Bob, of course the cornbread is baked in a cast iron skillet: no other way to get great tasting cornbread!!
Joe and Lance, have containers fixed for both of you, for work tonight. You each have a little bit of all three menu items for today. Hope you both enjoy your supper!
And for everyone else, the next round is set up on the warmer bar. Just fill your plates, and head on out to the patio, or up on the deck. I am sure the view up on the deck is even more spectacular this evening, for train watching!! And I will make sure that the CD player is playing train songs and sounds, that can be heard from either the deck or the patio!!
will take a plate for work please.sounds great.need to go help matt water the flowers.
stay safe

I did include my transport decision in my care plan - but it took my instructor (and the 'patient') pointing that out to get me credit for it.It gripes me that we have to change how we do things in order to pass the test. OK, off the soapbox.

Got to agree with you on the "state thing", when I was certified, it was in both

It's one thing to forget a step (that you would have done, but forgot to "verbalize"), it's another entirely to do a step, but not get credit for it. My biggest gripe about the whole process is that it is nothing like how we do business every day. A good f'rinstance would be throwing a switch - you know all the steps, and do them, but because you didn't say, out loud, that you unlocked it before you threw it, you don't get credit for that step, and maybe even failed the test as a result.Spent Sunday cleaning up around the fire station for our anniversary events next week. Mom's in AZ, so no dinner with her.So it's back to the grind - might as well start with the usual bearclaw and Constant Comment tea.Willy, congrats again on getting your permit to drive. I'd like to Echo Joe's sentiment about using a Cell Phone when driving; DON'T!!

No problem there. I don't even own a cell phone, so I don't have to worry about being tempted to talk on one while driving. Some of my friends say they pity me, but I think it's for the better that I don't have one.
On today's lunch/supper menu, we will have:
1. tuna noodle casserole2. hamburgers/cheeseburgers w/choice of fries or onion rings3. beef stew w/cornbread
Everyone have a good afternoon, and take care.

Larry,
Have those "Instructors" (?) actually been on the street? Most of the time; you don't have time to "verbalize" anything.
When I went through my EMT class many, many years ago; our instructor kept mentioning the knowledge that we would get from our Textbook, but right before graduation, he told us we might as well throw the thing away, because what we learned on the street was a whole different story.
(and it sure was!!!!)
morning
I see paw prints.had to go to the store this morning afterwork.Willy congrats on your permit.Like has been said before its a big step and a big responsibility. I'm sure you will do ok. just do me a favor only use a cell phone for emergencies only or if you are off the road.
Good Monday morning, everyone! Looks like another beautiful day today! I just hope the people in Florida, get some rain, that will put out those wild fires!!

My mom says I'm doing excellent, so I guess I'll continue driving and going farther and farther. Congrats to you Willie. At times on TV, tornado chasers are shown doing their thing. Do you have thoughts about trying this some day? I understand it takes a lot of knowledge to figure out where the storms might appear. The young men certainly are commited.

I probably will try some storm chasing at some point or another, but not until I'm more knowledgeable about weather. I might know quite a bit now, but there is much more that I need to learn before I should try storm/tornado chasing. It is one of my goals to see at least one tornado on a storm chase though.
By the way... I like the thunderstorm and lightning bolt!

Yup, the start of another work week. I hope everyone has a safe week. Thanks for the plate CW.
Well, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to ALL TheMoms out there!! Hope all had a great one.
Nightrain (Duff) especially for you since it's your first.
Willy Just continue to well in your schooling, and the driving.
When I started driving years ago, my Mom was my best friend when she needed
to go somewhere, and my Dad was my worst critic!!
(and now after driving thousands of miles over the years, both private, military
& emergency vehicles I'm quite critical when I'm on the "passenger" side;
"What goes arond, comes around"?!)
Just remember when you're driving, it gives you more responsibility, but also
remember to be just as Responsible when you're behind the wheel.
Larry, hope the recerts went well, they were always a pain for me.
I hope all of the mom's had a great Mother's Day. I know my mom and grandma did!
This week will be the last full week of school. Next week will feature two full days of school and three exam days. Then it will be summer at last!
Joe, got your plate, ready and waiting in the cooler. Also have one for Lance, if he's working tonight.
Just took some more meats off the grill, and put them on the warmer bar. Refreshed the side dishes, also. So everything's ready for everyone to start digging in to eat and sit out on the patio, or in the garden, and watch the trains as they go by. Seems to be quite a few running around here, this afternoon. Great trainwatching time!!
afternoon.helped mamma on mothers day and got some trainwatching in too. Cw will take a plate for work tonight please.
matts one tired little camper now.
Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms out there!
Good Sunday morning!! Sure is a beautiful, very cool morning here in Louisville. We got down to the mid to upper 50s overnight, and tonight's projected low will be around 57 in the morning. I hope everyone has temps like that today.
Coffee is on, juice freshly made, and there's hot tea and hot chocolate available.
On the warmer bar, you'll find pancakes, sausage, doughnuts, and muffins.
Sunday Dinner will be served around 2, and we will grill out on the patio. T-bones, pork chops, chicken quarters, chicken breasts, grilled corn on the cob, baked potatoes, hot dogs, brats; sides will include: "smashed" taters, potato salad, baked beans, tossed salad, cole slaw, green beans, and just about any other veggie you want.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL THE MOMS ON THE FORUMS!!
Railfan1 wrote:Had a good day railfanning. Saw 17 trains plus 11 locomotives hanging out in the Gainesville yards. Had an amazing thunder and lighthing show while watching trains, needless to say, I got some pretty cool video. I don't know how to upload it to the net or I would.
Hopefully you got alot of rain with that, and it's headed down to put out the wildfires.
I'll take a couple of slices of supreme, even though I'm stuffed after hitting the Olive Garden tonight. Joanie had a great birthday today, and her knee isn't bothering her as bad either.
Another busy day tomorrow, so I better hit the hay...

Good evening, everyone. I apologize for being late getting the pizzas ready. Mutt and I have spent the afternoon, and early evening, working in the front yard, trimming, and sweeping up. (Royal pain in our backs and backsides!!)
On the pizza menu tonight:
1. Canadian bacon; 2. Cheese; 3. Goetta; 4. Hawaiian; 5. Pepperoni/Sausage/Mushroom; 6. Supreme; 7. Anchovie.
Once again, I'm sorry about being so late getting our SATURDAY NIGHT PIZZA FEST underway.
