TurboOne, negative on the pics of stone mountain, that's too close to the big city and fairly crowded on a nice weekend. I've only been there three times, twice for manditory company outings, when I had a real job, and once with the granddaughters, only had 2 at that time. The train ride around the mountain is worth the wait in line. Sometimes they have, I think it was, an American on lead, though it is a dummy controlling the diesel.

Good Morning All,

NE Ohio is at 28 deg and going for 52 today and once again we have

BLUE CLEAR SKIES

Yesterday was so nice the neighbors insisted that we get our car washed, they were tired of see the deer walking up our driveway and licking the side of the car.

Laz – I love your new hat.

Buckeye – We have the meeting notes, but you have to bring the oil.

All be safe

tom

Got to wa***hat YANKEE salt off Pam's car. Got on there the other day when they called for more SNOWHIO and it did not come. Will be flying over Columbus Thursday. Well hello all!

Just back from Colorado and skiing at Breckenridge. We had a great time, the snow was great, the food was great, and thus my weight is also greater (makes you go faster down the hill!). Only got bit by the snow snakes once in 3 days of hitting the slopes.

It looks like it could takes a while to catch up on the coffee!

I leave town again this coming week (Tues through Fri) as a chaperone for my sons 5th grade class trip to a remote nature camp on Possum Kingdom Lake (who knows - might get to drop a hook if time permits).

Raining here but supposed to stop tomorrow and be nice (60's) the rest of this week.

Have a great day all!
Roy

Pushing 60F here this afternoon. Cranked up the chainsaw, lucky to have one sharp chain out of four, and cut back some trees and privet (sp?) that drooped over the driveway when loaded with ice. Now all I have to do is get the ambition to pick up the pieces.

Took a few min. to wire the lights for a building I just put onto the layout. While there the Mrs. came in and harped, again, about having the city where it isn't too easy to see and that it should have been on the opposite side of the layout, now a river canyon. Should I take this as an ok to do demolition and start over? [;)]

Chief,

Right. We did this a bit later in life than most. He is the youngest (11) of two. We are also dealing with the thrills of junior high with my 13 year old daughter.

I need a cowboy hat! Or one like Laz... A grey Super Bowl Sunday here - hope to putter around the layout with it on the radio. Roy, I feel your pain... I have a 14 year old girl and an 11 year old boy - and a 2 year old too. I'm too old for all this but it is certainly an exciting life. The new dog just bit me when I was going to help him into his crate - dang.

good morning, or afternoon.

Chilly again in SW Florida, no time for even thinking about my layout - seriously stressed out with non-stop work.

Sunday photos were my fix for this week.

I want to hear a report from the Greater Cleveland Forum Gathering. Just finished doing my federal and state taxes. Ouch. Though the software does make it so much easier...

Hope y'all are enjoying the Super Bowl festivities; I'm taking a break during half-time - not a bad game, if a bit sloppy.

Hi guys,
There's not much traintime going on in Holland lately.. The garage needed cleaning and I took out half a ton of rubbi***o get space for the motorbikes. Here it's about spring outside. We have high temperatures and the plants in the garden start to grow again. I need to plant some bushes and remove dead plants from the garden. I got a small Faller train with plastic track which I want to put in the garden, so I can run trains outside too. But first get rid of the winter stuff and the dead plants and leaves.
Trains will have to wait 'till the weather get's worse and I'll be forced inside the house again..
Hope you all have a good time,
daan.

can always count on spanky for an early morning train fix.

Thanks for the photo!

I have been w*rking none stop since 5:00 last night, and now I have a full day ahead of me before I can grab a nap (sometime this afternoon).

I guess it's better than sitting here twiddling my thumbs, but sheeeesh, this is sick.

BTW - Feels a bit brisk out there this morning.

Tom,

You ought to use your layout as a movie set. Get a video camera and some editing equipment. Then write a short script for a story. Then film the train and some people moving around. If you want to get fancy, you can detach people's arms and legs and stick pins to connect them, then when shooting the film, make a series of still images, with the legs and arms moving slightly, then put it all together. That's how they made the Gumby and Pokey animations. The Spankybird can oversee the process from its director's chair.

Morning all. Sunny and warm. Low was 41 last night. Will probably be outside working today. Greenhouse was running exhaust fan yesterday and I'm sure today. Everything has budded out or blooming in greenhouse. Means the sun has changed angle and days are longer. Trains may have to rest some now. Ran them a lot yesterday PM. Have a good one and God bless all.

Hello Pat ! Sorry to hear of your layoff. Hopefully you have enough$$$$ to last until you're able to find another job elsewhere. On a bright note I picked up my 1688 on friday night fresh from its restoration and it looks very sharp and runs like a top! I'm very pleased with it. Now to find some of the tin lith 1600 series freight cars in excellent condition to go with it..............Keith

I hope it is a layoff with callback, Pat, instead of something more permanent - and like Keith, I hope you have the resources to last until you go back. I think you live somewhere in my state....
