Evening to All,

I thought I'd share a link to a YouTube video my sister posted showing my nephew and his Dad setting up his train set.  He has definitely has been bitten by the train bug.  He is so cute and so excited. I love his enthusiasm and the sheer joy on his face.

Take care,

Mitch

Evening all.  No trains today. Crying As soon as I got away from Town Hall, I started getting up leaves.  Got Grady to do the climbing and gutter cleaning.  Then he blew the leaves out on the yard and drive.  The ole John Deere with bagging unit sucked them up and off to the garden they went.  Was real dry so it was dusty gelore!!!!  The good thing about dry is they mulch smaller and you get more in the bags. Thus, less trips to the garden.  Showered and got the mud out of my sinuses [Nettie Pot].  Now rest.  Long day tomorrow.  Lucy to groomers at 7 AM, 9 AM I'm off to Leland [Wilmington] to see a Super Street Intersection, 5 PM I'm at elementary school encouraging kids to read and finally a reception at Centery Link [local telephone co.].  Suppose to start raining and then some heavy stuff by midnight tomorrow.

Sleep tight.

Hello all,

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Haven't checked in since Wednesday. I think it was page 32. Now its 39. I'll try to catch up tomorrow.

Thanksgiving here was good. Much to be thankful for.

Got gutters cleaned and roof patched on Saturday. Spent today taking my rifle for a walk in the woods. saw on;y four deer and they were to far away to identify. The herd around here is slim. Lots of acorns remaining says to me there's not enough deer to eat them up.

Laz, hope you made out better than me.

Ran trains with the grandkids a couple of times. We watched them a couple of hours Saturdat evening while their folks went to a birthday party.

I'm off to bed. 5:00 AM will come too soon

Prayers for all that needthem

Fifey, Ashland VA is featured in movie on Lifetime Channel right now.  Recognized it right off when I saw the wooden crosswalks over the dual mainline tracks.  Sure enough, the depot came up next.

Rainy and 50's today.

Trip to the next city east to visit the knee specialist for my wife.  She got a shot of 'knee grease' in the knee that is bothering her.  We'll know in 2 to 3 weeks if the stuff is going to help.

Was hoping to stop at the LHS when we got back this afternoon.  Were too late though.

All for now.

Evening all

The train show was a big hit.  They estimated ~ 3000 peoplecame to it.  There was 18 layouts I think.  Two venders with over priced stuff.  Trains ran great even with one tumble to the the floor.  Nothing broke.  Gotta love that Flyer.

Never bought anyting but the crossing gate and Royal Blue came in.  Both in great shape and I don't need to do anything to either one.  There is another crossing gate on the bay that I am going to try for.

Hope you are all doing well and may God bless

Wet, rainy and cold = Saint Louis today.  Daughter said she was stuffed up and throat and ear hurt, so took off early and took her to the doc today.  She is fine, but got a prescription for her just in case it turns into an ear infection.  Doc said not to fill it until/if she starts having more symptoms.  I had a little temp yesterday and feeling sick all day - called and have an appointment with a new doctor tomorrow morning.  I won't go back to our old doctor since he was treating my wife for the wrong thing for 2 years and refused to see her for a "virus".  That's when we changed docs and found out how sick she really was.

In-laws drove over today and visited with my wife at the hospital.  First time for my father-in-law and he was obviously pretty upset.  But, she is doing a lot better and doctor said if she keeps improving at the current rate she will be home soon.  Sure hope so!

Nice chats with SJ and Charlie tonight.  Sorry we missed you, RT.  MIke - glad you are feeling better!  you can drive, lol!

Jim,

What crossing gate did you get?  It is always nice when you get something without needs.  I got a set of 490-492 NP PAs off the bay to put away for Christmas this past weekend.Big Smile  They look decent from the pics, and the price was reasonable.

Not much going on here.  Hopefully, I can get rolling on the Christmas layout soon, although that would require me to step away from Gran Turismo 5.  Two bottles of RFG's smoke fluid came in the mail today.  I love their smoke fluid.  Exactly like the original Gilbert fluid.  Still waiting on the 30B, but it is supposed to get here later this week.

Good morning everyone.  Heading in early as I have a big case this morning.  Have to take care of that, meet up with some sales rep and the purchasing dept.  Then, I get to head out for a hair cut...really need one, I am looking a bit shaggy these days.

Chief, all that yard work is not good for the sinuses.  You need to  take it easy and pay some young guy to take care of it....yeah, I know, you enjoy the work.  That is a great thing to go and encourage the children.  Kind of a funny thing, some of the folks who encouraged me to read and succeed were seemingly giants in politics and business....they are in jail now, but I digress.

