Mike, Not sure what exactly they are telling you, it could be necrotizing fasciitis, but that usually is a generalized cell destruction. Either way, doesn't sound good. Many times, these type cases have several systems that are affected.
Old TImer, yeah, I have that site already in my favorites, along with several others. If you go to some of the magazine hosted photo sites, they have some useful information too. I have also taken some courses in photography and most will give additional sites to attendees. you would think with all the information that I have had, I would take better photos...but I don't have a whole lot of time to spend with it.
Chief, don't recall anything like that when I went to school. Perhaps I went to the wrong places. My personal feelings are that they don't need computers in every classroom. Have a computer class by all means, but when you have a whole generation that graduate and can't tell you what years the civil war was fought, or what the treaty of Versailles was, perhaps they need to get back to the basics.
Was a long day, not much in the way of work to do (only one small case), but have started that Daniel Diet/Fasting that had me getting all kinds of "food of the earth" and then just trying to find something to eat....had a headache from not doing so. Finally got that all straightened out. Also went to the gym and worked out for an hour. Feel like I have been through the ringer, but I guess in a few weeks we will be seeing some results.
Won a train set on Chooch. Was out bid on a few items though. I guess that is just how it goes. I really don't need anything else, but oh well.
Brutus, continued prayers for Char. Please let her know that you have a lot of friends praying for her and her job is to get better and keep her spirits up! Glad the fever broke. I guess her white count has come up enough to stave off some illness. Glad it didn't happen a week ago, or she may not have been released.
God Bless,Dennis
Edit...Ray, I'd love to take a cooler into work, but I think they may frown on one in the surgical suite. We have a fridge in the doctor's lounge, but often folks will grab whatever is in there regardless of putting a name on it. One guy got in some hot water when he made "Exlax Brownies" to stop the theives, but oh well. Thanks for the thought though.

Jack - Yep, you heard about my unfortunate incarceration eh?
Dennis - someone stole my diet pepsi just today at work = my boss!
Char is doing good - had a bone marrow biopsy today. Her platelets are at 117,000. Hemoglobin was 10.1, which is good. Didn't get the ANC number this time. White cells were excellent, but can't remember the number she was given. Doctor says she is recovering nicely
Prayers for us all and our friends and loved ones.
Man, I'm so tired of watching the olympics! How much longer is this stuff on?
Scored some wheel/axle sets for a project and got a line on some couplers I can rivet on to some cars I want to scratch build. Off work tomorrow, but need to do taxes, grocery shopping, take kids to doctor and other stuff, so it's not like a real "day off"
Tardis is ready so let's hit it - Mike, that's fine, you can drive
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Back from down east in time for the School Board public hearing on assignment. Now I am on the 11:00 news. Then took the new 4 members of the Board out to dinner. Kind of saying thanks for your support for Rolesville to have a HS. Just got in. Tired. Long day. Hope tomorrow is MY day. Monday a newspaper reporter wants to follow me around. No rest for the weary. My buudy and neighboring town's Mayor's brother died. Have liver cancer. Did not last long after he found out.
\Mom is not doing good at all. Has some kind of spells. 20% heart working. Can hardly walk to the door and back with out giving out. Can't remember what happened what happened 5 minutes ago. Does not talk while I was there. Will answer questions if you shout [can't hear]. Forgets where bathroom is located and it is adjoining den. Starts to the one in the other part of the house. Eats good but "skinny as a rail".
Tired. Sleep tight.

CHIEF ..... God bless your mom .... putting in double prayers for her .... sorry to hear the bad news buddy . I know it's extremely rough on you .... watched my dad go almost the same way from cancer .... it's a heartbreaker we have to endure for some reason .
Chatted with RT - Charlie - Brutus - and of course Sir James / SJ on the tardis . Great night and fabulous folks . Prayers and good wishes to ALL my buddies and folks on here ...
Putting barrel plugs in those tiny barrels .... swear I'll be cross eyed by the time I get finished ... or a case of eye strain that would kill a horse !
Sunny and high 30's for the last couple of days.
Did a little re-wiring in the upstairs bathroom last night, and my son and I carried 9 sheets of drywall upstairs tonight. No need for a trip to the gym tonight.
Got word today that mom's knee replacement surgery went well. She is expected to go from the hospital to the re-hab center Saturday. I'm laying plans at work to get to Michigan for a visit later next week.
It is time to go through the 'system' and get the tags renewed on the cars. Waited in line today for about 20 minutes in the license office only to discover that I had the proof of insurance for the wrong car . Also discovered this morning that the tags on my truck expired at the end of January .
O gage layout gone at the Museum of Science and Tech. gone??? Say it ain't so! I first saw it about 1973 or '74. Then later with my kids in the late 80's. Seems like it had been re-done some time in between.
All for now.
Stayed on the hill later on Wednesday to catch up on some of the maintenance. Got a couple of things dealt w/ so it was a long, but good day. Used a manual pipe threader for the first time. Done a bunch on a benchtop machine while working in the hardware store. Gives me real respect for the guys 100 years ago when this was all they had. And I was only threading 1 1/4".
RockIsland - no return sightings of the skunk. He must be smarter than we are and stay out of the cold. Or our electrical engineers have scared him off.
NavyJack - the 2025 is back home w/ me. Will prob take it up w/ me again next week and grease the drive train. Smoke parts are on the way.
Jim T - should make it to the post office tomorrow.
Brutus - good to hear the wife is doing better. Will light the candle again tonight.
Slept like a log after yesterday then when in for the Holter monitor (it's called the Holter virginia south of the MD). Still go thru some of my episodes after I eat from time to time. Maybe they'll see something. Going to stay up and watch the late night olympics. Tomorrow after this thing comes off more wrenching on the corvair engine. Hope to have it in the garage this weekend. My Valentines Day efforts may have paid off BTW.

