Good morning all,

Well I called it: the storms woke me up this morning around 0300.  I didn't mind it though; it's easy for me to fall asleep during storms and rain.  However, the storms woke the baby up a few times.  It is still raining now, but the area needed it.  I'm glad it's Friday but I need to finish a lot of work today.

Jack - We still have one television we bought when we first got married nearly 17 years ago.  It isn't the sharpest picture anymore but it still functions.

Hudson Jack - That is very awesome.  My son builds obstacle courses in the house, much to the chagrin of my wife.

Good day,

Joe

Lunch Time,

The moratorium on train buying has been lifted but restricted. Ray, my package should be hitting home today.

Joe, through the years my son made the back yard besides his "Training Center", a go kart track, Paint ball "battlefield" with fox holes, bunkers, etc. My wife did not mind because she knew where he was. Now to try to level it off again. I did have grass planted at one time.

Thoughts and Prayers for all in need.

Blueberryhill RR

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

Speaking of Don Baker, as Treasurer of OTTS, I have received a cashier's check  from him, to cover his fines for $10,872.09. I also got word from Union Pacific that a box car full of Cheerios is on it's way. So, we will schedule our annual OTTS Pizza and Beer Party at LAZ's house and invite the usual 300 people. Any beer left over , after the party, will be donated to LAZ, for being a good Host. Last year, we gave him 3,000 gallons of Old Mil  for his hospitality.

Chuck

Chief, The Master Plan is working!  They are not suspecting anything, will proceed with the next stage of the operation.  I received word from Chuck the suspension is lifted immediately, and the party at Laz's is a celebration of the reinstatement.  More soon!

Afternoon fellas and gals:   Last word on taxes (not), so far this year this township has lost 57.2 million in assesment value due to tax appeals. Too bad i'm not one of 'em..... yet.  The carnage has just begun.  Not too much fun being on any of these municipal boards, too much acrimony and finger pointing. Wifey says to go to one of the meetings to see for myself what's goin' on. I says no thanks, cardio man tells me to stay away from politicians, not good for my health.   My grandpa would tell me in his best english; never trust a politician, never trust the banks and if something sounds too good to be true, it probly isn't!    Smart man my grandpa, died at age 88 when I was away in the Army. Still miss him.        later.

Brent,

IsuckE 9.0 is a companion to Visblows. Indifferent  Oops - Sign

SJ,

I have the instruction in the MDK service manual, but that is unfortunately all that is there.  I am afraid to tighten the spring too much because of what happens to the base.

Jack,

Winter presents another problem.  I wouldn't think of subjecting a Mustang to salt, and the PGT has some scars from salt from when it was my daily.  I'd probably keep the Sunfire around for winter and those times when someone needs to borrow a vehicle.  It's so rusty now that there is no point in trying to save it.

Good evening everyone.  Been busy these past few days.  I missed Jim's big news...Congratulations!  Hope it is everything you want and more.  When I accepted my current position, it kept getting better and reports from my old practice kept getting worse.

Was a good day...I took off.  Daughter graduated from Kindergarten last night, son finished his schooling today.  Son got awarded the "Leadership" award from his class.  Also got the A Honor roll for the year.  He did very well and to show our appreciation, we took him to Toys R Us for a new Lego set....the Queen Anne's Revenge from Pirates of the Caribbean.  He had it together in a little over an hour and it is rated for 9-16 (he is 8).

Regarding our property tax, we just got the statement from the county.  The Mil rate dropped, so our actual property tax dropped, but the School Tax went up by about the same that the property tax dropped.  Not going to complain, for the house and all the land, it is just over $3K.  We also have very good schools in our county, so it's all good.

Chief, thanks for the new society!  BTTS Forever!
Better get back to the family.  Hope everyone has a blessed weekend.
Dennis

Good Evening

72 right now.

Finally a nice day, spent a lot of it outdoors.

Jim/probe that's probably why the manual says don't mess with the spring. I'm sure you will get it working.

Banilla and A & W are waiting for the thingy so come on over this way..S.J.

Happy belated birthday, Buckeye!  I think I missed one?!

Laz - too funny!

Family haircut night, then went to Five Guys Burgers & Fries for dinner with my son.  We got his grades and he has all A's except for a B in math.  The F on that worksheet did not change his grade in math, it was already a solid B.  I had a talk with him and let him off his grounding, but with a warning.  He appeared to really understand what I was saying - hope so.  It had been a week and grades are basically final now, they only have a couple days next week and no real work at this point, just filling time.

Hudson - super congrats on your son and his honor, have some great pancakes tomorrow!

Hoping for some good weather tomorrow as I need to dig a trench under the deck to bury a drain line and do a couple other little things like that while the ground is soft - but not too muddy.  Also need to do some mowing, so we'll see.

No CTT for me today, but others report they have received a new issue.  Can't wait!  Nice chats with John, Bill, Jim and Charlie tonight.  Beacons are coming on on the scope, so I'll be firing up the TARDIS shortly Laugh  After Larry the Cable Guy TV show is over (on dvr).

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Warming and rainy today.

