Doug - Actually the food wasn't too bad. The place they had the training is the base for the Baltimore Ravens training Camp, so the food was decent. Just soup and sandwiches with some chips and homemade cookies. Not bad for Seminar Food.

It is mint and in the box, Lionel. And a clockwork at that!!! (Engine & two cars)No I havn't been in the sun to long.... I will get a picture posted this weekend.
Great deal! I and my wife wish my trains only cost $10.00 per set. I look forward to seeing the photos. My job does not require the travel like you and the Chief, so I don't see any train stores, hardly any shows, and the folks in these parts just don't have the O gauge in the attic. Oh well, just have to keep paying for the freight.
Again, congrats! have a great day,

Good morning all,
It is sunny and cold in SE Indiana with temps heading to the 40s today. It was a grand and glorious night last night as "my" soccer girls won their first game of the sectional 2-0. It was only their second win ever in tournament play, and the first win in regulation. What made it slightly sweeter was beating the coach who used to run the program here. He still plays that German long ball style of running the offense (Tmcc man, you may know what I am talking about), and it never worked in Greensburg and it still does not work. You have to have the right temperament and the right type of players for it to work. We never did and he still does not have it. The weather was cold but dry, and the girls played really well. We have a much tougher game tonight.
I did catch the tail end of "Lost", but it is on tape so I will watch it sometime. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana

Hope you had some rocks in your pockets?
Good morning,
The cold hasn't arrived here yet, in the low 60s at present.
Don, have you figured out how to install TMCC in that clockwork engine yet?
Buckeye, that was indeed a close one.
In case you haven't heard the Amish community tore down that imfamous schoolhouse before daylight this morning and hauled the debris away to an undisclosed dump site. They don't want any souvenir hunters looking for parts of it.

Jim, I do that occasionally also, mostly by accident. What passes as a casual comment here, will start a war of words over there. Some very knowledgable people freguent that forum, but also a lot of very opionated ones.
Take care,
John- hope your stuff shows up today! Buckeye, glad the twisters missed you! Don - that's an incredible deal, man! Post some picks soon please. Chuck - you are right sir! How's your track going? I'm off tomorrow and I only gave myself 2 jobs, put the track together and run that train!
Cold here this morning in Lower Arnold. I hope Marty makes it back soon - I'm curious to find out what that alien invaders left behind!

Mike C., that's the way I learned how to play the game. Buckeye, glad they missed you. Hope everyone is OK. Saw the weather featured on TV this morning.
Cnw1995, wow, when I mentioned that phrase, I really did not expect anybody to pick up on it. So, do you still play the game?
Just north of Roger's Corners from the storm last night. I hate being on the Weather Channel news. This is the third time that I have been in the area where they are reporting. First it was hurricane, then a snow storm and now this tornado(?).

Why is my last post marked locked?
John, I had that happen to me about a month ago. I have no idea why it locked my post.
Well, I snuck a peak at the F3's Boy are they nice! It just makes me want to take them out and play now. When I get home, I have plenty of benchwork to take care of. Also got another shipping message from The Train Station. Not sure what it is, it may be more fastrack. I think it will keep be busy.
Tornados, I hates tornados. When my son was 6 months old, we had one come through our yard and take out 12 trees. My wife was huddled in the hall bathroom with our son and I was at work in the middle of a case. She said it sounded like a freight train coming down the chimney.

Dennis - If I do get to the November show it'll have to be after 1 on Sat., I work Sat. mornings, or on Sunday. If you decide to go let me know what your schedule is and maybe we can hook up.

Huge sale at Walmart. Big bags of Royal Oak charcoal for $.75. Grass seed for $1.50 a bag (usually $11.00). Fertilizer and insecticide for $2.00 a bag. I loaded up my trunk for $24.00! People were walking out of there with mounds of stuff in their carriages. It was kinda like looting, only with money......................Jim
New England Yankee slowly roasted over a hot fire.
As for the sale at Walmart. SQUEEK SQUEEK
Been busy on Town and Pro Mariner business on the computer all morning. More to do. Then start cooking. BTW: Didn't know New England Yankees knew enough to start a flame war.
Buckeye, see, better watch how you talk about us REBS and all the "things" you take credit for when it is in my ball park. [glad you are OK]
Later gang.

Buckeye,
Karen was talking to our son last night, he lives just inside the Delaware city limits. He told her his power was out (came back on while they were talking). He mentioned that there were tornadoes in the area and he was fairly certain that one touched down in your area. Two miles away isn't in the area, it's right next door, even in an suburban area. Were there warnings given? Any injuries? Son said the sky looked a strange green color earlier in the evening. Reminds us that even with all our knowledge and technology, we aren't in control..
ChiefEagles wrote:. . . BTW: Didn't know New England Yankees knew enough to start a flame war. . . .
Greg, the sirens were blaring all over Central Ohio. I was at City Hall for my weekly planning commission meeting and the police put us all in the basement. We could hear the fire trucks leave the station and head north towards the affected areas.
No, we are not in control and the arrogance of some that think we are in control is astonishing.
and now some more weather news from Buckeyeland:
On October 12, 2006 at 1:25pm,
It SNOWED!!!
Buckeye : glad you're OK !! That was really close, plus you got snow ? ! No snow here yet, just kind of cool today & I had to put on 2 sweatshirts & my jacket at work this morning.
Chuck : hope you stayed warm today !!
Well, getting ready for company to come in a couple hours, I think. More coming than I first thought, & not much room down here !! I guess I didn't build my layout with many visitors in mind !! Are you supposed to leave room for real people ? !! Oh well, we'll pack em' in somewhere !!
I will probably try to direct them to a good starter set for the little guy for Chritmas !
Hope everyone has a nice evening !!
Thanks, John

YES, John, I am keeping warm today. I wore 2 flannel shirts just to take the dogs out. I have the same problem, that you do. Didn't leave enough room in my train room for people. But, with the new addition, I should be OK. Maybe 2 or 3 people. LOL
Yes, Mike C. I still occasionally play but not in any adult leagues anymore. I'm old enough to have been on the first soccer team for my high school - with a coach straight from the old country. Boy, did he work us - but none of us had ever played the game before - this in the late 70s before the the plethora of youth leagues. We were terrible. I enjoy your league updates.Snowed on and off all day - it sure is cold! Expected to melt though.
Jim, I'm careful of what I post on OGR. Lots of good people there but even after a few years, I don't have a 'feel' for the place - like I think I do here
