Morning all. Inbound train very late today due to 'signaling problems' and my personal favorite 'waiting on other trains' - this at 5 am with nothing else on the line. Ah well.  Unexpectedly snowed last evening and I went out to clear it for the dog and driveway with 10 minutes left in the 4th and still made the final few minutes.  Where was Roger Staubach filmed during that Constitution reading with all those trains?

Morning all

Wet and 40F in Southern Ohio.  I am off today and resting up from driving all over Saturday and Sunday.  Got to see the last quarter of the bowl game.  Great game no losers, just one with more points.

I hope to get some wiring done in the garage addition today and there is always chapters to read for class.  I have to do a paper on the impact the Catholic church had during the cold war period.

We are working out of two laptops, one with Vista and the other with Windows XP.  Jury is still out in my opinion, but it works well, I am the one with operational difficulties.

Chief- You are right, come Christmas that boy will have some American Flyer to go around the tree.

Mornin' Fellas.

Just a quick hello and I'm off to get my paper written for school.

Updated the photos on the construction thread.

FiL stopped out last night for the game and was really impressed with the layout and the progress. Said he can't wait to see it in opperation - hopefully in the next week or so it will be back in opperation.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a damp  38 degrees. Rained last night. Actually sleet. Going up to 58 today with some more rain later. Weather is crazy.

Today, I have a lot of errands to run. Going up to Cambridge on business and the into Caldwell for some shopping. Busy day. Doesn't look like I will get any train time in. Worked on layout yesterday, for a few hours. Ran trains. Had some fun.

Dining car is here and it's time for breakfast. Later.

Y'all have a great Monday.

Good evening all,

It has been somewhat warmer this weekend with temps in the 40s.  Ran the 384E on the back porch Saturday, and finished the book on the Indiana Rail Road which I purchased recently.  We watched the game Sunday and the commercials were good.  I will catch up on the other posts later on.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

fife, Looks like you made out pretty good at the show, save anything for York?

Roy, 77 Sounds pretty good, although it wasn't bad here today.  45 and sunny.

We have had a rather mild winter so far, grass is still pretty green and some of the Spring bulbs are starting to show in sheltered areas.

Sure is a low scoring Superbowl so far.

Evenin' Fellas...

Fife - been working OT? Nice haul!

Can't remember anything else... bad memory...

Lots of construction this weekend. Missed the show yesterday, oh well... probably for the best. Stopped at Home Despot on Friday and picked up the ceiling tiles and contact cement. Got about 1/3 the lower level tiled and cemented. Man that stuff STINKS! Can't do another section till I have all the ceiling tiles cut and fitted, then I'll do the rest of the lower level at one time. Installed some carpet padding Susan's cousin gave me, makes doing large areas quick, have to see if I can get some more... maybe stop tomorrow?

Will post pics tomorrow.

Great weather here, if you are a Duck. Raining all day so far, 50* and windy.

No choochoo's today, watchin' the game and enjoying a few of the commercials but some are just plain stupid, IMHO. Grumpy [|(]

Happy B-Day [bday] dan!

Good afternoon - had a long talk with daughter. Brings back my own teen years. Long day already with work at church and some online courses finishing up. Hope to run trains later before the big game. Thought of John too when browsing the Jersey Central items in the new catalog.  Making chili too ;0

Fife, that's quite a haul!

Good morning, folks.

A little rain here in the desert.  Pleasant and partially sunny.  A great day to spend with the family and my wife is great about celebrating the superbowl.

Off to celebrate my birthday at a local casino--they're giving me a free hat or shirt for my birthday--otherwise, won't spend a cent in there unless we decide to get a coffee of some lunch.  I did bet a token amount on the superbowl--but the best bet is usually the one not placed.  My best bet is takng the "recreation money" some spend at the casino and buy train stuff.  I tend to look at a casino as a black hole for my wallet. The coupons they give for free buffets, etc are worth darkening their door, though.

I am really bad at keeping up to date with the coffee pot, so my thoughts and prayers to those of you in need of support, congratulations to those of you with good news,  and have a great week.

Afternoon all!

Don - 2009 eh? - that'll keep the TCA thinking....Wink [;)]

Gonna be 77 today? Sunny and a biot humid. Then lower 70's for next few days and maybe a little rain. Rain - we need it again - we are already 60% behind for the last 3 months - after a record year in '07.

Sir James - that was too bad on the poster you were trying to help.

Well hope the Super Bowl is a good one this evening. Sometimes they get so lopsided there was almost no point in the game.

Have a great day all!

Regards, Roy

Good morning all, Lots going on today! Starting off with rain this morning. Kinda expected that, got all the work done in the back yard yesterday. (Update on son and gf's traffic accident, her car was totaled, her parents replacing it with a LEXUS, but no one hurt). I'm happy!

Hope to have time for Super Bowl, I want to see how many more power drops I can get done today. Had some friends over, and the Dad and 16 yr old ran some trains for awhile. They had a ball. I need to get the power better distributed. Wasn't an issue until the smoke units were all turned on.

Going to see about getting KIDS club activity going at our clubs meeting on Wednesday, so need to get stuff ready for that.

Talked w/Roy last night briefly, nice to have friends all over the place. Even in GB. BTW Roy, It seems you are right!!!

Got my York package in the mail yesterday, filled it out and changed the dates for 2009, think they will accept it, and hold a spot??

Well, better get going and get to work. You all have a great day, hope its a good game.

Chief your right about one thing and that is the direction of the wind, but YOU need to face west, not east when you are having those explosive urges. Then the problem will be gone. Just remember to get them "s'spenders" tied on a fence, branch or something before you let er go. Or you may end up in Texas. BTW the Chili is only 3 maybe 4 alarm stuff.

Got a new Texas Lucy's opening in the neighborhood, YAHOO!!