Good morning all,
IIABSDISEI with temps in the low 30s, but bad weather is coming back again. Wife had nice meal waiting for me when I got home last night and I ate too much as usual. Trip to YMCA was just going thru the motions. Watched some of the Olympics last night. Slept well. Dennis, thanks for the info. Chief, sorry to hear situation with your mom. It was a good drive on the Tardis. It was good to see Brutus relaxing for a little bit. Another long day at work yesterday and today. TGIF. Happy birthday, Buckeye! I had the regular fare on the dining car for breakfast as it rolled in from "Points East". Prayers going out to all who need them. TBIL any time and I can pull a double shift tonight. Buckeye Happy Birthday!
BUCKEYE
The party's for you !!!!!!!!!
Happy Birthday Buckeye!
Hope you have many more, buddy!
Prayers for your friend's family and your mom, Chief. And for you, too.
Bob - did they ever check to see if you have problems with gluten? A friend at work has some condition that is affected by gluten in foods, just a thought?
RT - I know your pain, brother. Worked in healthcare for several years and unfortunately our customers become our friends and then pass. Prayers for you. Hope they get your blood sugar under control, sounds like impaired glucose at this time or pre-diabetes? You need to talk to your doc about that HgA1C test and get that number, it gives you your average for the past 6 months basically. The ADA is now switching to using that as the diagnostic test for DM versus fasting glucose. Diagnostic fasting blood sugar is 126 mg/dl I think - we work a lot of claims for this due to Agent Orange exposure for Vietnam veterans. Get on top of this early, bro.
Ray - glad you are doing better.
Rich - hope things are looking up in Florida.
JImSP - prayers for your family and your ministry.
I know I'm forgetting a lot, so prayers for us all and our families and friends.
Jeff at the train tender is sending me some couplers - need to get a check in the mail today. Then I need to hit the LHS for some styrene. I'd like to work some brass too, but will do a couple in styrene first and see how I like that.
BUCKEYE!!! Isn't this # 39 (aka Jack Benny)?
Woke up startled in the middle of the night when a cow mooed at the Bd Rm window. A group of 16 cows broke through a fence and were feasting on the shrubs around the house. Had to wait for daylight to repair the fence and heard then back in.
That's why most cattle farmers have only a few shrubs around the house!

Aloha and Happy Friday Birthday to Buckeye from a sunny and unseasonably cold Chicago. Have to work hard to prep for my first Sat. class in a long long time tomorrow. Been going to the Art Institute every day at lunch. 8n, here is a link to the exhibits at the MSI - the HO layout they replaced the venerable O layout is still awesome - done by the folks at SMARTT featured in CTT a while ago. http://www.msichicago.org/whats-here/exhibits/ - Speaking of our battleship conversation of a few days back, they also have a nifty Navy exhibit and of course the U-505 and Zephyr are better than they've ever been. Hmmm, must go down there ...Prayers for Chief's mom, Char, RT.

Wifey gone to Richmond Va and a shopping and some kind of a tour. Bus load of ladies. Bet that is some hen cackling. Got a NS box car painting thing. Finally found an end of the track gang thing too. Chat later.
Chief.....you have my continued prayers and positive thoughts for your Mom, for you, and for your family in these most difficult times.

Had a very good evening last night. My nephew is in the Army, and going to be going to Japan in March for 3 years. (complete 2 tours in Iraq). So he got married in December, and we just got to meet his wife. A very nice young lady, he is quite fortunate.
Expecting more rain, looks like this storm is going to blow through the entire country, hopefully won't be too bad. So Bob get your stuff ready for a couple of days on the mountain. All you Texans, clean out the rain gutters, Midwest fellows make sure there is fuel for the snow blowers. And you folk in the South, best get them grits in plastic bags, or they will start exploding!

DR. RICH ANJDEVIL2 is da man!!!!!!!!!!! Doctor of car stuff. My wife's car stuff.
After 2 trips to the dealer and 4.5 days of the dealership service techs. scratching their heads.......
His diagnosis was right on the mark with my car issue. Plus he supplied me with links to technical service bulletins and a car forum.....right to the very posts from others with my car and exactly my problem.
The service technicians concurred with Dr. Rich and fixed my car.
Congas, Rich. And thank you!

I didn't know it would be so much fun turning 30, so I rounded up some sayings from some really famous people to explain all the fun.

TGIF!!! And thank goodness off of daywork. Citizens have been tripping over themselves trying to rat out their neighbors for not clearing their sidewalks, shoveling snow in road, and stealing parking places. And, YES, 911 actually takes and dispatches that nonsense.
I have spoken with 88...he is still digging out.
