Good Wednesday morning, everyone!  Mookie, breakfast is on it's way, got fresh coffee brewing, hot tea, and fresh juice is ready.

On the warmer bar:  turkey bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and in the cooler you'll find:  fresh cantaloupe chunks, pineapple chunks, mango.

Whistling [:-^]  "It's a beautiful day in the neighbornood" - thanks Willy!

If I had a piano, singing would be better!

Will patiently wait (not) for someone to make breakfast.  Dinner [dinner]

Then off to do some work - yes I do work occasionally - papers to mess up, drink glasses to stick my face in, corners to inspect and hammock to check out.

Okey dokey, folks, supper is now on the warmer bar.  Along with the grilled chicken, you have:  corn on the cob, garden salad, your choice of mashed taters w/gravy or tater tots, peas and carrots.

Got plenty of desserts left from the lunch menu, that are in the pie cooler, and the chocolate cake is on the counter.

I've also made some fresh iced tea (sweetened & unsweetened), and have all the sodas that are normally in the fridge.  By this weekend, I may even make some lemonade.

Everyone have a good evening!!Smile [:)]

Good Tuesday morning, everyone.  I finally made it in here.  Just didn't feel like stopping in this morning, before Produce.  I let everyone know, this morning, that I'm no longer taking phone calls on Monday afternoons, and will no longer answer the door on Tuesday mornings.  I will just go over at 9 a.m. on Tuesday mornings, and start signing people in then.

Mookie and Ray, thank you both so very much for taking care of things this morning!  You don't know how much I appreciate it!!

For lunch today, we will have:  burgers w/sauteed onions (so no one has stinky onion breath), fries, garden salad, and for dessert, chocolate cake, blackberry cobbler, blueberry pie, and cherry pie.

Getting ready to go to Kroger, and get chicken breasts to grill for supper tonight.  Will also have mashed taters w/gravy, corn, peas and carrots.

Hope everyone has a good afternoon, and take care!  I'm also remembering and praying for everyone suffering from the shootings yesterday.  Sad [:(]

My prayers and heart go out to VA.  No single answer can bring anyone back but I hope there's some kind of closure for those involved and affected.  I'll try the coffee (first time in my life)...not too bad.  I'll sit a spell and then it's off to work again.

Little somber throughout the diner and the nation....

I made some coffee - just ignore the grounds on the floor, cabinet, sink, wall....and the fact that the coffee looks a little light?  Wonder what went wrong.  Ever taste raw coffee....Ugh!

OJ out - well - sort of.  The pitcher fell in the sink and ...... I salvaged what I could of it!  Tastes kind of watery - but it is still orange!  Smile [:)]

I think I will let someone else do the rest....

Walt I think that Ace would love to take another under her paw to train in the art of string chasing.  She always had fun with other cats.  Good fish and Mac 'n Cheese!  Thanks for cooking Emma!

Emma, thank you for fixing supper tonight.  Just wish I felt like eating.  Maybe I'll try some beans, carrots and salad.  Know I need to eat something.  Beginning to get a headache, so know I need to eat something, so I can take my medicine.

As Mutt said, thank you everyone, for your kind words.

ALL, Thank You for all the  words of condolences; they are appreciated VERY MUCH.

Dan, I imagine that Sammy is "chasing the string" also, but do you think Ace could teach him how to Catch Mice?! (other than Catnip ones!)

My condolences Dan, Mutt and CW. This seems to be happening to a lot of people right now. I have an old hen that has hypertension and another one that is looks gloomy and won't move, that I don't think will last out the week.Sad [:(] But they have been happy and pampered their entire lives so I guess they were better off than most chickens. It is always hard when a pet you have had for a long time dies. Maybe we can have a pet memorial service later this week and everyone can post their favorite pictures of their departed friends.

On a brighter note I think I'll try the fish sticks. I have never had fish sticks so this will be a first time experience for me.  And diddo on blhanel's comment on the M&C, I think I will have my fish out on the porch away from it.

CW- Don't worry about dinner, it is on me tonight.

Hmm, lets see- here's an odd menu for everyone to choose from

ravioli- cheese, meat and vegie

lasanga

and spagetti for Joe

oh and Fish sticks (just realized I have never eaten or made fish sticks before, well I hope all of you like my beginners fish sticks then).

and the M&C for those who fancy it

plus

biscuts

green salad

green beans

carrots

Dessert- cherry pie, shortbread cookies

a little day-brightener before I head trackside:

Do you know they issue Mudchickens cell phones and they teach them how to use them?  The wonderment is, they don't even have any finners, let alone an opposable thumb!  I have seen it all now!

Dan, CW, and Mutt: Very sorry to hear about the loss of your pets. I can especially relate to Dan. About seven years ago our 21 year old cat passed away. My mom was so sad that she couldn't even stand the thought of getting another cat until a couple of years later.

Condolences on the pet losses, Dan and Mutt/CW.

I'll put in an order for the fish sticks, but not the M&C.  Sorry, but that stuff makes me nauseous.

Mac & Cheese made with some good extra sharp cheddar!!!!!!!  I'm in!

And on the somber side - condolences.  I know I'm looking at the loss of my older dog sooner rather than later.  She'll be 14 this year, and survived being hit by a car a couple of years ago.

Well, I've finally gotten lunch on the warmer bar:  leftover spaghetti w/meatballs, lasagna, and garlic bread and garlic & parmesean cheese bread sticks; salads are in the cooler, and for dessert, chocolate cake, apple pie and ice cream.

Does anyone have any requests for supper/dinner menu tonight?

Dan, so very sorry to hear about your loss.  We experienced the same yesterday.  Our beloved cat, Sammy Joe, passed on to that Rainbow Bridge in the sky.  Mutt was holding him, and Sammy had a seizure in his arms, and was gone.  We're still crying, also.  I always get confused as to old Sammy was:  I think he was sixteen, going on seventeen next month.  You have our utmost condolences.

....Long time pets become genuine family members.  A real loss when they pass on.  We've experienced it with two little doxie dogs {miniatures}, over a span of 33 years.  Last one left 11 years ago and I still "watch" I don't tramp on her lunch bowl at the edge of the cabinets in the kitchen. {Of course it's not there, but I'm thinking it is, and I must watch out for it.....}.
