did alright and my vacation ends today.  However, the Air Force still says I have too many days of leave saved up and I will have to use more soon.

Fife – Welcome back.  I hope your healing is quick and easy.

Sayonara,

Joe

Hello all,

TGIF!!!!!!!

Frosty 29 this AM 50's and rain by bedtime.

Still sore and moving kinda slow from the steer escapade. Going to fry fish this evening at Parishes Seafood Buffet

Fife  welcome back. Hope all goes well. Mrs told me the check cleared a week or so ago but I've heard nothing from TCA.

We do pay most bills online. I give no one authority to tap my checking account. Also we have one credit card for online purchases and Paypal. It has a $1,000.00 limit to minimize the risk. Bank wanted to give me a 10k limit and when I explained it was only for Online use  they thought that it was a good idea.

Taxes!!! Many moons ago I did them myself. Then one year some coworkers convinced me to go to a CPA they used. I got a large return I didn't expect. Shortly after the CPA was indited and sent to jail for Tax Fraud. Luckily I was never audited. Then I used HR Block for many tears after that. When their fees were double the cost of Turbo Tax I switched to it and have been using it ever since.

Busy weekend planned. Try to get back tonight.

Prayers for those in need

Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....

It is a frosty 28 degrees. Going up to 48 today with some rain due.

Today is a busy day. Wife is grocery shopping. I am doing chores around the house. Nap later.

Filled up our car's gas tank yesterday. 40 bucks. The last time I put gas in it was Feb.2nd. We ran a whole month on one tank. 28 mpg on a 2002 Chevy Tracker LT with V6 engine. I think that's pretty good.

Buckeye & LAZ.....  TGIF

Buckeye... Hope you are feeling better after your surgery.

Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.

Y'all have a great Friday.

That's pretty good. I filled the tank on my van yesterday. That was $50 starting from a bit under half a tank. My gas mileage is somewhat less than half what yours is. Luckily I don't go much of anywhere.

Good morning. It's 72° and cloudy. The high will be 82° with a 20% chance of rain in the morning and 40% in the afternoon.

Looks like a slight chance of showers this morning followed by showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Glad I'm not doing anything outside today. No plans for layout work.

The Fascination was created by Paul M. Lewis, the creator of the Airomobile, current on display in the National Automobile Museum (The Harrah Collection).

The first Fascination was built in the late 1960s in Denver, Colorado. Three cars were built in Sidney, Nebraska; the first Sidney car, powered by a four-cylinder engine, is the one here on display.

A total of five cars were built; all have survived and are owned by two individuals.
In the 1930s, Paul M. Lewis designed a three-wheeled Airomobile vehicle which would ultimately prove to be an unsuccessful venture. Though not a production success, it did inspire future designs, include the Fascination Prototype which was created in the late 1960s. The Fascination project was undertaken by the Highway Aircraft Corp. in Sidney, NE. Five vehicles were created before the company collapsed.
