David, I found your auction. If you have a phone number or an email address, contact them and ask what the status of your order is. It appears that they are a high-volume Ebay retailer. I'd guess your loco will arrive soon. High volume takes time to process.

Installed two of my bookshelf displays, two more to go.

Not much to look at but they work.  Painted them with some spray paint that I had on hand.  No much of the wood is visable when the trains are in place.

Need to donate some more books to the Library book sale.  Need room for more trains! Smile [:)]

Happy Birthday Keith!

David- I always wait 10 days before I email them - usually stuff comes in that time unless there was a problem.

Sorry to hear about Lucas = hang in there.

Cool display idea - nice use of the room that would otherwise be wasted.

Diet Pepsi!

Laz - I tried to send you an email from work with some links, but I don't think it went through.  Here are some websites we use at work for medical stuff - the first will tell you how to do a straight leg raising test for L5-S1 neuropathy or intervertebral disc disease:

http://www.cagworld.com/Resources/Medical.asp?Letter=S

This one is VERY good and has every medical process or procedure you ever heard about:

No train stuff today, just got home!

Happy Birthday Keith!!!!!!!!!

Buckeye, My best friend and I were in Colorado Springs for the dedication of the Fallen Firefighters Memorial (back when I was a firefighter), anyway, we had a few too many and then proceeded to go up to Pike's Peak.  It was a memorable experience, both of us nearly fell off the side of the mountain.

Good Night!

Fell asleep at TV again.  Did this afternoon [very unsual for me].  Don't know why so sleepy.  Did run trains [several engines] this evening for about an hour.  Didn't get anymore rain. Sad [:(]  Off to bed.

I got home and no one was there yesterday. So I put the TV on and fell asleep. Been very tired lately. Maybe it's allergies. Went to Buggaboo Creek for dinner with the fam. I had ribs and steak!

I stopped at the train store on the way home last night to look over those 2 $30 GP9s. Total junk! Neither one would move at all. I passed!

Happy Belated Birthday, Keith!!!! Did you buy yourself a nice 1688?

Took a break from the layout last night. May do the same tonight.

Have a great day, everyone.

Good morning all,

It is sunny and cool this morning in SE Indiana with temps in the 60s heading to the 80s.  I got a lot of little things done around the house last night.  Some times it is nice to have time to get those things done that have been bugging you.  I ran the 10E last night with three 500 series cars and a caboose.  It ran really well.  I have a stretch of curves where all the engines slow down and I may replace it with new track, or I may tinker with the old stuff to see where the problem is.  I have enough power leads to that section so I am not sure where the difficulty is.  I finally got my rent check from my tenant so that helps as well.  There are two soccer games tonight.  The boys are at home, which I will see, and the girls are on the road.  I hope they both come home with a win, but I am not holding my breath.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training....in the free world  (with apologies to Neil....Young, that is),

What happened to the posting about the Coors train from MTH?  Did somebody do something stupid?

Morning all.  I suspect the Coor thread got caught up in the Political Correctness machine and got goobled up.  They can sell what they want but to me the catalog cover just doesn't say Toy Trains.  Oh well, enough of that,  Going to get warmer today.  Hopefully replace the other valve today without destroying another train.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a cool 65 degrees and sunny. Going up to 86 today and sunny. The days have been beautiful. Grass is green and the humidity dropped down. I hope it stays like this for a long time.

Happy Belated Birthday to Keith.........

Today will be a slow day. Getting a hair cut this afternoon. I may run trains after that. Still have the back grass to cut. I might do it tonite or tomorrow. That's the nice part of being retired. No rush.

Sounds like all that work caught up with Chief. Get caught up with some rest now. You probably wore yourself out.

I'm off to the Dining car. Breakfast. I will return later.

Y'all have a great day.

HI GIZ,

BUCKEYE, I'll drink to that, and KEITHS Happy B-Day [bday]Happy B-Day [bday]Happy B-Day [bday], except with OLD MILWAUKEE beer.  Because it don't get any better then that.

JIM F, thanks for the info on the foot did the test and nothing applies seems like it is still the Siatic nerve pressing.  It is starting to get better.  Went for a 10 mile bike ride yesterday and NO PAIN whatso ever.  So thats a good sign.  Going to try GOLF with brother today.  His Bells Palsey is feeling better and has more movement with his face.  But we will have to use a golf cart.

DAVE, If you would have Pay Pal, it would have been shipped already.  With just your CC he probably waited a little?  Give the guy an email and see whats up?  I use Pay Pal and had no problems.  Hope you get your engine.

   All have a good one.

  Oh Yea HAPPY FRIDAY EVE!!!!!!!!

