Mornin' Fellas.Gotta make this quick.Been very busy at work. We FINALLY deployed the project I have been working on for 2 years and now we are making changes. My part has been done for over a year, we were waiting on 3rd party vendors. Last Thursday I had the final inspection on the screened porch/sun room. PASSED! Now waiting on furniture. Also picked up my CPAP machine last Thursday. That is NOT going well. I was fine Thursday night, but have not made it through a full night with it since. My nose feels like mush. Also had our first games of the Fall softball league last Thursday. 88 went 2 for 3, 2 singles, 1 KO, 1 Sac Fly. Not too bad for a guy with a beat up arm. Stopped down at the LTS on Saturday to shoot some bull with the fellas and check on my children. Crane car was restrung and the Allegheny is finally moving! The smoke unit appears to be bad as it keeps shorting out the controller board. Also the pickup rollers are VERY worn, the guy I bought if from 3 years ago lied up a storm on this one. If I still had his email address he would be getting a rather nasty email. But it should be done this weekend.Ran a new circuit for the home security system on Saturday. That was easy. Now just have to zip-tie the wire to an existing cluster, cut it to length, and hook it up in the panel. Will take all of 30 minutes to finish it.Lee - prayers for you on your situation.
chief, i just wanted you know, that we who are retired from the military pay taxes also, so we in a way contribute to your retirement also. you are more than welcome. still under the weather. navyjack

Good evening everyone. Long day. Not too bad, just long as one of the cases lasted 9 hours. Was glad to make it home in time to see the kids before bed. That is one of the most important things to me. I could make more money working long hours elsewhere, but here we have a great family oriented situation. Most of us have young kids and want to get done to get home.
Bob, thanks, I would like to check out some more photos. Not sure if I have any of my old photos around. That definitely is a C-series Mack engine though. Also, glad you are back on the scope dealing with the work issues.
Brent, the CPAP does take some getting used to. I prefer the mask that only goes over the nose. Even with that, it takes some adjustments. The place you got it from should be able to help with trying different mask types and sizes. Also, for most of the year, I can leave the vaporizer on "0" and it still will moisten the air just enough. If you turn in higher than that, it makes things too wet. In the winter, I may go up to "1", but that is the most needed. If you don't have a good seal on the mask, it will blow in your eyes and make them dry. I only sleep between 4-6 hours a night anyway, but the mask does help. At least it keeps me quiet so my wife can get some sleep.
Chief, I have been doing my best to store up some money in the Social Security lock-box. As originally instituted, it was not to exceed 1% of gross salary, was not to ever be used for anything else besides the guaranteed retirement assistance, and several other things that have long since gone to the waste side. Politicians from both parties have certainly messed that all up! I think you are covered, but from what I am told, I should not count on getting anything for myself. Of course, by that time they will make minimum retirement 85 years old.
We are getting ready to head to Kennedy Space Center in the not too distant future. I hope this will be a great experience for the kids. We also have scheduled "lunch with an astronaut." That should be fun. From what I have read, it is quite an experience to jump start the kids into science. If anyone has been there, I'd like to hear what you have to say and take any suggestions. If not, I will have to post photos when I get back and then I can answer questions... maybe?
God Bless,dennis

Evening all!
Busy weekend. Went by fast and I did not get the lawn mowed so gotta find an evening this week to attack it. Taking the train room down so the existing TV room can move to the train room. Rent at wife's office has just gotten ridiculously high and it is not going down due to all the property flipping of the last 10 years. So we are moving her office to the house, so the present TV room will become the office. The good news is when the kids are gone in a couple of years the TV room will revert back to a train room. We will store the layout in the shed where we keep the boat. Will build some shelves over the rear of the boat for all the old files, the train layout, and some extra furniture from her present office.
At least some fun exists in the train room dismantle. I am dusting off each item and testing all the locos so I am running some items that have not been on the track in 2-4 years. The good news about storing many of the train boxes for the new stuff is the item returns to the box and is not taking up any more space in the closet. Wish that were true for all the stuff in the train room.
