After several tries and erroring out and having to reload the site.  Also, ignore their instructions on adding an image to your post.  Will not work.  Do the old copy and paste.

What else is wrong?????  I'm sure they will get the "bugs" out.  Good night.

Woo Hoo!  Page 1!

Sunny, muggy with thunderstorms here today.  Same for tomorrow.

Got my #219 MoPac Alco up ane running.  It now has a 3 position e-unit.  Runs a little rough in reverse though.  Either have one too many thrust washers, or, more likely, the worn brushes are the problem.  Going to order new brushes.

Got one of my beater #225 C&O Alcos torn down, cleaned & lubricated. The 2 position e-unit is now gone and one of the field windings has been reconnecetd for use with a 3 way e-unit.  Next step is to connect it to the #219 with clip leads to get the 3 way e-unit connections correct.  Then I can make a tether to go between the two.

Think I'll repaint the shells to match the paint on my MoPac BL2.

I'll get the A units working together, then start working on the B unit - still need a to get B unit shell though. Need to find some small plugs and jacks for the tethers too.

All for now.

Good morning all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 90s, but it was an ugly soccer game last night.  Boys did win 6-4, but the officiating was absolutely horrible.  Talked to the Athletic Director about what was needed to referree and he told me, and in the next breath he said he would not hire anybody local so I figured why waste my time.  Great news!  Graham Rahal will be driving Sarah's second car at Kentucky.  Good move for both parties.  Another car-driver combo for the good guys (anybody but "Team Red").  Needed to hear good news as third car pool person bailed on me as far as driving today at 9:30  last night.  I had bran muffins on the dining car for breakfast before sending it on to "Points East".  TBIL anytime and I can drive.  Did do free weights at YMCA.  I hope everyone has a good day.  BTW, "ol' granddad" not as dumb as he looks.  Ever since newest granddaughter was born, I had been concerned about her breathing.  At four week check up, they called in a specialist to review her situation.  She does have a mild issue that they will monitor, nothing serious, but at least maybe somebody will listen to me every once in a while.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

It is a clear 68 degrees. Going up to 92 today with sunshine. Gonna be hot.

Today is busy. I have a couple of errands to run and then, PT this afternoon. I need to do some serious walking. Legs are stiff.  Otherwise, I am feeling pretty good.

Dining car has rolled in from"Points West". I am having the usual Cheerios for breakfast.

Morning all.  RT, I did that three times last night.  Did not work.  Also, if you editied, it would error out and you had to reload the site.  Now when you reloaded, changes were made.  I see the "slime balls" have been through and played with the "stars".

Got a luncheon meeting and then mow.   May go to the lake house later [diffenately tomorrow].

Later

PS: I like the see who is on line feature.  Now we can see the lurkers and talk about them.  Get them really wound up and make them post. Devil [just joking Bob, saw his heart rate go up]

Looking over the new "look".  Kind of like breaking in a new pair of shoes.  Still have not caught up on posts!  Still catching up with stuff around the house and cleaning up the camping supplies.

May God bless

Good Afternoon Ya'll From Sunny, hot, and humid Cape Ann Taxachusetts,

Day #3 of 90 degree + temperatures with tomorrow forecast the same.  If it will make anyone feel any better, today marks 24 days this Summer we have topped 90 in my neck of the woods.  The hurricane is making its way up the coast, so I hope the "HOT AIR" in North Carolina blows it all out to sea.  Usually we just catch the edge and get tropical storm warnings, but the weather computer models still have us listed as "possible but not probable."

Ocean swells at 7 feet right now.  Riptides are particularly bad and rescue personnel have been.....well, rescuing their brains out.  "Stay out of the water" decisions for the riptides have been left to each town's discretion.  Great white shark sightings and hits on seals close to the shoreline continue here, especially off Cape Cod and the Islands......within 20 feet of the water's edge in some instances.  The waters are warm for these parts (low 70s) and the seals are making for a shark feeding frenzy and some gruesome news video.  Many end-of-Summer/Labor Day vacationers are pulling out early and going home before the weekend and the storms hit.

I can't figure out why so many of you are getting all of these unwanted email notices on CTT Forum threads and posts.  Mine were turned off for some time before the maintenance and I'm not getting any......yet.  So I think I will lay low and leave well enough alone for the time being.

If I had half a brain I would have had my car washed when I got to my Vermont camping destination a couple of weeks ago and then again as soon as I got home.  Sure, I had the front fascia clean as a whistle and waxed before we embarked.  But up and back, about a zillion bugs seemed to have committed suicide by getting impaled on the front end of my car and are now proving to be very difficult to remove without a lot of soaking, rubbing, and effort.  Tried bug and tar remover.  Now using hyprogen peroxide.  May try vegetable oil next.  Don't want to use anything too harsh for fear of damaging the front fascia paint.

Later, gang!

Jack.

IF IT WON'T COME LOOSE BY TAPPING ON IT, DON'T TRY TO FORCE IT. USE A BIGGER HAMMER.

Morning/afternoon all!

Hot here and a bit muggy. Maybe some T-Storms later. Can always use rain.

I am not having any problem with e-mails from posts. Just to be sure I turned it off again, but as I stated yesterday - the button is backwards. To me it is green when it is turned off and red when it is turned on which is silly. One has to read the button 5 times (OK 19 for the Chief) to understand this. Just silly. As I said yesterday - a simple "on" or "off" is all that is needed.

Hope everyone is having a great day today!

Regards, Roy

Good morning all, I got bombed with a lot of E mails from the forum this morning.  Info says go to URL and remove request for E mail or something like that if you don't  want to get them.  Deleted on one post I saw but don't know if this takes care of it all the time or not.  I don't mind getting E mail addressed to me but don't need to see what someone else's E mail to another person says.  Sounds like it is none of my business.

Roy, if you turn it off in your profile, you do not get the email notification "block" at the bottom of your reply.  That way you do not have to worry about unchecking the block.  If you lock it, no one can quote you.