One more thing the other nite on the History channel was a episode about MEGA MOVERS where they move a 1840s train station and two decapods.  One was down on Houston and the other was oin Oklahoma.  Pretty cool stuff.  Neat engines and BIG.

If you didn't catch it check your listings cause it will be on again?

Happy Birthday Kieth !! Happy B-Day [bday]   Are you back from vacation yet?

Took my in-laws to pick up a dinette set for them, while we were there purchased a bar and 2 bar stools for our room.  Justified that with all the work that lay ahead need to make sure that we have adequate facility for detail planing, discussion and refreshment.

Have a great day all.....

Well, mom is gone back east. Made it to O'Hare airport and back in just under two hours. Beautiful, windows-open day here in northeastern Illinois - the middle boy gets his 'head-gear' for braces today - that's probably where my money is going. I'm going to take the youngest to the park - and work later. Happy birthday to Keith!! You know, I haven't run a train in almost ten days - have to correct that later !!

Thanks, Laz

I just sent out  an email. If  I ever  get this Lionel docksider loco, I'm going to build an 027 3-rail tinplate layout  with semi scale cars for a workplace layout when we move to our new location, possibly in November.

BTW, thanks you, whomever contacted scratch  b rules. He sent  me an email from Florida and I credited his name to the article I sent to GRR, which included a photo of his tower.

And, a belated happy birthday to Keith!

Why I can't get anything done.  Was interrupted by Town business calls this AM.  Buddy came by [unannounced] to get two wheels off of a trailer I was given.  He needed 12 inch wheels and tires and I could use the 8 inch ones he had.  Then he stayed for lunch [I had to fix].  I had started lunch early so I could go out and rip the 4X8 sheets of plywood to finish the walkin attic room.  He just left.  BURR

Howdy folks!

Hey Chief, got another email "Congratulations!", oh boy!, I wonder how mad she can get?  Also, when we arrived home today, nice package with a couple of Beeps that I won on the bay.  One is US Marines, the other is US Airforce.  Even though I got them both for $60.00, I think I am pushing the train restriction limits.

Mike, hope Lucas is having a good day today.  Please know that we are thinking about him and your family.

Well, gonna go as I have been pulling many hours this week and I need some rest.  Take care,

Dennis

Hello everybody,
Does anyone have an opinion on the 2666 Tender?
I have won a 1664 steamer on Ebay and it is poor condition, so perfect for me. Besides a misfunctioning E-unit, dirt, rust, poor paint and a drawbar to couple the tender with that is bent like a questionmark it is OK. And a small detail: there is no tender. Anyway, I looked in my prewar Lionel books and found a description that is was quiet a common steamer in the early war years and that it came with the ubiquitous and well-known 1689 Tender and also with a 2666 Tender. Since, then I am surfing on the web to find a pictures of this mystery tender. Does anybody out there have an opinion which tender would look better on the 1664?
Thanks in advance,
Egbert

Laz, I got mine also today.  I am going on Thursday and taking a friend, who is now in HO, along as a guest.  He has been having some eye trouble and I have been trying to convert him to O as a better choice for him.  I think the show will overwhelm him as the only other shows he has attended are the greenberg shows which don't even fill the orange hall.

I am also planning to go on Friday and will try to convince my wife to go along, probably do dinner and/or stop at a mall on the way home.

I have a ticket for the Weaver tour on Wednesday so I will be driving to York three times that week.  Of course that means I will miss the TCA Museum open house on Wednesday this year.

Guess what.  Got the other long wall covered in the walkin attic. Big Smile [:D]  Now back wall to do.  It is all angles as it follows the roof line.  Also has a big window in it.  Really want to get it done tomorrow.  Wife has lips sticking out as I was not ready to go eat when she got home.  Now she is sleeping in front of bedroom TV.  Man, everyone wants my time [Town, Pro Mariner, neighbors and wife]. Sad [:(]

Hey all,
Been busy finishing the doctorate and teaching and have not had a lot of time to post.l  Happy Birthday to Keith and anyone else celebrating!  Weather has been dry up here.  Temps have been normal, but we are 2" down for the year in rain.  Garden is doing well.  Won a Premier Proto 1 K-4 today on the bay for $250.00   that will get an upgrade and be placed into service soon.  Read on the OGR board about some trouble makers selling items and not delivering on them.  Said they were listed on the SVC board.  What is that?  Well going back to burying my head in the Keyboard.  I will try to be more diligent in my checking in.  OH....  Got the TCA card today and it ius already in the mail.  WHo will I see there?  I am going from Thurs through friday afternoon.