Wife and I worked out at the gym yesterday for the first time in a while.   I am feeling it today.  Bit sore, but not too bad.  Need to keep it up and get back in shape.  With any luck, I will be able to make York this next year and Lord knows you need to be in shape to make it around all them tables!

Have a great day!
Dennis

Good morning all,

It is rainy in SE Indiana with temps dropping all day long.  Could be interesting tonight.  Day got better as it went along.  Will be busy day at work.  Not sure if I mentioned this before, but went to see "Burlesque" Friday night.  Good music, lots of dancing.  I wish I had more to report, but sometimes no news is good news.  I had bran muffins on the dining car for breakfast before sending it on to "Points East".  TBIL after "Glee", which I hope is better than last week's slug.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Great DVD! With that much enthusiasm, and he is young enough that he had to stand on a chair to operate the train, you know it will last a life time. If we all developed just one young person like that, our hobby will have a great future.

Aloha all. Grey and cold - typical day. Didn't make it down to the Shedd again on their free day yesterday at lunch. Might hike up to the Contemporary Art museum to see their weirdness.  Good news about Char's improvement, Brutus. I imagine it is very hard on her folks. Glad they're around though.  Am I the only one wondering what the Chief is watching on Lifetime - a channel much beloved by women of my acquaintence and loathed by their men Wink

Thanks CHIEF, WISH I could.

How's is that new NS GENSET?  Mine runs great!  The only thing Lionel nuts up on was they put the horse facing the wrong direction.

50 and drizzle.

We took advantage of the 50s and went shopping this morning. After today, 30s. Tomorrow starts a new month, I hope there's something on the letterhead besides grits and shrimp.  S.J.

Good Evening Guys!

I'm kinda whooped....went to bed at 10 then was up at 1130 PM to 0300 for a mutual aide call...and then we spent that time in the engine as they locked us out of the firehouse.  I had my bunker gear on, at least that and the engine were warm.

Spent the day setting up Christmas for a neighbor and that was a all day affair, but it came out kinda nice, so I'm happy and so is she.

OK, I'm gonna get to bed, I have a important interview at 11 AM so I have to be rested.

Check back soon!

Rich

Good afternoon all, cool weather continues here but a little warmer (70) tomorrow.  Kind of a slow day but I managed to run some trains this morning without any mishaps.  A friend of mine forwarded a video of our carpet central layout in action at Cal Stewart.  Sad thing was realizing how many trains were missing since last year because of a train theft from one of our guys.  Ran my MTH proto 1 ACL A-B-A F units sans electronics today with just a reverse unit and two motors.  It ran great, if I could just figure out how to get the headlight back on.  Got E mail today telling me that my recent purchase of a MTH Southern Railway PS4 steam engine is on the way.  Looking forward to that.  I don't have any green cars to run with it but will probably just run my scale GGD pullman cars behind her.  Just read today that ATSF 3751 steam engine will take part in the Railroad Fair or whatever they call it in Rock Island Illinois next year.  They will run a fan trip behind it each way plus some short trips at the show.  I'm glad to see that the class one railroads haven't completely banned steam engines so far.  Every time I think I have seen the last mainline steam trip, another one turns up.  I'm not complaining.

Good Evening From The Jersey Shore,

I have not had a chance to read and post lately. I have not had a chance to catch up on the all of the posts that I missed. I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I have been to a couple of local train shows lately. I scored a Lionel 6250, Seaboard NW2 Switcher for a great price with crisp lettering, excellent condition and runs great for a low price. I went to the Greenberg Show in Edison on Sunday. The biggst show that I can remember and it was pretty crowded. I bought a BEEP that I could not resist.

Rich, Good Luck with the interview tomorrow.

Thoughts and Prayers for Everyone in Need.

Good evening,

Winter is here, today we got a little rain along with the cold.  Rather nasty day out there.  I haven't hunted in a few years.  Son & DIL have 6 deer so far this season, 2 in PA and 4 in SC.  That is way more deer meat than I would want to eat.

Anybody heard anything from Don Baker lately?  Think I will give him a call.

Wow - freezing cold in Saint Louis all day, yuck!  Doc appt went okay, but need to lose weight and cut salt, etc.  Also changed my sinus meds a little.  I have to do labs still, didn't know they wanted fasting labs.  I'll do those Thursday morning I guess.  Sure hope there are no surprises.  I'm in training for a day tomorrow, so it should go fast.  Prayers for your interview, Rich!

TARDIS is ready so let's hit it!
