Something to lighten up your afternoon!

The Ferrari Effect

A lady walks into a Ferrari dealership and browses. Suddenly she spots the most perfect, beautiful car and walks over to inspect it. As she bends forward to feel the fine leather upholstery, she unexpectedly breaks wind.

Very embarrassed, she anxiously looks around to see if anyone has noticed and hopes a sales person doesn't pop up right now. But, as she turns back, there standing next to her is a salesman. With a pleasant smile he greets her, "Good day, Madame. How may we help you today?"

Trying to maintain an air of sophistication and acting as though nothing had happened, she smiles back and asks, "Sir, what is the price of this lovely vehicle?"
Still smiling pleasantly, he replies, "Madame, I'm very sorry to say that if you f**ted just touching it, you're gonna c**p when you hear the price."

Regards, Roy

Thanks SkyRay, got a couple of those. Thanks anyway. The number is from 2001 Lionel 6-21790. Dash 9 per 2001 Catalog. Did get three Gov't of Canada grain hopper cars that "Miss Edna" had. They are from 2001 she tinks. She's got three or four more that I will have to get. They were cheap and then she discounted them more as they had been there so long. She has just discounted the Union Pacific Gas Turbine with two units behind for only $300 [they are PS-1]. Think they originally sold for about $500+. She asked if Duda was happy with his engine. Had called Lionel about my CW80 [been acting up since Jan] and got a new one today [7 days later] by DHL. No questions asked. Ran all trains that were on tracks around the track when I got back from "Miss Edna's". Got truck serviced and tires rotated. Had to plug one tire. Found slow leak where something had gone it and back out. Now I can rest. Dr. John, severe thunderstorm watch for us [sky is clear now????] was just issued by weather alert radio. Guess your bad stuff is getting here. Just counted 6 males and 6 females, Cardinals at one bird feeder. [:D] Later all.

YES!!! Duda is tickled pink with her little choo-choo. Give her a kiss for me next time...

If she has any more I'll bet she'll sell them F-A-S-T!

Greg, I'd go [I'm a TCA member] but Tom and Buckeye will not let any planes with me in them, land in Ohio. Try to slip across the boarder and get blocked too. [}:)] You all ahve fun. I think our next one is during the last of April or first of May.

feeling pretty good. I officially declared victory over the 3-week flu and felt a good pump from doing some deadlifts and squat cleans after a jaunt in the woods with BB the beagle. Now for a tequilla and playing with my new digital camera and it'll be a great evening

Chief Eagles

The engine you are asking about is a Dash-9 with road number 2528. The set was sold in 2002. I do not know what number Lionel assigned to the engine as I am not in the train room right know. I will check for you tomorrow.

I was rewarded for my long day of work with seeing UPY 1361 respendent in Rio Grande orange parked along Main St. as I drove my daughter to dance class tonight - so I had to drop by the library computer to let you all know. Hope you have a great evening. If Dr. John has his new CTT, it must not be long in getting to Illinois! Good night to you all!

Thanks Trainman. One will show up for a decent price one day. Not so much interested in the set as I am the enigne. Think a CN lashed to my two NS's will look good and just like some photos I have stored in the computer of the real thing.

Tom, thanks for the bunny. Can always depend on you to "get us through" a holiday with smiles.

Dr. John, you got services tomorrow night? We do with communion.

Just modified that Lionel 42" 027 type switch. No crazy TMCC signals but do see some arcing occassionally. Not happy with the quality. Printed out instructions as referred to by Lionel Tech Support. Instructions had errors in them. HUMMM Engines are suppose to run through 42" curves. Will do but the engine scrapes the switch stand cover. Enough that I had to remove the cover like I have done all my switches to let the MTH's go through the 027 switches. Think Tom has it right with the K-Line low profile switches. Well, my siding is installed with off/on power switch. Now I can store the three big NS engines and shut them down and turn power off. Makes it easier to run other engines on outer loop. [:D] The floor layout does not look the same. Gotten bigger and more sidings. One good thing about floor layouts. Easy to change. [;)] Got to get started on the trainroom tables for layout.
Storms stay away. Good night and God bless all.

