Evening all. Was watching 11 PM news on TV 17. I made the news along wioth two other Mayors. Legislature is trying to steal some of our tax money. Just like those BUMS. The Dems [I'm going to change my registration] are thinking they are proud of their poor doings. Link for 11 PM news has not posted as yet.
I know how to make it rain and rain good. Sunday PM [just before dark] I mixed 15 gals of spray in my JD pull behind sprayer. Wanted to spray that evening as going to lake next day. Do not like to spray in the AM due to so many bees working. Well, before I could finish, a down pour came and I got soaked. Washed spray away. Weell, today was sunny so I sprayed the rest of the tank [did neighbor's and my garden]. As soon as I ran out of spray, from no where came a cloud and a down pour. Then the sun came out. Gave up, washed out sprayer and put it under shelter.
Went to a Time Warner reception. Now watching TV. Going to hit the trains tomorrow before going to a Mud Cats [local farm league team] with other Mayors. Free hot dogs and hamburgers. Always free food.
Well, bed time. Sleep tight. OH, got a big mess [two big bags] of blue berries from FIL's. Also got over 50 red bugs on left leg. Not a one on the right. ?????
PS: Jim T, check out the little rubber ti-s [can't type it as software will think it is ugly word] on bottom of black cows. IF they are not standing up good and in the right direction, will not work good.

Greenberg show is this weekend in Timonium, are you going?

Jim,
I bought the cattle from Marty Cohen (also got the 322 from him), and I gave him a call about the cattle. He told me to use a clothes iron on the lowest setting to slant the nap backward. It worked like a charm, but created another small gremlin. Now, the black cattle go up the ramp, but they run counter clockwise in their pen LOL. I tried to turn them the right way, but they automatically turn back around. Now that I have the 771s, I really want a 766 Guilford Station. Need to control my spending.
Doug M.,
I am still laughing from your barn comment.
Chief,
Gilbert used slant-nap mohair on their cattle. Lionel's rubber finger system is much less frustrating, but overall the Flyer 771 Stockyard blows Lionel's 3656 Stockyard out of the water IMHO. I love how you can keep the Flyer cattle walking continuously in their pens. Flyer's mechanism is so much simpler (and more dependable) than either version of the Lionel 3656.
Good evening all,
It has been raining a lot in SE Indiana. We successfully returned to the Hoosierland this evening. Lucas did not burn down the house while we were gone :-) Training made for some long days, but the "saucy wench" and I had some nice evenings enjoying some of the sights of Atlanta. Except for the downtown area, they seem to be unable to build a road that runs in a straight line???? No offense, Dennis, but there seems to be a definite health hazard there when you cannot see a car coming until it is two feet away from. Oh, well, I guess people get used to it. The other thing is the parking. We had complimentary valet parking for a Chili's???? In any event, we are safe and sound and glad to be home. Glad to hear Susie-Q was not hurt. Soccer team loss 1-0 in overtime in second round. Guess I should have been there :-( Beacon is lit. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a rainy, 67 degrees. It has rained all night. Still coming down. Going up to 80 today, with some sunshine later.
Today is a busy day. I have a few chores around the house. I will be relaxing, later, this afternoon. Maybe run trains.
Dining car was here for the usual breakfast.

Y'all have a great Friday.

Thanks Don B. for the link so we could hear Hiz Honor speak--you know, he cleans up really well, I was impressed
I wonder if that tie was a clip on
Jon
So many roads, so little time.
Good Morning All:
Jon - Now I get It. It has been a long time, but I do remember my grandfather using the term "sewer city". His honor does clean up nice. But then you can't see his blueberry stained hands.
SJ - Have you ever heard of placing a copper penny on a bee sting immediately after you are stung? Suppose to eliminate the itch and swelling. Someone mentioned that recently, but haven't had a chance to try it (actually I hope I never get that chance).
Brutus - the Wise Farmer cartoon at the bottom of the post is especially for you and your decaff coffee.
Chief - The rain maker! You should take your talents on the road, especially to the south-west USA. All then red bugs on your left leg and none on your right leg means you are registered in the wrong political party!
For those wondering why the Tardis ride last night was so rough, Mich and I were trying to both drive at the same time.
QUESTION - How to you reserve a hotel room this early for York? I went on line and tried 7 different hotel/motel and all would only take reservations through Aug.

Morning. Sun is out and hot. Calling for some severe storms this PM. Got a Mud Cats game and outing. Hope it does not rain until after we eat. Going to mow grass now. Then run some errands in town.
Pat, love your daily jokes.
One JD box car leaving Roseyville with a load of GRITS inside. Enjoyed running that one.
Chat later.

Aloha all. Beautiful day here! Glad I took today off to take a teen to the Volo Auto Museum in beautiful Volo, Illinois. Missed a tornado yesterday - landed about 7 miles away. It's no use arguing with the company, Brutus, but the boy will be adding this to what he has to work off for me...

choochin - The postcard is on the fridge, but I'm not headed to Timonium this weekend. Thanks for the reminder, just the same.

Good Evening
Happy Birthday Don B. nice picture.
Another summer day, low 80s. Got out early and with grannys help got the porch post's painted before the sun reached us. Only thing outside the house I have to paint. End of the month means coney month will be over tonite. So of course I had two 99 cent coneys for supper. Put a penny on a sting, yes I've heard of that but it was not on my mind at the time. The after market is much worse than the sting. Banilla is ready and I am waiting for the thingy...S.J.
Kurt, these were the real deal - complete with Ectoplastic Residue emergency drain. Caution: noxious fumes. and they had a TV Batmobile - and all sorts of other movie vehicles - and 200 'regular' cars' like a 71 Dodge Charger SE with a 440 for only 17,700. - didn't buy it though.
Mr Don!
Happy Birthday Don!
