Just got back from a pro wakeboard tour event in Ft. Worth. Some fantastic tricks performed. My trick is to get up on a wakeboard and not fall.

So Chief has not checked in on his B-Day yet?

Having to always keep an eye over my shoulder - some tricky Ohizoin's are on the prowl.

I seriously thought that Chief's birthday was tomorrow?  HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  Happy B-Day  Hope you got something great for your birthday!

Heat index was 100 plus here, although it was 98 on the book.  Went to Home Depot, some furniture place, and JC Penny's with my wife.  Wallet is sad, but she is glad, so it's all good.  Had a nice sirloin at Applebees and a couple ice cold Sam Adams lagers.

TARDIS is ready!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

HOT today. 90+.

Chief - happy birthday.

My wife had her last PT session this week for her knee.  She now has full extension and 120 degrees of bend.  Knee doctor's appointment on Monday.  We are expecting it to be the last one.

Went downtown this morning to watch the parade for the Scott Joplin Festival.  Short parade.  The model A club had some cars there, a pickup with a ragtime band playing in the bed, and the participants of the 20's clothing fashion show.

Stopped by the LHS and discovered that the Christmas catalog and my Minuteman boxcar had arrived.

Got my motorsports fix tonight by going to the truck & tractor pull that was in town tonight.  The gas powered truck classes were dominated by GM and Ford trucks, the diesel truck classes were dominated by Dodges.  Really enjoyed the big blocks at full song, and the smoke out of the diesels made me smile.  Still not quite as enjoyable as watching E.J. Potter running in mid Michigan in the late 70's and early 80's.  The sport has grown up since then, too.  Like NASCAR or NHRA, that has taken some of the interesting machinery and people out of the sport.

All for now.

Mornin' boys.  Thunderboomers and 67 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  No yatchet today.  Spent the evening with wifey in Havre De Grace - dinner, window shopping, ice cream, sailboat racing.  Nice time.

I shall be using red type on white background, in honor of my dear friend Buckeye.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a sunny 70 degrees. Bad storm last night. Lots of heavy lightening. Rain, hail. Going up to 84 today. We have a few trees down in the back yard, along the treeline.

Today is an easy day. Nascar race and ballgame. And the nap this afternoon.

Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.

Y'all have  a great Sunday.

Good morning

sun and 80s today.

Temp reached 92 yesterday melting the last of the snow. So we have 3 months till it returns the day after Labor Day. No plans for the day, still have memories of the train meet but was glad to get home and into the shower. I hope everyone has a great sunday.

Hi GUYZ,

Cool one here today with big storms last nite.  We went trout fishing the BRO and I and caught and released 13 rainbows all pretty nice sized about 11-13 inches and fat ones.  Good nite but was a little slow for the 2.5 hrs out.  Came home and had fire with dogs and burgers and OL MILs.  Then the rain started but outdoor fireplace is covered so we stayed dry.  Today gotta do food shopping run vacuum and laundry.   Watched Stanley cup and missed the overtime goal, I switched channels and when I came back it was over it only took 11 seconds, gee.

Stay frosty and watch your topknot,

Cake  Birthday boy, where are you?  I am concerned that we have not heard from the Chief with details of his wild birthday celebration.  My fear is that he is suffering from serious gastrointestinal issues as the result of eating birthday cake made from grits and too much popcorn.  Smile, Wink & Grin

Aloha. And happy belated birthdays to our distinguished Chief. Cake; i feel so honored to be amongst so many distinguished, experienced gentlemen. Perhaps someday I will earn a monthly or bi-annual birthday too like Buckeye.  It is another gorgeously hot day here. Pastor's birthday party later. He's only 40. I feel so old. I have to lead a blessing. Hope I don't screw up. Bride leaving on a three day retreat so that means pizza and bagels for every meal, and continuous Speed channel and baseball games on TV.

Mornin' All.

Happy B-Day to the Roseyville Rascal ! Cake

Good run friday, a few electrical issues but no cat-tastrophies.

The munchkin spent the nite friday so that means no sleeping in on saturday. As usual bacon waffles on the dining car, his fav at grampa's house. Playtime the rest of the day til we took him home and had dinner with daughter and sil. SIL made fried chicken, mashed taters & gravey, and corn on the cob topped off with homemade sourdough rolls.  Barely had room for some raspberry tart for dessert. Embarrassed

Think today is a kinda R&R day. Huh?

Buckeye, Ain't that the most fun ever. By the way did you see that flyer from Trainworld about the "G" gauge 4-4-0 live steamer sale? Heck of a price.

Have to start putting together the 4th of July train, anybody ever see any 1/48th(+ / -) bunting that could be used to decorate gons/ore/hopper cars ?

Forgot what else I was gonna say.

Good afternoon all,

It's great to be back home with the wife and kids - there's nothing like a good night's sleep in your own bed after being away.  We are having a very nice Sunday.  The wife and two older kids are at the base pool right now and the baby and I are about to go out into the garage.  It is very hot today - going to hit 99 - so I doubt the wife and kids will be at the pool much longer.

