Excellent self-control, Brent I like that phrase... 'risky rocks of deletion'. With a view to avoiding those shoals (Fife's tall ship comes to mind), let me share that I've been home working all day - even the bride decided not to go shopping - and have yet to run some trains. Obviously, my priorities are wrong. But I have to venture out to pick up our youngest at school. Good thing I bundled him up. By the way, anyone browse the CTT website ad for the auction of Fred Ertl Jr's stuff?

B.K. I'll be good but boy is it tempting not to be.
Evening all Not a lot going on in the train line got a few items in and thats about it its that time of the year when its hard to find a good deal on ebay as all your christmas layout folks are out there hunting which is good for the sellers and helps all around but some of the prices get crazy this time of the year also.
Hope all have been doing well haven't been posting a lot lately. Been missing the Tarus ride as been going to bed earlier than it pulls out normally as that 5:30 am comes alful early.
Chief I had ordered the wires to hook two bricks to a TPC from ebay from a hobby shop in waldorf, MD 2 days befor thanksgiving to this day I still haven't received them. and If not received in sat mail probably go the paypal refund route come sat. Talk to them last sat and said was sending them out again as couldn't understand why I didn't have them well If not here sat in mail will probably call miss Edna for those also. need to goto RS and get 2 position barrier strips and 2 place fuse block and some 15 amp fast acting fuses. Well trying to get all needs befor I start building as getting close to finally start I know I've been saying this for a couple of years now probably more like 4 but have moved twice in the middle so. Been here a year and a half now so doing well.
Hope all have a good weekend as I plabn to as it is the first complete weekend in a long time for me normally I work one day or the other when I'm off in OT but decieded not this weekend.

Back from Elderly Ladies' Sunday School Class party. Went well. Food good and they enjoyed my "here is what is going on in Rolesville" talk. Leaves up exceot in the fenced in back yard. Pinestraw over all the shrub and flower beds except a few. Think the cold wind without a hat may be catching up to me. Temps going into the 20's tonight. First real cold night of the season. Later.

Good evening,
Chief, Just because you have a lot more hair than I do, doesn't mean that you don't have to wear a hat in sub-freezing weather.
Hello All
Been listening with out much to say but.............
Anjdevil, I agree 100% Thanks t all your family.
Not much on the train front. I went to a local show in Johnstown on Sunday. Got a Lionel HO maintenance car. Little brother to the one on the CPI exchange. Also a HO Cape Cod plasticville and a bag of lychen. All for less than $20.00
Haven't done much deer hunting. Most agree they've been killing to many doe in PA. It's hard to even see a deer.
Hoping to put up outside decorations on Sunday
Keeping my fingers crossed, submitted a 2.62 Million bid today . A success would be a good end to a mediocre year.
Prayer for all who may need them

Chuck,
We need to send the Chief a Cleveland Browns' Official Fan Hat. It would keep him warm and reduce the screaming when he is out and about in Roseyville.

Buckeye - Too funny!
Man - how dumb can you get?! Tell your girlfriend you are breaking up and then go to sleep while there are grits in the house!!!
Well, wife's van started making a "bad noise" she said. I think it's the brake pads on the front end. I took off a little early to get the kids from school and met her at the garage/dealer so she could drop it off.
Prayers for Dennis, Bob, JimSP, and all the rest of us.
Tardis is ready and I think we should go hang at Don's pool tonight
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
LOL. That has to be worse than hot cheese or solder.
I found that there was a loose pin on a curve section, so things have improved slightly.
Hey Chief....When I saw this story all I could think of was how you guys all joke around about Grits being the "cure all" for most things.....

Don't fight with your woman and go to sleep.
Cold outside!!!!! Did not wear a hat in the cold wind this afternoon. Now I am getting a cold. Off to bed. Been reclinerizing while wifey couchized. Lucy and I are hitting the bed. Wifey so gone she refuses to get up.
Rich, you are OK.
Sleep tight all.
Was going to grump about the temperature being 7 degrees this morning, until I saw somebody mention -15 degrees.
The single digit temperature did cause my old truck to inform me that it wants a new battery NOW. Can't complain though, as that battery is 7 or 8 years old.
After the truck didn't start, my next choice is the '78 Aspen with a slant six. It cranked and fired, but didn't start. Next was mom's van, which did start, and I used it to jump the Aspen to get it running.
The sun was out, it got up to a balmy 20 degrees or so, and I had a working lunch that somebody else paid for, so the day improved a little and was not a total loss.
All for now.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a cold 18 degrees. Wind still blowing. Going up to 32 today with some sunshine.
Today will be busy. Wife is going grocery shopping in Cambridge. Gas prices are still too high. $2.55 a gallon. Should be $. 99 . I wonder what the excuse is now ?
I need to spend some time in the train room. Dusting and such. Trains need to be exercised. Need some maint. work too.
Dining car has rolled in early. Almost time for breakfast. Then, it will be off to all areas in " Points West".
Buckeye..... TGIF
Y'all have a great Friday.
Chuck
MichRR714 RT- Did you get my envelope yet?

