Hi GUYZ,

38 here already, going to hit 53?  Oh well going to finish demolition today on back porch.  Gotta dismantle brick this afternoon, then done.  Contractor may be starting this week?  Probably behind on the count of weather?  His sub contractor who does excavation is probably a few weeks behind too?  We'll see?

  Stay frosty,

Smilethe power of prayer......

i want to thank all you guys for the prayers for my wife.  she feels better this morning and is going to church.  she had a good nights sleep and was not bothered by any problems.  i will try to keep it that way.  i guess the navy career and all the moves and worry got to her.  military wives get half their husbands retirement if they divorce.  now i know why.  they put up with much of the same b.s. that we do.  lets all pray for a healing of our country.  there are so many nice innocent people here.  your friend navyjack

Good Morning,

Beautiful day down the Jeresey Shore. Today's agenda is to service the family's fleet and then off to dinner for my wife's birthday. The day spa gift was a sucess. The only thing is that my daughter "suggested" that it will be better if my wife went with someone and she volunteered. They are going to pick the program that they want. There goes yesterday's OT.

Navy Jack it is great to hear about your wife. I remembered her along with others during this morning's prayers at Church.

Pat, I guess that you and the Chief are not satisfied with the Snow Cannon results. Your new contraption really knows how to throw the BS.

Yum - good coffee this morning!  Spent the day running yesterday, took son out with his girlfriend, another friend, and my daughter to lunch at Culvers, then to see the new Alice movie, which we all really liked a lot.  We did not see it in 3D as that has made me and my daughter sick in the past.  I then took them out for icecream.  Came home and took a nap - was awakened by my son telling me he wanted me to take them all out to dinner at a local pizza place.  Uh, no - Dad's tired out.  I guess I'll have to take them out tonight somewhere.  Not sure why?  Oh, right - wife says so Banged Head

Char continues well.  Prayers for JimSP, Lucas, Navy's wife, Chief's family, Spanky, and the rest (sorry, too much to remember, but I say a little prayer when I read each one).

I'm thinking about building up an area on the back hill with a little stone wall and planting some tomatoes this year.  I have time right now and can't work in the basement.  Need to get out soon with some poison and start killing all these gophers that are sneaking into my yard.  Local places are selling repellant, but I think that's what my neighbors are all using!  Fine, leave it to me to do your dirty work - and that's all she wrote.

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

DON .... that's fantastic about Chris ! WOW what a one chance in a lifetime experience . You surely do have a reason to brag . When you go around wearing that shirt and hat the tourists will think you're a movie star and take your pic .  Cool  That rework on your layout was surely major to say the least .... bet it's going to look great .

LAZ ... I think you may feel the spice a little later also .... seems it reminds one later too in it's exit stage left  .... Whistling

Chief ... man I miss the farm and plowing ... the smell of the fresh earth turned over by the plow ... most think it's work but I loved it . Thumbs Up  if I lived closer you'd have a volunteer to do it ... used to from day break until dark in the spring and then again in the fall  . Not counting the disking - cultivating - planters - and and combine ... wow ... forgot how many hours a year I put on the seat of a tractor back then .

Brutus .... don't end up like the guy in Caddy Shack ... LOL .

Good afternoon everyone!  Chief, just checked...hope things still go and you get it at a low price.  Don, hope things continue to go well for Chris.  Have a friend who's daughter went to the Academy Awards because she is an actress.  That was such a highlight for her, and I am sure it will be for Chris too.

Went to church this morning alone as daughter was sick and wife stayed home with the kids to watch the fort.  Church was great as we had the president of the International Mission Board as a speaker.  It is great to hear of the missions around the world and all the great work that they do.

Been trying to work with wife to come up with a date for visiting Orlando.  Have a vacation we need to take in the next few months, so it is time to book.  May have to go either for Spring Break, or after the kids are out of school in the end of May.
Check back later...time for a nap and then back to church.
God Bless,
Dennis

Don, Happy for Chris, once in a lifetime event for him.

Sounds like a major rework of your layout.  Hope it accomplishes what you are looking for.

Hi guys

49 and sunny today.

The train show was full but as big as it was, same guys same stuff, and same high prices. My admission was all I spent. Then about an hour at the train store. The store has a copy of the 2010 Williams by B catalog, not impressed, for the most part they have just bumped up the prices a bit. I have banilla and will share with all on board the thingy tonite....S.J.

Back from the lake.

After shoveling the snow off the front lawn, I mowed the grass.

After shoveling the snow from the garden, I planted the tomatoes.

The 4x4 didn't have any trouble getting through the 12" of snow in the drive.

Good evening all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 50s.  Took it easy today.  Got my ears lowered by the saucy wench.  Did some building with LEGOs while watching end of taxicab race.  Real racing starts next week with F-1 (no US F1 team) and the IRL.  I had cinnamon rolls on the dining car for breakfast after it rolled (so to speak) in from "Points East".  TBIL anytime tonight.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Evening all

It has been busy today.  Sorry for not getting the SPF started, I had too many things to do before Church this morning.

