Morning all.  Sorry that I've been away for a while.  Work's kept me pretty tied up and then early this morning my month was ruined.  My black cat, Ace, who would've been 21 this fall passed away around 5:30 AM CST.  I'll be wandering around aimlessly for a couple of days so if you can leave a plate of cookies and a glass of milk near the door, I'd appreciate it.  Off to cry again...

We have partly cloudy skys here and a temp of 38 degrees. It's supposed to get up to 71 later this afternoon. All the snow we got in last week's storm is now gone. The rest of this week here will not be quite as nice as what it will be today. It had gotten into the mid 60's yesterday and I was busy giving my house a thorough cleaning. I should have taken advantage of the nice weather to clean all my windows. I have an appointment this morning for a house appraisal, I am re-financing my home mortgage in order to pay off some credit card debt. I'm going to have to sit down and talk with my bank's loan officer, as I don't think I need the entire $16,000.00 that she wants to loan me, although I could use a couple thousand to remodel my kitchen.

....Nothing but sunshine now....36.5 degrees and sunshine forecast for this week {possible chance of a bit of rain Wed.}, and warming temps as the week unfolds.  Sounds much better.  Maybe the massive system is going to move on out to the Atlantic....Sure hope so.

Wish a good week to all....We didn't get any back lash from the nor' easterner as we're out west too far....

Willy - Glad your show went well.  I was never involved in any sort of musical in HS - the Drama Club didn't get along too well with the choir director (we even lampooned her during "The Crucible").  Helped out with one of my kids musicals years later....

Speaking of sleeping in - a two hour delay at work (so far) and some schools have already given up for the day.   Got up long enough to eat breakfast and find out about the delay - back to bed!

Good Monday morning, all.  Guess it's a good morning:  I'm not quite awake yet, still Sleepy [|)]  guess I'll wake up totally after awhile.

Coffee is ready, fresh juice is made, and there's hot chocolate, hot cider and hot tea available.

Willy, glad the play went well for you all!

Emma, don't really care for rhubarb; but, do you have any strawberry plants in your garden?

All the regular breakfast menu items are on the warmer bar, ready and waitin', so mosey on over, and fix your plates.

Everyone have a great day!!

This was the final day of the spring musical at school. Our production this spring was "Aida" and I have to admit it was probably the best of the four musicals I've been a part of since I started high school. We had two performances today, one at 2PM and another at 7PM. The one at 2 had a few minor errors, but the 7 o'clock show was fantastic.

Anyway, even though I enjoy the musicals, I'm glad this one is over. Now I can actually sleep late on weekends again.

Hope everyone has a good week.

Yummy food CW. I especially like the garlic bread and parmasean bread sticks.

I was out in the garden today planting some summer bulbs and annuals and I noticed that my rhubarb is getting quite tall.  I will have to bring some fresh rhubarb cake into the diner next week.  I might even be able to make some for dessert for lunch on Friday. Have a good Monday everyone(haha my spring break is over so i don't think it will be such a great monday for me.)Oh well.  I think i'm Gonna go get a second helping of food now.

//comes dragging in the door

Well, we had a beautiful day here today, sunny and temps in the 60's.  Too bad I couldn't enjoy it too much- spent the whole afternoon/evening working on a plumbing repair project in our master bath.  End result- we now have a shower enclosure the size of a standard tub (but without the tub walls), and IT DOESN'T LEAK.  And I've learned how to work with pex plumbing; neat stuff.

Rain changing over to snow as I speak.  Let's see if we see the foot they're forecasting.  I could use an extra day off work.....

Good Sunday morning, everyone.  Even though it's cold out, and could possibly see some snow here today, it's still a good morning.

Emma, thanks for bringing in the fresh eggs!!  Lance, thanks for putting the coffee on, and for bringing in doughnuts for breakfast.  Joe, thanks for making the juice!  I've got three very good helpers in here this morning!!

I have fixed some western omelletes, and they are on the warmer bar, in case anyone doesn't want any doughnuts.

Does anyone have any requests for Sunday Dinner today?  If so, please get your request in, in the next two hours, so I can get cooking.

Thanks for all the kind congradulations on my acceptance to Princeton.

I will take some of that Supreme pizza. Does it have anchovies on it? If not I might just have to sneak some on there next Saturday. There is one way i know it is spring. Well actually two. First the daffodills are blooming and I have eight dozen eggs in my refridge. So tomorrow morning you can add omlets and eggs in any form you want to the menu and there will be a big vase of daffs on the table for every one to look at. I'll even bring in some of the nice fragrant ones. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

//grabs three big slices of supreme

What bad weather?  Partly cloudy here today with virtually no wind.  52 degrees, and you have to search really hard to find any of the snow left from Wednesday's storm.

Sacto, it does my heart good to see that you're getting some adverse weather for a change!Big Smile [:D]