Happy Birthday Chief! Happy B-Day

Laz - RJ's is on the cor!ner of Centre and Vine streets across from the IGA.

Where is our cheif?  Too much birthday party I expect.

Went to TTOS Southwestern meet today.  I could only stay about an hour but the meet was well attended and more sellers than I have seen in a long time.  Lots of action.  However, we were just informed this week that TTOS National has suspended our membership in the TTOS National organization. "At the April 30th 2011 National Board of Directors meeting, Southwestern Division's membership in National was terminated by a near unanimous vote.  We didn't leave them, they left us."  The forgoing was a quote from the Southwestern Limited, a publication newsletter of the TTOS Southwestern Division.  Don't ask me if any of this is legal or in compliance with any by laws etc.  I suppose more will be revealed as time goes on.  It's all about club politics I suspect.  I have more important stuff to do like live life and enjoy my trains.  I don't have time for this.

Spent more time at J.C. Penny today than I did at train meet and bought a lot more there.  A close friend was selling at the meet and had several tables full of stuff.  Hope he did well.  People are still peddling old Model Railroad Magazines etc.  I can't give em away.

Lunch was not too exciting.  Just opened a can of chicken noodle soup and had a cheese sandwich with it.  I have a large eggplant in the frig and might make something with that if I can find an easy receipe.  When I was a kid, my mother used to just bread it and fry it.  Eggplant parmesean sounds good but labor intensive.

Well see you later coffee pot buckeroos and may the Good Lord take a liking to you.

Ray

RT - yer just part of the conspiracy - trying to cajole me...I am holding my own although Chuck is leading the lynch mob....but note he is willing to let by-gones be bygones for a toasty sum of $$$$$$.

8nT - good to hear about the Missus' therapy going well.

Wife and I celebrate our 25th Tuesday. Our daughter is 20 Wed.

I think this Chief's B-Day thing is an Ohizoan conspiracy to get us to celebrate everybody's B-Day at least once a week. Something about "keepin' the presents coming..."

100 and hazy here today. This is weather that makes nawtherners cringe. Steering wheel so hot in most cars that the weaklings wear gloves. You can recognize a good suthern car by its windows up and frost coming from the A/C vents, even in winter. It was perfect boating day and we got our annual shake down cruze in this morning. Went early and had the place to ourselves. No wind and the lake was smooth. Son got some good wakeboarding in so he was happy.

Jr. almost got a win today - but fuel woes again? Consistent top 5s means he's gotta bust outta the slump soon...?

Have a great evening all!

Evening all!

Mavs vs Heat - would be nice if Mavs controlled the game vs last 2 minute drill.

T-Storms - lots of lightning but little rain, so running sprinklers. Got 3/4 of lawn mowed before the storms hit.

Talked to the Chief. He had a nice week and B-Day, lake house and family.

Been a busy weekend and even busier week.

Spent Saturday in Sandy Eggo, attending a coumputer conferance.  Did a presentation for them, I think this makes the 14th or 15th year we have done it.  Was a long day by the time got back home.

Then today worked a local show.

Looking forward to starting a G-Scale track in the back yard.  Hopefully get started this week!

Chris just got back from a Geological Field Trip to the Grand Canyon, Brice, and Zion.  The Class was gone 6 days.  We get the benefit of having a tour guide for a future trip.  It will be great.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Good news 8NT - hope she continues to improve Thumbs Up

I'm off tomorrow to do some chores and some stuff is getting delivered for the house.  I hope to do a little bit of plumbing work and then see if there is anything amiss.

Nice chats with the guys on the messenger tonight, just trying to figure out how to get the computer to do something and then I'm off to bed.

TARDIS is ready though - let's get going!

Back from the lake house.  Thanks Neddles for starting the new Pot.

Seems some carpetbagger and Yam Dankees have played with the title.  Speaking of sorry Yankees [lower than the lowest part of the ocean and probably located where there is this red guy with horns and pitchfork], I understand that the leader [the sorriest of them all] is making up false documents to try and intimidate some great Southern Gentleman.

Thanks for all of the birthday wishes.  Unlike Buckeye, I only have one birthday per year.  Actually Buckeye was not born.  He was created by some wierd deranged Dr.  Buckeye goes by Frank but there is more to his name.

Lake house stay was great.  Worked a lot and fished some.  Caught a limit of stripers.  Frankie, GF and her son came on my birthday.  Cathy [oldest] came along too.  Had dinner in Henderson with In-laws.

Off to bed.  Busy day tomorrow [Mayor stuff].

BTW: Banks, you might not want to belong to that Yank group as you eat grits.

Summer weather pattern here now.  90+, though humidity felt like it was down a bit.

Spent most of the afternoon in the basement doing some odd jobs.  Went out and watched Pirates at the movie theater too.  Reasonable movie.

Train stuff - what kind of military theme cabooses has Lionel made over the years?

All for now.