It was really a beautiful day.  Had lots of fun with the kids, got some outside work done and stayed out of trouble.

Navyjack – The prayers will continue

Jim F – For Char too

May God bless

Hello all,

Stopped in mainly to check up on Navyjack's Mrs. Glad to see she's doing better. Prayers will continue.

Had a lazy weekend. Got a little bit of stuff done. I just had no ambition to get moving.  Maybe I'm fighting a bug.

Grand kids are improving but the daughter has it pretty bad now.

870 was the official count at the buffet Friday evening

Nite all, I'm off to bed

Prayers for all who may need them

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a sunny 21 degrees. Cold. Going up to 54 today with lots of sunshine.

Today is a busy day. I have chores to do this morning and PT this afternoon. Legs are a little achy, but they will loosen up later.

Looks like gas prices will rise. It must be bonus time.

Got our Census papers. They threw it on the back porch in a plastic bag. Dog went out and lifted his leg on it. Hope the sun dries it out.

Dining car is here and it's Cheerios for breakfast.

Y'all have a great Monday.

Good morning all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 50s.  Finished the LEGO building last night except for the "landscaping".  Drove the truck to work for the first time in quite a while.  Wife stayed up and watched the Oscars last night.  The opening act was a bit weak.  Saturday night we watched a movie for all the roller derby fans (yes, you know who you are), "Whip It".  It had the lady who was in "Juno" as the lead.  It is a riot.  I have not laughed so hard in a long, long time.  I had bran muffins on the dining car for breakfast before sending it on to "Points East".  Do you think Carl Edwards and Brad Keselowski will exchange Christmas cards?  TBIL anytime and I can drive.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Morning all.  Had a good night at church and then we went out for Mexican food.  I only ate rice and beans as that is all they had that fits the diet menu.  Bride reminded me that it ends on Thursday, so we are planning on going out for Steak on Friday.  After three weeks of no meat or fish, I can really use some protein.  You can eat nuts on this plan, but it is not the same.

Chuck...BAD DOG!  Tell him to wait until it is all filled out and then pee on it!

Chief, have fun at the shooting range.  I can shoot the 22s around here, but nothing larger as neighbors are too close for that.  Not too long ago, it wasn't this way, but with all the woods being cut for more houses, not enough barrier.  We have a farm nearby I can go to, but just have to make the effort.

I am on call this week, so hopefully will not get beat up too much.  One of the guys who was stuck in Chile during the earthquake finally made it home this weekend.  That should ease the workload a bit.
God Bless,
Dennis

Morning all.  Sunny and real warm.  Friend Fred and I are off to the pond to put lime in [650 lbs] and then work on extending shooting range.  Since it is surrounded with town, we get a few complaints but is well within the legal shooting limits of NC.  The Police tell them it is legal and now no complaints.  BTW: the Police and Sheriff Deputies use it all the time to practice.  Hope all have a great week.  Later.

Aloha and happy Monday. Foggy and cold today. Looks like it may be productive as no one seems about. They're renovating the ground floor of this building.  Neat to see the original frame (from 1912) before they put in the new 'glass' - used to be Lyttons Department Store.  Still plenty of snow around.  Didn't watch the Oscars. Got a new mystery novel from the library.  Might walk down to the Field Museum today as it's free...

Good night all.  Did Shake And Bake Jr. get to sit in the audience?  Did not recognize him on TV.  OH,I was reclinerizing.  Sorry.  Sure hope he did get to sit with all the stars.  Give us an update.

No, he didn't get to sit in the audience, but he was standing to the side.  Said he was less then 10 feet from the stage next to the "first box".  Not sure what that means, whether on the same level, or at a balcony level.  He also said he was backstage and met Steve Martin, Monique, Robin Williams, and Tom Hanks.   He has been there since 7 am Saturday morning, should be home tonight.  Also told us he had his picture taken on the Red Carpet in the tux.  He also said he met a number of super models and beauty pagent winners.  When we talked to him you could just hear the excitment in his voice, he made sure he told me he was at the bar area after the show and was walking around with a martini.  Also, that he was certain they wanted him back next year.  Definetly, a lifetime experience, especially for a 20 year old.

On the train front spent some time yesterday "coloring" railroad ties.  The Gargraves track I used is a light brown, and the sections of Ross are all black.  Looks kinda odd when they are together, switches and curves black, all the straight sections brown.  This is going to be a task, but t really looks a lot better in the areas that are all blackened.

Well better get to work !

Hope everyone has a great Day !!!

LOL, Carl Edwards is getting a bad boy reputation. Give him a bump and he will put you on your roof. Junior just keeps struggling, not sure if he has what it takes to be a top 5 driver.