HI GYZ,
13 and cold one here, to get to 31?
BUCKEYE TGIF!
BUCKEYE, saw a clip on news this morning from OHIO again, about a lady who has a pet doe living in her house. It loves to eat ice cream and psghetti. At least it don't like GRITs. But what's up with all you people in OHIO being on the news? Is it something in the water?
Stay frosty,
Good morning all,
IIABSDISEI with temps eventually getting to the 30s. Laz, to answer your question, it is a slow news day when they report events in Ohio. Everybody knows that if it does not happen in the "Great Hoosier State", it really isn't news :-) (I hope the O-gauge Overlord does not notice that last comment!) Was busy last night. Did weights and soccer drills at YMCA, went to library to watch high school song and dance group perform (which to my surprise and delight had one of "my" soccer girls in the group) and to see if the "saucy wench" won a silent auction wreath (she did), got some Christmas presents and cards for an office event today, and got gasoline for PT Cruiser. Busy. Slept well. I had bran muffins on the dining car that came in from "Points East" this morning. When I drove to the parking lot at work this morning, I saw the Amtrak train going by, which meant it was way behind schedule. TBIL after "Dollhouse". I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Mornin' boys. A chilly 23 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.
GregM - Can't believe maiming someone gets only a 2nd degree assault charge. How have you been? Any news on the job front?
Buckeye - What kind of head gear are Steelers fans sporting this morning...?
cheapclassics - Carefull, Dean Wormer put us on double-secret-probation...whatever that is...
Aloha! A balmy 5 degrees this morning. It feels warmer. Sorry for slowing the Internet down last night as I was uploading 1,127 pictures to a photo site - the bride wanted me to get all our photos off our 10 year old eMac. I figure this has got to count as some sort of Christmas gift - babysitting the uploads. Mike C, is Indiana really like it is on those TV shows 'The Middle' and 'Parks and Recreation' ? I thought of you while catching up on the episodes the bride recorded in between watching the Steelers fall apart. I'm so happy because it makes the Bears look better. Good Tardis ride last night. Need to go back to Don's pool.
Morning. 28 degrees last night. BURRR Hair cut time. Been up since 4:30 AM. Stuffy nose time.
For Mike C. http://www.newsobserver.com/sports/
Wifey was slow getting up. Now not going to work but shopping. Soon I hope to get out of my hair. I've got my things to do and not her's.
Later.
Mornin' Fellas.I just love when someone posts something trying to insite an arguement and it results in a mind numbing EPIC FAIL! I'll be laughing about this one for a while. GregM - where you been? How are things on the job front?JimT - c h e c k y o u r y a h o o e m a i l...We are moving our office back to the old office (they finally are finishing the remodel)... so we are able to take our existing office furniture if we want it. Took a two drawer lateral file home yesterday... looks pretty nice! Hope to get the desk, credenza, and hutch home in the next couple weeks. Hope there is enough room in the office for this stuff. Solid wood, very heavy, very large. When I moved the bookshelf (where the lateral file needed to go) I realized there was an outlet beside it. So I decided to swap it out with a new decorator outlet. Shut the power off to it and doing so shut the power off to the entire office and the outlet in the entry way... since the power was off I figured I may as well swap out the rest of them... did that and realized I had swapped out 5 outlets and only had 1 outlet cover ... so had to go to HomeDepot... picked up all the outlet covers for the sunroom outlets and switches as well... got home... found 1 outlet cover was bent... and that I did not have a lighted decorator switch for the office... , so I figured I would go ahead and exchange the outlet cover and pick up the new switch today during lunch... left the outlet cover at home... LOL!I think someone is trying to tell me I need to stop doing home improvements and work on the layout!!!!Buckeye - can I get one of those hats? Paint it black and gold please... ugh
TGIF!!!!!!
Wha...wha happened? Did I MISS something?
In the balmy 40’s right now, gray and cloudy. Rain this weekend and then 80’s on Monday. Go figure....
Company Christmas party Saturday – rain that night. Going for a couple of hours and then back home – if I feel better.
Going to see the MD later, this stomach thing has persisted long enough.
8nT – ’78 Aspen, huh? I have a ’76 wagon, but with a MUCH BIGGER powerplant...
I actually had time to run the under tree layout, need to adjust a few things, the clearances on the curves have a lot closer than I would like.
Took the Princess to see her friends at the High School Christmas Choir Concert last night. It was nice and she had a good time.
OK back to work, see ya in a few...
I am the monster in your head...And I thought you'd learn by now, It seems you haven't yet.I am the venom in your skin --- Breaking Benjamin
Brent,
I replied to your email. I think you'll like it...
I have to finish one of the online classes today, so hopefully the tests won't be too difficult. Igot a repro talking station record in the mail yesterday, and it looks different than General Mills era repro. I have played it yet though.