Brent - congrats on the successful porch inspection! Talkin' about blood, sweat, and tears!
Hope all are well. Good to see Navyjack is on the mend. Prayers for Lee.
Regards, Roy
Good evening all,
It was a nice day today and we even had a quick thunderstorm. The wife made some tasty BBQ pork tonight for dinner. It's been a pretty quiet evening of watching football so far; two games to watch tonight. Still waiting for eBay to finish the case I have open on the person who did not send me the item I paid for. Should have been resolved by today.
Dennis - I stopped counting SS in my retirement planning years ago, and I am only 35 now.
Good night,
Joe
Nice day out in Saint Louis today. Wife's hemoglobin was up to 10.8 today and doc wants to see her again in 2 weeks, then should be released back to part-time work on 10/1. Thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts, guys - God has really seen us through this
I went to the Saint Louis Bread Company with my sister for lunch and had a mozarella and sun dried tomato sandwich - out of this world! Nice chats with RT, SJ and Charlie tonight.
Tardis is ready and Mike can drive, because I've been nodding off all day!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Sunny and low 80's today.
Busy weekend. The 1 1/4" hex. tile came in this weekend for the bathroom floor. Spent the weekend dry laying the tile, figuring out the accent pattern, cutting the accent tile in, then finally sticking them down. Still got grouting to do, though. Oh, the new wet saw works really well - even still have all of my fingers.
All for now.
Good morning all,
It is partly cloudy in SE Indiana with a chance of rain possible. Game tonight and I will probably be in goal for a while. I did weights at the YMCA and checked out the new Aaron's in town. Kind of pricey. Work was quiet yesterday, but will be busy today. I had the regular fare on the dining car for breakfast. TBIL after the game. The work Jim did on the Tardis really helped the performance. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a cloudy 65 degrees. Sun is coming up later every morning. Going up to 78 today with sunshine.
Today is a busy day. I have a project to work on and the usual chores around the house. This afternoon, I plan on relaxing with a book to read.
Dining car has arrived and it's the usual for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Tuesday.
Chuck
Mornin' boys. Sunny and 59 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Sunnier due to the RAVENS victory over the j-e-t-s last night. Fifepup missed the first half due to his first night of driving school . I personally believe that my 8 ft tall inflatable football player, and the purple flamingos, helped push my team to success.
Primary election day. Primary is a good word for it, because some of our candidates have been a bit infantile. Very important state's attorney race in Baltimore. Let's see if the citizens have had enough of being in a war zone.
Brutus - Great news (again) on the Mrs.
Gee, I wonder is SS was set up to support habitual drunks, pill-poppers, and heroin addicts...? That's what I deal with on a daily basis.
OH, and have a nice day.
Aloha all. Campus class begins tonight - I've been running the online ones for a week now. Met our new exec. pastor last night. I had interviewed everyone but him. His family just moved in, his bride just delivered twins. He looked shell-shocked. Good thing he's young. . Defense seems to ruling the NFL in week one.

Egg and bacon sandwich this morning, not hungry. No special plans for the day so I'll just wing it.....S.J.
Good Morning,
Got a little rain a few minutes ago, otherwise hot (near 90)& steamy today.
Has anybody else noticed that Bachmann has changed the look of their website? I went to look for Williams by Bachmann and the site is very differant, no longer need to click on the country.
Checked on insurance yesterday and I may be able to save a few dollars, the agent lowered my coverage due to house value-deflation.

Today's high is somewhere in the low-80s. It feels pretty nice out there right now. Our 7y/o son and infant son both have doctor appointments today; nothing critical, just check-ups. We're anxious to see how much the baby weighs now since he appears to be packing on the weight.
I should have a pretty busy day here at the office. I need to review some reports and prepare a briefing for a leadership conference I will attend next week.
Fife - Isn't Ray Lewis one of those SS abusers you run into every day?
I hope everyone has a great day.
Regards,
Demay - No, but I reckon #52 has put a few guys on disability....
