WOW!!! Just back from Cabela's Grand Opening in Wheeling WV. It was like going to the state fair. Had to close off ramp from Interstate and divert traffic to another lot and bus them in. Could not move in the store on Saturday. Folks waiting in line to check out for over 30 minutes!!!!![ask Buckeye about the crowd]. They did $1,030,000 in business on Saturday. I think Cablea's is a better store than BPS. Their marine dept is not as good as BPS but everything else is larger and better. This was a "small store" too. Did get by Buckeye's house and see both layouts [O and Garden]. Outstanding. Now for the picture!!!! Frank is the good looking one [Buckeye, did not hurt your feelings or mine [;)]]. Now to mow grass that has really grown since I mowed it Thursday. God bless all.

Is Cabela's an outdoors or fishing store?

The guy in shades is Spanky and the bird is Buckeye?

Hi guys,

I thought I would have pictures to post of my crossover today, but my daughter is missing the software that goes with the digital camera so there will be an unavoidable delay.

Chief's hot dog trick didn't quite work the other day. BB the Beagle was hot on the trail of a rabbit. She looked at the hot dog and actually ignored it to pursue her rabbit. Incredible is all that I can say. She eventually did return for it, but on her own schedule.

She's a beagle with a high IQ, the most dangerous type.

At 4:30 a.m. she got up whining and scratching a bookcase. I moved the bookcase to see what was causing her agitation. She crawled in back and a cricket jumped out the other side. BB raced to the other side and the cricket jumped the other way. Back and forth they went.

On the forth iteration, BB finally caught up with the cricket.

Answer to both: Cabela's is both and now BPS is both.

Hey Jerry,

Yes, Spanky will perch on others. He can be very cuddly, but he will only let me pet him.

Cabela's traffic was as bad as the WV State Fair? I'm surprised you got back at all (LOL). Anyway, I appreciate your comments; we'll make the trip when it calms down a little; it's an all day juant from our end of WV, even though my son wants to upgrade his fishing equipment (you never have enough!).

^*@# Yankees did it on purpose. No, it turned off pretty while I was there. Was cooler and low humidity. Went to Outback in Ohio the other night. Put waitress to a test. She wanted to know what I wanted to drink. I told her sweet tea. She said OK. Got it and it was not sweet [I drink it both ways]. Yankees fail the test everytime. [;)] Well, off to town today to eat with oldest as I missed her birthday too while I was gone. Have a good day and God bless all.

sprained my ankle trying to run out of the way of a big mail truck that looked like it wasn't going to stop at a red lite. Nothing serious, just limping around like a sickbay commando.

Chief, that is why in Ohio we put the sugar on the table so you can sweeten it yourself. We invented that concept about 120 years ago. Where have you been?

Good Morning all,

We already have a temp of 73 deg at 6:00am and going to a high of 88 today with lots of Sun. Sounds like summer has returned now that some people have left the state.

Dave, sounds like you will just have to set down and run some trains for a time being.

Chief, us northern are more worried about peoples health, like diabetics, so the sugar is an optional. Besides, most of us are already sweet enough, we don’t need all the extra stuff.

All have a great day
tom

Tom,

There are some great tasting teas you can brew without sugar like mint tea and even ginger tea (just bring to a boil and let set). They taste good and even stave hunger pangs. I quit drinking sugary Colas and even drink my coffee straight now and in one month I lost 12 pounds (also cut 95% of chocolate out). Your body seems to adapt and a sugary drink would seem undelicious now.

Dave,
I have to agree.
I like raseberry icetea, which is very sweat with out adding sugar. Now if we could only get the southern boys to drink it.[:O] [(-D]

BTW, are you taking any time off between jobs[?]

Good afternoon everyone!

Well, today was my first day of grade 12. Feels strange to be in grade 12. I wi***hey would have started school later, though. I'm sure this is the earliest they've ever had it. But, we get more holidays during the year than we did last year, so I suppose that's better. In my first psychology class today (which is very small, only me and three girls), the first thing my teacher said was how he heard so much about my trains (obviously from my French teacher who brought the French class to see my trains at the end of grade 11) and that he's going to invite himself over to see them sometime. There's also an intern working with him, who said that she loves trains. The topic then came up of having a class to go see the trains. We then went on to talk about trains andthe teacher told about remembering steam engines from when he was a kid. It really is amazing how much people do like trains and how many will really open up once they find out that you do.
