Good Morning from the Jersey Shore, 75, Sunny, 38% Humidity, Wind WNW 17 to 30 MPH.
The hurricane took an East turn and decreased in intensity. No major damage, some rain and wind with some coastal flooding. We were released last night from storm duty at work and it is time to enjoy the Holiday Weekend. Plans for today is to run and hook up the power for my daughter's new hot tub. Probably no boating or fishing this weekend because of the winds.
Green97Probe, Jim, My daughter has a 2005 Mustang GT Convertible, stick of course, and she loves it. She has not had any problems with it and she is quite satisfied. Whenever she wants to use my truck, I tell her that we have to switch vehicles and I want the Mustang GT. I drove it to work a few times and it gets 23-24 mph on the highway. I keep telling her that it is nice but not as nice or as fast (yeah right) as my 1965 that I have driven over 200,000 miles. I wont admit it to her, but her's rides and handles much better than mine. Good Luck.
Thoughts and Prayers for all in need.
Everyone have a great day.
John
Good Morning
54 when we woke this morning, 60s with sun for the day.
Granny Pat is house cleaning so I stay out of the way except when called to duty. This new site loads so slow I check the threads and leave. To bad I'd like to look it over but that hourglass gets boring. And I'm on cable not land line.
Happy 16 to fifepup, hope he has a great birthday...S.J.

Aloha all. A brisk 51 this am. The day is open-wide. I could do some projects .. . but they could also wait :) Nice chat with the boys last evening whilst watching old cartoons. Glad you got one of those things called 'dates', Fife. I had an 8 yr old along on ours :) Happy birthday to the Pup.

Good morning all. Beautiful day today, but will likely get too hot before long. I have a list to get to so will make this short. Wife is at the mall with daughter as her birthday is on tuesday...I wonder how much this is going to run?
Glad to hear the storm only brought a little water to Jack's garden. We can use some, but I hope to get the grass cut before hand.

Good afternoon all,
IIABSDISEI with temps in the 70s. Reffed an ugly game this morning. "Special" Ed Carpenter is on pole for IRL race. Vitor is 12th. Princess 17th, Swiss Miss is 19th and Sarah 21st. Graham is 25th behind Milka(!) Go figure. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,

green97probe Ray, I have one of those color position signals, and it hasn't given me any trouble. I never thought that LEDs could burn out like that. What voltage are you giving them? Jack, Don't give me any ideas. I was going to go look at it after I got home today, but it started to rain. Here is a pic just to give you an idea where the alternator is. Follow the coolant line on the left and the alternator is to the right...somewhere. LOL GM actually got this one thing right on the Sunfire and put it right on top. Unfortunately, Mazda didn't do that when the KL was designed. http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9d730b3127ccef843c88f041e00000040O00FZNmzZu0Yg9vPh4/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/ Jim, re the color signals, I think it is a circuit board problem. Before the green aspect went out, it would blink on and off. Looked like it had a problem then. finally they just quit completely.. They aren't super expensive but they should last longer than a light bulb. I have been using track voltage which can be as high as 18-20 volts sometimes. I have some MTH signals on canterlever signal bridges that are holding up very well. I've had them wired to the same tracks for years. Ray

Well Earl turned out to be a rainy night. There is more wind this afternoon than last night. We never closed at work and trucks rolled all night. I took the family apple picking this morning and I think this is the earliest in the season we have ever gone.Trees are loaded and good prices also.If Greenprobe gets his mustang does this mean Fife will get his radar gun calibrated? Glad to hear everyone made it through the storm ok and hope Chief has smooth sailing.
Hello all,
This is my first time on the new website so might have some glitches. Fife probably thinks I dropped off the face of the earth on the way home from the Mid Atlantic Symposium, but I came home to get ready for and take part in the Elizabethtown Community Fair. The past week was spent recuperating from that event. Things are pretty well back to normal now. The grandkids did well in the animal competitions.
Now got to rest up for York.
Hope everyone has a great Labor Day Weekend.
Fife,
Never!
John,
If someone let me borrow a Mustang GT, they'd probably have to kill me to get their keys back. Convertibles are nice, but I have my heart set on a GT Premium Coupe with a 5 speed in either Redfire Metallic or Vista Blue if I go after an 05-09 or either Red Candy Metallic or Kona Blue if it is a 2010+. I love the sound of the 4.6 V8.
Did you get the defective signals at the same time? I am wondering if there was a bad run.

