Coffee is hot and steaming this AM. About like the weather. Think it is now here [summer]. Hot with heavy dew. Getting ready to fly out to Yankeeland [packing a jacket]. Leaving Dr. John and Roger to fight off the Yanks. First meal will be at an Italian place in shopping center across from the hotel. They have real pizza [made by real Italians] and outstanding [hot] wings [second meal]. Then it is all down hill as Yankees do not know how to cook. Have a good one and God bless all.

Good Morning all,

NE Ohio is cool and cloudy at 48 deg and a high of only 56 deg. They knew the Chief was coming.

I believe that Buckeye has a party planned as the Chief leaves town. Can’t wait to read it.

Morning GIZ,
59 and breezy today, to get to 68.
CHIEF don't know if I will get to see you this weekend with funeral and wake but if I get a chance I will probably see you at the store on Saturday.
Golf tonight, maybe try and beat my brother for the fourth time?
All have a good one.

Good morning everyone!

Got Big Blue back from the shop yesterday with a new radiator and new spark plug wires. She's running really sweet again! I'll drive her up to Nashville, TN on Monday for a golf tournament. Think I'll give her a wash and wax over the weekend.

Graduate recognition at church Sunday, so I have to wear a robe (Baptist preachers usually don't). The things are HOT! After Memorial Day we (the church staff) will ditch the coats and ties for the summer and do the "dress casual" look for the summer. With temperatures in the 90s and humidity levels at over 90% most of the time, it helps!

Have a great day, everyone!

Just a quick hello - it's freezing here - grey and windy - I shivered through a LL baseball game yesterday afternoo and it was 26 degrees with the wind chill. Oh well, summer will be here soon maybe. Can't wait to open or rather re-open my Santa Fe steam passenger set and the K-Line Pennsy battery-powered set on my birthday this Sat.

Hey Guys,

As me and Ben are working on our Turbo smoke system, im starting to go into my "summer work(train)time" .

Im proud to announce that im working on my 4' by 8' benchwork to lay my plywood on. Looking for good deals as usual, Im in shop class so I got a discount on wood. Im building the bench work with 3/4 inch pine stock for only $14!! As an added bonus, Im assembling it right in the woodshop, with all the tools that I need.

The table will be set in a different corner, and I will be getting a dehumidifier also for the humid Wisconsin summers. I chose the 4x8 spacing so if we do go into the big gillet street house, I can use the bench work for building my dream 1957 catalog layout, or if we dont, Ill still have something!

I will take some pictures with my film camera of the progress.

Mornin GIZ,
38 and cool today only to get to 70.
JERRY great job wish you were in my shop class. We could have made a train layout and house it in the display case outside my shop. Keep up the good work and let us know how things are going. I have some good students but none have the desire to run trains, wi***hey did cause I'd love to make a train display for the school.
Beat my brother in golf again shot a 44 on the front nine he shot a pitiful 51. So far me 4 brother 1.
Have agood one and TGIF everybody.

Happy birthday Doug.

At noon its 84F with 58% humidity. The sun feels intense and hotter when standing out in it, though a few clouds are moving in, chance of thunder showers later. Turned on the AC unit in the train room last night and just turned it on in the house when I got home from work at 1, time to watch the electric bills start to climb.

I haven't posted much here lately but I thought I throw one in to try and pu***his towards 300 pages. We are looking forward to graduating our 4th child from college at Geneseo State U in western NY. After this only 1 left in undergrad school out there in Ohio land at Kent State. I'll be glad when next year at this time gets here.

Here in Southwest NY it turned out to be a nice day, temps in the 70's and sunshine. Have a great evening.

Still cool in N. Va. In 50s where I live.

I've been here now 8 years (incl a previous residence here while in Marines) and this is by far the coldest late April and early May we've ever had. Usually, it's pushing summer weather by now.

Anyway, I love the weather as I have to do a lot of running around in the woods to keep up with the hound. She ran rabbits for 2 hours this evening, rousting up all the neighbors with her rabbit howls. One guy came over to complain.

BB rousted up a rabbit and the rabbit nearly ran into me. It's pretty wild when the hound is loose. Everyone knows it.

Well, hope to do some more layout work this weekend. Got all the track layed but having to add the wire in the center. Will take some soldering. Not in any rush.

Keeping entertained by all your posts.

Well another week is in the books.

Doug is older and wiser, we hope.

Tom has learned never to mess around with Big Jim’s kin folk.

The Chief is telling us that he has started his benchwork.

LAZ you were the winner of the go fishing with Buckeye contest. Please send me $1,000 so I can mail you your prize.

Pigseye Tim, did it really snow up your way this week?

Sack, re-read Spanky’s and Roy’s advice ten times. You better be able to walk and chew gum at the same time.

Poor Dr. John, the Chief told him to make me behave today. Guess that didn’t work to well.

Doug, as always I’m jealous. Just once I wish I could run my trains on that Balboa Park layout.

I agree with Tom, Jerry will have his bench work done before the Chief.

Jamestown Tom, how are the fish biting at Lake Chautauqua?

BB, I think you need to run faster and farther so the Dave gets a better workout.

Jon, do you give retirement lessons? I think I need some.

Have a good weekend and oh, yea, Chief, where ever you are be good.

Good Morning Buckeye! Thanks for listening the other morning. I just wi***he computer feed sounded as good as the real thing! It's delayed, un-processed, the commercial breaks are all replaced with other stuff....

Between the announcer unions and out chief engineer I could scream.

So why do we stream audio? Because the boss who doesn't even own a computer thought it would be a good idea...