Hello All: Things sure took a turn for the worse up here, high winds, snow, freezing rain, the March Lion is still lingering. I'll back up a page, my Dad was A RCAF veteran from WW2, I Know what you mean about losing that era fast. They were a different breed, most of them grew up dirt poor, Dad had trains carved from wood that they made themselves. He always smiled & said an electric train wouldn't have done him any good, they never had power on the farm until the late thirties. He always talked about riding the trains to the training bases all over Canada & England. Can you imagine letting a trainload of these guys (18-25) lose on a small town. At night 2 or 3 would cram into a small trainer & go into town, land on a road, park the plane, walk into town, wet thier whistles & fly back. ( Can you Imagine doing that today). Unfortunately We lost Dad in 2004, He was doing mission work in Ecudaor, for HCJB radio & the Christian Missionary Alliance, he was 79 working like a 40 year old (as usual) it was his third trip in two years, straightened all the electrical on the station, in his tenth week he sat back closed his eyes & the good Lord took him home. I still have my original o27 layout board he put together for me when I was a Kid, I'm not sure if he enjoyed watching me operate it or when he took over the control. Strange thing the train was never in the same place I had parked it before going to bed, I guess we had a ghost playing with the trains.( I never once said a word to him about it ) sure do miss him. So if you people get the chance, Thank those guys I am sure they would be more than happy to tell you a tale about riding the rails while in the service. Kind Regards to all Steve

Good Morning All,

NE Ohio is still Cool with Light freezing rain, temp 33. Laz are you really sure spring has started. I thought if March came in like a Lion it would leave like a Lamb. It’s still roaring.

Ac4400fan – click on the link in the last posting I did for instruction on posting pics.

Chief – you should just bite the bullet and invest in new K-line switches.

Dr John – you already have your new CTT [?]. I hope mine doesn’t get lost again.

Good morning!

Nice weather down here in the deep south - Sunny and warm, definitely feels like spring.

Hi Chief! No, we are not having Good Friday services, we had communion as part of our Palm Sunday services.

My CTT arrived day before yesterday - very good issue! I like how they have updated the track plan article to show track placement on a separate schematic in addition to a track list.

Busy day today! Hospital visits, enlisting leaders for discipleship classes, planning a spring golf tournament, etc. Have a great day everyone!

Morning gang. Ah, he plays golf [Dr. John]. [;)] Sunny and warm. Off down east to Mom's [88] and take her out to eat. Eastern NC pork bar-be-que and fried chicken. Chased with sweet ice tea. [:D] Hey Jon, when you come to Wilmington, need to stop on the way at intersection of I 40 and Jones Sausage Rd. or I 40 and NC 42. Go to the Smithfield Chicken and Bar-be-que [one at each intersection] and order a combination fried chicken and pork bar-be-que. You will then move to eastern NC. [;)] Steve, thanks for sharing the thing on your Dad. I love to read stories like that. All have a great day and God bless all.

hoping my new CTT gets in mailbox today

had unusual experience drinking coffee this morning. A giant cockroach floated into my mouth from the cup. Guess I better clean up the coffee area better. Being a former Marine, I would have eaten it if there were no food to be found.

BTW, we just got warnings in Pentagon that expecting several hundred protestors tomorrow, some who might throw blood on us like they did in the past. Planning to wear my running shoes to dodge any missiles

Shouldn't you pair those running shoes with a rain coat just in case a few protesters throw better than you can run?

200 " of snow, holy moly batman. That is over 16' of snow. [wow]

Hope everyone is doing well.

More rain, but after the snow you guys are talking 90+ " my little 25 inches is nothing. Other than house sliding down the cliffs.

Happy Passion Thursday to all, btw we don't have Easter break anymore. Spring Break is the school name. OK to reference holiday time to topless girls and drunk guys, but not God. Don't understand that. It is always Easter and Christmas to me.

Hey, I am top of new page, coffee and smoothies on my tab. Order up folks.
