Good evening all!

Ray (SPMan)- The back pains are more than annoying! I've had Sciatica twice in the past 20 years and I think I know what you're going through. Hopefully a Chiropractor can help you (if I may suggest). It did help me. I remember it took some time and with the help of some anti-inflamitories and pain meds I felt relief in a month or two. Good luck.

With all the noise at my inlaws last night, I learned today what I missed last night! A flubbed national anthem and some good/not so good commercials. I wish people would stop trying to interpret this song and leave it alone! SoapBox Maybe next year there will be a room for those not interested in the game. But being it isn't my place I kept quiet. Seeing the plays with the noise is ok but the rest requires silence. Unfortunately the only time it was quiet was for the half time show which we all felt was Thumbs Down! Sorry fifedog!

Huson#685 - A small box is heading your way in a day or two!! It's an older cousin to our project we'll be working on soon.

Hoping all is well,

Good evening all,

I ran trains tonight with the two boys for about 30 minutes - no pileups.  We would have run them longer but it was their bedtime.  After the kids went to sleep I watched most of Rocky on AMC.  I will always love that movie.

SP Ray/AF Ray - I agree, the National Anthem does not need to be jazzed up.  Just simply sing the words as they were written or have a great band, and it should fill everyone who hears it with pride and emotion.

Buckeye - I read about the train accident today.  It's supposed to burn for two days.

S.J. - The wife made French vanilla this past weekend.  I enjoyed a few scoops tonight.

Good night,

Joe

Cooling off to single digit temps today and tomorrow.  Was above freezing most of the weekend, reducing the depth of the snow by 6 or 8 inches.

Not to worry, we are supposed to get some replacement snow tomorrow.

Brutus - great news about Char.

Condolances on the loss of your friend, Chief.

Chief - us Yankees are not complaining about the snow, we are bragging about how much fun it is and how interesting it makes out lifes.  Kinda feel sorry for y'all in the south who can only read about the kind of snow we have.

All for now.

Jim thats great news about your wives bone marrow being 100% donor cells I am an oncologist and teach at the leukemia and lymphoma clinic at the University. So many people are cured today with marrow transplant. I know how rough transplants are, and all my prayers for your wive. Again CONGRADULATIONS. I AM STILL STRUGGLING WITH BUILDING MY CIVIL WAR PIKE AND learning DCS but it is great fun. Great game yesterday but I was rooting for Pitt, but there is always next year unless there is a strike. Best wishes  Glen Train Doc    ps Hope everybody has a great day tomorrow.

Good morning all,

It is colder in SE Indiana, but warmer in St. Louis with the good news about Char!!!!   Brutus, that is truly good news!   We all realize the struggle is not over, but progress like that is welcome any time.   We found a caregiver for dad to help out at night.  She starts tonight and both wife and I have a "warm, fuzzy" about her.  Work was extremely busy this week and I hope to put in five days this week.  I had bran muffins on the dining car this morning before sending it to "Points East".  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Ray, We will keep an eye out. Just to set the record straight, I had nothing to do with the power blackout and the closing of Newark Airport yesterday.

Everybody have a great day.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a cold 18 degrees. Only going up to 24 today with a chance of more snow. Got about  2 inches last night.

Today is a busy day. I have some chores to do and an errand to run later. Then, maybe, a nap.

Dining car is here with the usual breakfast.

Y'all have a great Tuesday.

Wow, forgot to post yesterday. Was so busy finishing the "project" and then working on lighting the gun safe, forgot to post.  Came home from Town Board and crashed.  Wifey is home rest too.  Her quote was, "You are use to over doing it and getting too tired.  I'm not."  Sunny and cooler.  Had some little showers late yesterday.  Might have some light flurries Wed. night and then into the 60's for days.

Aloha all. Arctic air has arrived. Flurries too. Ah well. Just part of the season. Hope the ole van fires up late tonight when I get off the train. Char Yes

The train is spectacularly ornamented with ice and snow these days: trucks, cabling, couplers, door diaphragms, roof, engine front. Too cold for the camera though.

Don, I'm on my way to your Super Bowl party. Which way am I heading again? Wink

Good morning all!

Sunny and cold today at 32 - headed to 50/54. Then ice and snow tonight starting at midnight supposedly. This snow event has gone from rain and flurries to a blizzard in just a couple of days according to the weather pundits. We'll see.

Brutus - Great news about Char! We will keep those prayers going!

Hope everyone has a great day today!

Good afternoon all,

After two days of almost Spring like weather, we actually had some rain last night (as in liquid precipitation), it is back to the deep freeze for the next week.  Hope everyone is doing well, it has been a while since I checked in here.

Have a great week.

Brutus......that was some great news on Char!!!!!!!!  We shouldn't go to Don's because he'll have us mowing his lawn and cleaning his swimming pool.  And in February, that just isn't right.

MikeC......was glad to hear you were able to find a caregiver for your Dad, and one you feel good about.

Chief.....if you are feeling neglected and out of the loop, we can always have some snow trucked down to you.  Where do you want it, home or at the lake house? Big Smile

LAZ......what is the legal drinking age for dogs in PA? Beer

The trucks hauling the Red sox gear to Florida left Fenway today.  Thumbs Up  But single digit temperatures return tomorrow.  Thumbs Down

Later, gang.

Jack about 4 years ago the wife said you get yourself achristmas present and I'll get what I want so from there I took free reins to buy my own birthday presents too. as she said we don't have no kids so its not like we have to do it for them and all. now christmas I let her wrap mine and I wrap hers ( and normally get her something else I know she will like and put a tag saying from the babies ( the cats.)

Good Evening from the Jersey Shore,

It started out when I left for work this morning at 5:15 at 42. It is supposed to be 14 tonight. No snow or any percipitation in the forecast for the next 10 days. Watch us get a blizzard.

RT, youre right, it stinks to be on train restrictions.

The fire feels great in the wood stove.

Prayers and Thoughts for all in need.

Good evening all, It's about 8 degree outside right now and the snow is blowing sideways again. Yes, the wonderful Oklahoma winds are causing the snow to blow sideways which will create some huge drifts. The schools have already cancelled for tomorrow and I do not have to report to work until noon. The only downside is the kids are a bit under the weather so I will have to play in the snow by myself tomorrow. Brutus - That is awesome news! I did not run any trains tonight, but hope to tomorrow if it's not too cold in the garage. Good night, Joe