Afternoon All.
Good run at the museum yesterday. Most of the time the MTH 4-6-0's were running on the folded figure 8 line, putting out lots of smoke. Only had to use the "E-Stop" once when I was distracted and one hadn't cleared yet when the other approached, close but no cigar.
Glad to see Earl didn't make a big mess of everything. Just hope that folks don't ignore the warnings the next time around.
Miserable hot here today, just now dipping below triple digits. Got a fire going out in the east county around Campo. A signal fire started by a couple of lost illegals got out of control, the less than funny part is they reported it to Mexico Emergency Services from their "cellphones". Whatya think, drug smugglers ???????
Time to go get something cold, later.

Good Evening
Well it might be 60, but it was like a fall day here. Sun clouds and windy. Warmer tomorrow in the 70s. I did my duty, granny cleaned and I help when called. lol. Football today and the thingy tonite. Banilla is ready...S.J.
Jack! You were there, don't you remember? I told you to stay out of Chief's private Shine supply! [:))]
Well, I got some work done around the house today. I need cable to move our modem out of the bedroom. I had to replace two of the metal studs in the bathroom with wood so I can put in a shelf unit in some otherwise dead space next to the shower. That took 3 hours, since there was no easy way to connect to the existing wall, but I got it done. Ready for drywall on that wall though. I mowed the lawn including down in the trees. For dinner, we got burgers and waffle fries with gringo sauce from Area 51 or whatever that restaurant is called. I think it's the 54 St Grill? So, tomorrow, I'm helping two buddies put up a fan, then need to buy cable and a couple other things for the rest of the project. Need to drop by and visit my folks as my Aunt is visiting. Then I'll grill out dinner. Monday I hope to get the modem moved and drywall done on that wall in the bathroom. Then we're going to my sister's for a family cookout.
Woops - almost forgot! Launch TARDIS!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
hello guys, john i bet your 65 dug in better also. what does it have a 289? pat, gigi says she will send you guys some more cookies soon. as the weather gets cooler, she will be able to bake. hope to win some more trains on ebay. we will see. navyjack
p.s. been drinking plenty of sweet iced tea
Mornin' boys. Sunny & 61 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Hope to go sailing today.
Fifepup received 2 tickets to the RAVENS home opener, an autographed Joe Flacco football, and Madden 11. Not too shabby, but I got the huge impression he was expecting something bigger and spectacular. This is the problem with too much reality tv, with shows like My Super Sweet 16. Oh well. Too his credit, he still thanked me and gave me a big hug.
Stay foamy.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a clear 58 degrees. Cooler. Going up to a sunny 80 today.
Today is an easy day. I plan on spending some time in the train room this afternoon. Then, the Nascar race tonite. Good race yesterday.
Dining car is here for the usual breakfast.
Y'all have a great Sunday.
Chuck
Morning all. About to get ready for church. Regular church this morning at the worship center, but tonight we will be at the sports park for an outdoor celebration. The weather seems to be cooperating in that it has cooled off nicely. Hope to get some more of that wall done that I have been working on for the layout.

Chief, it seems Chuck is either trying to become Southern, or he is working on his language to infiltrate with a raid of sorts....look out!

