NAA NAAA NAA NAA. Got al the trees with blocks nailed on with 2X4's and 60d nails. Tired. Saw a big bass come up in the shallows and swallow a fish [bream porbably], turtles on the logs and a muskrat swam by. He was lucky. Just as I clicked the safety off of the 9mm, he went under. I go armed everytime I go down there. Found two Mexicans dead, yesterday, in a car up the street and just out of town limits. Cell phone guy was checking antena and walked up to the car. Man and woman were shot. GA plates. Hope to put the Chirstmas trees in the lake tomorrow. Suppose to be cooler [50's]. Sure was nice to be in shirt sleves all day [eat your hearts out YANKS]. [:D] Off to Town Board meeting. God bless you all.

Sounds like Chief has way to interesting live stile for me. We had a small snow storm come thru, drop 2 to 3” in 3 hours, just at rush hour for the trip home.

Laz – I used to love shop classes. I was heading into Tool and Die Design, so Machine Shop and Drafting were for me, not to mentioned Math.

Dave – glad we could help you some.

What a day and it's ending up OK. Shortly after I got home from the Board of Supervisors meeting re: new regional airport I got a call from my wife in tears. She had just been t-boned at an intersection, another lady ran a red light, not even close. Fotunately it was downtown so the speeds were fairly low, hit my wife directly in the drivers door. The good news is no broken bones or cuts, Thank God. Ambulance crew and ER folks were fabulous, we are very fortunate tonight. And yup, you guessed it, the other driver has no insurance. Got to bring her home and she is feeling pretty good but I would suspect by mid night that she will be uncomfortable but we did get meds for that. Other driver refused medical treatment, both cars were totaled.

Things like this really put life into perspective. It's going to be a good night.

Jon, glad wife is OK. Sorry the car is totaled. Reminds me of a thing a Yankee told me. Yankees number one industry is turning vehicles into rusted junk metal. [:D] Wow, turned cold here. Now the DA weatherperson is saying sleet and snow late tomorrow night and Thursday AM, but not suppose to get below freezing. Better not as I have an early flight Thursday AM.

Hey Scratch, had hoped to get the trees in the pond tomorrow. Got to get seeds started in greenhouse [they finally got here from Burpee] so I will have all the good veggies this spring and summer. We can plant by the second week in April here. Then got to pack for Bass Pro Shops in Memphis. Back Sunday night late but next is a short one as back out Thursday for another BPS. You are welcome to keep all the SNOWHIO up your way. Time for sunny warm weather here. Good night all and God bless.

Well the wet coast is checking in. I am taking a break from watching rain, rain and more rain. We had so much rain this weekend, I had a 5 foot wide waterfall off my patio roof. The backyard was about 5 inches deep in water with more coming. So I spent the weekend digging a trench to drain the yard. Then a lot of time keeping it clear. Now I have mushy backyard, but at least not a pond in the making. No chief, no fish yet, but I am looking.

We also have a dam that crested, it looks incredible. Accidents are about quadruple normal.

We are 15 inches over normal, with more coming. Would be fun to play trains, instead of water manager.

Take care all,

Tim

Jon, glad to hear your wife was okay. She will be sore for sometime.

Chief, have you ever thought of moving north where it is much quieter or to Texas? I don't think anyont has been killed here all week and I haven't seen a muskrat for years in my yard.

Think the Yanks are foiled again. Low last night was 49. To be in 60's with sun all day. Now they are saying cold rain. Might do trees in pond today or may wait. Chest is sore from lifting and nailing. Got seeds in from Burpee and need to get them started in greenhouse. Got to pack as early flight out to Memphis Bass Pro tomorrow AM. God bless all.

Jon,

Glad to hear all is OK. Keep a close eye on her, whiplash effects do not typically show until 3 days or so after an accident. Don't let your insurance co talk you into anything regarding medical treatment. Sometimes they ask you to sign off that you are OK on the 1st or 2nd day and then the pain sets in after. They know about the 3rd day effect.

Expo - let us know how the show goes.

Got about 1.3 in of rain last night. Heading to the east and supposed to be in 50's/60's for next several days. Possibility of a bit more rain tomorrow.

Have a great day all!

Yaw Hoo the sun is out. Forgot what that was like. We have had rain for 7 straight days. It rained all night, but my trenches worked. Backyard has just a little water, the rest ran out of the yard. My fence blue down, but that is it.

Spanky, I have garden train but no layout. Good thing, it would have washed away.

Sink holes all over town. There is a huge one in Escondido town. It is over 20 feet across, and the whole neighborhood is evacuated. Many houses on cliffs have lost hillside, I even saw a whole pool in LA break away and go down the mountain.

The dam has crested at Lake Hodges, incredible site. Down by the train museum, another tree fell over the freeway. No one hit it and died this time. Rumor has it sunshine today, more rain tomorrow.

Take care all,

Tim

Good mornin from the Okiefenokie Swamp West. [(-D]
All this rain is absolutely unreal. So far the hill behind us hasn't shown any signs of movement and don't expect any since there is no development on it. Our only real concern is the trees, if it gets windy, and some of the boulders sitting up there.
Tim, I put in a lot of drainage after the big rains of 93, glad I did because some of my neighbors are having water intrusion problems. [|(]

Say, Chief, this trip to Memphis wouldn't have anything to do with the Midsouth Fairgrounds (Central & East Parkway South) hosting the Great American Toy, Train & Hobby Show on Saturday and Sunday would it?

The basic song is (Blues in the Night) sung by Ella Fitzgerard and was sung from the female point of view.

*****************************************************************************

My mama done tol' me, when I was in pig tails
My mama done tol' me, " Child a man'll sweet talk"
And
give ya the big eye, but when the sweet talkin's done
A man is a two-face, A worrisome thing who'll
leave ya to sing the blues in the night

Now the rain's a-fallin', hear the train's a-callin,
"Whooee!"
(My mama done tol' me) Hear dat lonesome whistle blowin' 'cross the trestle, "Whooee!"
(My
mama done tol' me) A-whooee-ah-whooee ol' clickety-clack's a-echoin' back th' blues in the night
The
evenin' breeze'll start the trees to cryin' and the moon'll hide its light when you get the blues in
the night
Take my word, the mockingbird'll sing the saddest kind o' song, he knows things are wrong,
and he's right

From Natchez to Mobile, from Memphis to St. Joe, wherever the four winds blow
I been
in some big towns an' heard me some big talk, but there is one thing I know
A man is a two-face, a
worrisome thing who'll leave ya to sing the blues in the night