Ray - No trains for 4 Yrs.? I'd rather go to jail!
Fifedog - Any predictions on the Chase outcome?
Brutus - TBIL and I will bring the Ear Muffs. Sorry guys, private joke.
Pat
RFD-TV --- Rural America's most important network!
Sorry, should have been Roy.
Fife - He is one of the best LBs in recent history and can hit like no other, but I do recall him almost going to jail not so long ago for an off-the-field incident
Joe.
Sorry guys have not been on in over a week.Things have been crazy in my little world and was having some computer problems. When I would try to look at the pot my computer would freeze up.Hope all is well.
Hey the coffees cold, ok I'll make a fresh pot. Still no banilla I'll get some tomorrow. Beacon is on so come on by with the thingy.
S.J.
Have been over on the thingy .... no one home ....
Evening all
Sounds like everyone is holding their own. The house we're fixing up is going to be appraised Wednesday then we will try and sell it. I will be happy to break even on it. I do not want to rent it but will if I need to. We've had several calls already. We'll see.
Good night and may God bless
Jim
Jim,
Our Delaware Home (just north of Columbus) was rented out to our old childcare provider. In one year before they skipped town, they managed to do a lot of damage to the house. It required a complete repaint of the interior, including a full basement. I have been spending a lot of time fixing it up. I know I can't sell it for what I built it for 10 years ago. After a realtor, it's a loss. I'm hoping to get a better set of renters to hold me off. It's a gamble I guess.
Wes
T-Storms just rolled through and we got a nice shower from it. Mid-90's for next week. Nice weekend in store. Hope so as I am taking the boy scouts out on the boat for a water sports (skiiing and wakeboarding) merit badge event Sat.
Wes, Sturg - rental houses - ugh - we have a house in Dallas that we have been renting for 20+ years. It breaks even. It is in an area where property values do not ever rise even though it is a nice neighborhood. Houses are small though and were built in late 40's early 50s - so they are just boxes. No garage - just a single car carport. Thought about turning the carport into a garage but there is no return on the investment to be had. It is an prime example of how real estate is really doing here.
Pat - son is junior in HS so it is only for about 2 years (hopefully). I will use the time to plan a new layout. The present one is 15+ years old.
Hope all are well. Have a great evening what's left of it!
fifedog Gee, I wonder is SS was set up to support habitual drunks, pill-poppers, and heroin addicts...? That's what I deal with on a daily basis.
anddddd....their benefits will probably be better than yours......
I took our 9y/o daughter out for a father/daughter dinner date after she finished her ballet class. Of all the places she could have picked, she chose a Chinese buffet. She smart enough not to overeat like most people do at a buffet (me included) so I just cannot figure out why she likes it so much. Oh well, I suppose it will be even more difficult to figure her out when she gets to the teenage years.
After dinner, I put the kids to bed and spent the remainder of my time preparing for a Bible study I begin leading tomorrow night.
No ice cream tonight fellas, I need to get to bed.
Good evening everyone. Joe, you are right about SS. I think Fife is onto something. Perhaps if they made congress face the same rules/insurance, etc. the rest have to and if recipients of OPM (Other People's Money) had to have drug screens, then things would seem a bit better....oh well.
Brutus, great news on Char. Hope progress continues with as few bumps in the road as possible. You are right to notice where this all comes from. I have seen too many good people with excellent care not do well and it can only be answered by a higher authority. Of course, I have also seen some folks who should not have lived through some of the events that have happened and they too do well.
It is way past my bed time, so I will call it a night.God Bless,Dennis
IIASBSDISEI with temps in the 80s. Not a good night on the soccer field last night. "My" soccer girls got pounded 6-0 in both varsity and JV, and my team lost 8-0. Unlike last week's game, we were out of it as soon as the ball was kicked. The other team just had too many weapons, and we were on our heels the entire game. I was not goalie at all and did have some good touches, but I was also badly beaten defensively several times. I had the regular fare on the dining car for breakfast before sending it off to "Points East". TBIL anytime and I can drive again. I hope everyone has a good day.