46 when we awoke this morning, 70s for the day.
Fife it is my humble opinion that once kids reach their teens , we are the ones that should get thank you gifts on their birthdays. Of course that idea will never catch on. No plans for the day and no word from the kids about tomorrow so Brats at the ready if the phone don't ring. Enjoy the weekend...S.J.
Sir James - Agreed. I actually suggested back when we started our family, that the birthday boy/girl buy presents for everyone else in the house; think of it - receiving a present 5 times a year. It didn't fly.
Aloha all. Sunny but 48. Nice and brisk. Bride volunteered us to watch a host of kids today whose parents are going to a wedding. Maybe we'll organize football teams after church and get 'em nice and muddy. Awesome gifts for the Fife pup would be awesome-r if you changed the team to the Bears. I hear you about teen expectations. Fortunately, I continue to fulfill my fatherly obligation to disappoint them in some life things.

Doesn't everyone say "y'all"?
Great day for smoking (turkey that is). Put the turkey in Jon's brine last night, will smoke today.
Fife - Sail by late afternoon for some great smoked turkey!

Good Morning From NJTP Exit 8....
A wee bit chilly, but I havent shut the windows from Saturday. Earl was nothing but a little wind. Fortunately we all escaped this storm.
Interview on Thursday was good, I was at the Raritan Center for ARAMARK. They should let me know this week. Have another interview Tuesday at 11 for a Chevy (ugh) dealer. But, hey, it's a job. Can't stand those Camaros though.
Happy Birthday to the Fifepup.
Did a little B&E on a business yesterday morning for a strong odor of gasoline. Grabbed my Halligan pryed up on the lock and a little K-Tool action later, lock was history. Gotta love it, actually looked like I knew what I was doing....
Watching the BIG GO in Indy (sorry Mike..) where the cars are 100+ MPH faster than those "Indy" cars ...I prefer Pro Stock and Super Stock just to clarify that a bit.
Probe - I'll take mine with a 302, drop top & 5 speed in B L A C K, thanks, only since there are no Challenger converts....yet.
Mom & Dad have left for NC, so I'm alone for 10 days....WHOO HOO LET'S PARTY!! --- Oh, sorry, I forgot, I'm not in college anymore...pass the Geritol.
Still sick on top of that. More hot tea and honey....COFFEE FIRST!!!
OK have a good Sunday boys....I'll check back later

Fifepup is so deprived! MustangJimmyT is my choice of monikers. Rich.....prayers that this lands you where you want to be. SirJames.....I'm old, having trouble with my electron microscope as even it can't read your posts. Brutus......hic!!! I can't remember much from that evening and the jug was empty, the dog must have drank it. DougM.....I'm with you and SirJames on this one.....it's time for my "kids" to realize this is a two way street and charity begins at home, my home.
Later, gang.
Jack.
IF IT WON'T COME LOOSE BY TAPPING ON IT, DON'T TRY TO FORCE IT. USE A BIGGER HAMMER.
Beautiful COOL weather here ... unbelievable ! Windows wide open ... fresh cool country air ... almost chilly in the evening ... hope it stays this way . Packing for the excursion ... have to remember my decaff coffee ... and laptop ... youall have a great week .... yea we use that in Maryland ... GOD LOVE DIXIE !!! Especially the southern belles !!!!
Oh the difference a day makes. It is 20* cooler today than it was yesterday at this time. Hopefully it will stay like this all day !
Started rummaging thru some of the halloween bits-n-pices formulating some ideas. Any of you ever used "ModgePodge"(sp) for making small ponds, etc. Was wondering what would happen if it were thinned out and tinted a bit or just rely on painting the pond bottom ?
Gotto go refill the mug !
Back later.

Nice cool day here in Northern Michigan. I went out to the property this morning and sighted in my new crossbow. Tenpoint Turbo XLT.
At first I was against the new crossbow law.. until I realized I could shoot 50 yards instead of 30.
No snags on the sight in.. got her dialed right in.

72 was it for the day, a big change from what we have had.
RI you sure you mean my post as I use a larger type so the chief can read it. Without that SE wind blowin we have been on page 8 all day. Banilla is ready and the beacon is turning so come on by.

Well, I've gotten the youngest visitors interested in the trains. . . of course, they love running them fast. I'm glad to trust my youngest to run them (I trot down to handle any derailments). It's sure neat hearing the whistles and 'playing' wafting up from the basement.
