Well good evening, another fine twofer from dabossman and Nick Great Dome, I think I actually prefer them in that paint schemem than the original Millwaukee Road ( he ducks )
Here's one for tonight.
Another oddball RS18 this one painted for CN's tempo trains
enjoy
Rob
So-how does one define a classic..?-here is a classic Great Western pannier tank departing Ashburton for Totnes on the South Devon Railway, june `07

Lets see another one to keep the "bakers dozen " page going
CNR FA2 at the Ottawa Tech Museum.
Ooh love that RS18. the bossman knows how to flick my switch More glossy than I had ever seen one in real life ,mind you any I saw were in Barricade stripes and at the end of their operational lives. But still those 251's would howel and dig in with the plate steel trains going out to the Port Weller drydocks I'm not sure but that one diesel hydrolic at the South Simcoe may be the only one left of those little critters.
A Goderich and Exeter GP at Stratford Ontario
Good Morning All: More good Canadian material. Diesel hydraulic is a rare one.
<sweet> lil' switcher from Rob!
Here's one for this day . . .
CN #3684 RS-18 <built in 1958 by Montreal Locomotive Works> <personal foto from ExpoRail>
I see we are Norther Alco approved around here which is always a good thing Great follow on shot by the bossman as well, nice car. Looks to have been wonderfully restored and maintained. Lets see what do I have in the bag of tricks for this evening.
Something of the unusual. One of teh EX CP deisel hydrolics built by CLC for branchline use in teh 1950's. This one still runs and offsets the little CNR mogels that usually pull the South Simcoe's tourist trains in Ontario. They kept the CPR colours and number on this little switcher.
There's only ONE foto like that great CN Transcontinental - would be really amazing to find an equal! Good to see ya both, Rob 'n Shane!
One for Wednesday . . .
St. Louis Waterworks Railway double-ended interurban #10 <built in 1914 by St. Louis Car Co.> <personal foto taken at the StL Museum of Transportation - Kirkwood, MO>

An S13 of the OSR waiting to be repianted to it's new colours. Still seen in this shot in it's original Greater Winnipeg Water District paint job.
Hey there again folks.Seems this threads still got some legs Glad that Shane's enjoying the Alco's,what's not to enjoy about them really though.Great Super Con shot Tom,I've always liked that one.Lets see one more for the road.
Another Alco from the Ottawa Central family of Short Lines.
Appears that my call for support shook a few of our bar flies loose! <grin> Thanx Nick - Rob 'n Shane for dropping in . . . Special mention to Nick for his "quad display" 'n Rob for some super-fine shots too!