The new (to me,anyhow) office furniture got here today.  So we spent a big chunk of the day moving furniture.  Now I've got to rearrange my stuff in my office again.  Claimed that the new stuff distrubured the feng-suea (sp?) of my office.  That generated some odd looks from my co-workers Devil.

Forgot to mention that the new CTT arrived yesterday.

Later allegator.

Good morning all.  Looks like a wonderful day out.  We have some friends coming over tonight for dinner and cards.  We are just nailing down the menu and then I will head off to shop.  Now that school is over for the year, we have some time to relax, have a few vacations, and head off to another year.

Brent, looks like the adoption we were looking at, the mother has decided she wants to keep this one.  Not sure as she has a drug history and may change her mind....again.  We are already planning for a trip to China and my wife is thinking we should bring back another souvenir.  We will pray about it.  Will also pray that things go smoothly for you and Susan.

Brutus, my admonition for our kids is to just do your best and challenge yourself, we will support you.  Right now, we are sending them to a different school for next year as our son has been bored.  If they are not adequately challenged, they will become so and their grades will reflect it.

Sir James/Chief, not going to get my veggie garden started this year.  Plan is to build a raised garden, do things right and get one going for next year.  I am thinking of using cross ties to build the raised garden.

Y'all have a blessed day.
Dennis

CALM, among other things was recommended by our Dr. for leg muscle cramps, to help ward off blood clots, as a calming agent  and keep the heart healthy (heart is a muscle). Leg cramps stopped in three days.

www.bbdrdirtdrags.com/ by removing the https:

Well raked the leaves in the yard and got them to the road this morning then came in and hooked up the TPC-300 to the transformer and tmcc and now I can run my standard gauge set from my desk. Don't have to get up to stop or change directions its still a little touchy to change directions but it is doing it a lot better then it did befor so guess it just needs some running an switching of directions.

Not much else going on need to goto Wally world for a couple of items we need but thats about it.

Hope all having a good weekend talk to you all later.

Dennis - Raised gardening is the only way to go (in my opinion).

We have 6 beds 4' X 8' X 30" high, each with a 2' X 4' X 12" high extensions on the ends, a 30' X 12" X 12" high for asparagus, and 2 beds 10' X 2' X 12" high for pepper and tomato plants.

We like the higher beds. No bending over or getting on the ground, and they warm up quicker in the spring.

The electric fence around the garden keeps away deer, cats, rabbits, groundhogs, racoons, etc.

If you or anyone is interested, I will take and post pictures.

Good afternoon all,  wife and I went out to Breakfast today.  Hashbrowns were awful but the rest of it was edible.  Had bacon and eggs with a waffle on the side.  They had some bisquits too but I don't know where they came from.  They sure weren't like what mama makes.

Went to funeral yesterday for fiend's mom followed by a reception.  We had a great lunch and I met an old conductor friend  from my railroad days.  He has been there for 47 years and does not want to retire yet.  Whatever floats your boat I guess.

Feel like hopalong Cassidy with this knee surgery I had.  I have a walker but I am not using it all the time.  We stopped to visit our friend who was in the hospital to fix infection on shoulder surgery.  She is home now and seems to be doing better.

I think the litlle kids next door have discovered my trains.  They want to see them now and I would like to show them as soon as I can get in the garage.  The kids are only 6 and 7 years old so they are a handful.

Did not attend train meet today but will go next month.

later,

Ray

Evening all!

Busy day. Went to local music festival for a while as son's HS drumline was playing. That was good. rest of festival was so-so. Then went to boat store to return a handheld GPS I bought last week. Unit (Garman) was on sale and then I get home and finds it needs over $180 of maps downloaded to make it useful. I only bought it because it was on sale and thought it would be a fun toy on the boat - but not for an additional $180. Also went to Lowes and retuned some parts from toilet rebuild that did not fit and I had to reuse some old parts. Doing some repair work on the boat and meant to get over to the storage shed this evening to work on it but I had a few items to finish on the lawn mowing job my son did today and then it got too late. Son did a very good job - I just forgot to tell him a few areas that needed special attention.

Watching NASCAR race and then some Mavericks vs Grizzlies Game 3 (they are 1 and 1).

Very warm today but nice breeze. 80's and 90's through next week. Summer is starting!

Have a great evening all!

Regards, Roy

Good evening all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 80s.  Today is one of those rare days you want to savor.  Neither Penske nor Ganassi are sitting on the pole for the Indy 500.  Alex Tagliani won it for Sam Schmidt Motorsports.  Ed Carpenter grabbed a top 9 spot, both of AJ's cars are solidly in the race, the Swiss Miss gutted it out to make the last of the 24 today, and only the "good" Andretti (John) qualified from that team.  Went to Bloomington to help younger daughter with stuff despite intestinal issues again and we did watch the Fast 9 session on Versus.  It was so sweet when Franchitti ran out of gas!!!!  (Where's Ashley?????   WHO CARES).  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Banks,

$179 is a steal.  I paid $250 on sale at BB, and normal list was at least $300.  As for the job, I'd be inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and adjusting equipment.  I am planning on going to Berlin in July if possible.  Toy Town is a must for me on the trip.
