Dan, Joe, and everyone, there are leftovers from Sunday Dinner on the warmer bar:  roast, taters, carrots, cole slaw, brussels sprouts, corn on the cob, and for dessert:  chocolate cake, cherry & strawberry cheesecake, and chocolate, vanilla and peach ice cream.  Plus the leftover wedding cake Dan brought back.

Joe and Lance, got containers ready in the fridge, for you two for work tonight.

Joe, our Ky. State Fair starts Thursday, and runs to August 26th, so I know county and state fairs are going on all over the country right now.

Everyone have a good evening, and keep cool!!

Apparently I'm the only one in here since this morning.  I guess I'll root around and find some dessert to snack on.  Maybe something chocolate or a pie or...hmmm.....

Had a great weekend at the wedding in MI.  I even got to sneak some railfanning in on the way home "Well honey, it is on the way and we never get up here!"  I got some neat depot shots, an old semaphore, saw some WC in action, and 'found' a different railroad company.  It's the Escanaba & Lake Superior.  They were running a pair of SD9's (I think that's what they were) on a mainline freight.  Some interesting ops and very, very railfan friendly.  They had a small black engine marked B&D RR 1 on the cab.  Not sure what it was but I left the pics at home ( Banged Head [banghead] ) so I can't upload now.  I will make a thread for this later.

Extra wedding cake (almond & Raspberry) is in the fridge and I'll take a plate of whatever's around today CW.

Well, looks like it's going to be another hot and hazy day around here.  School started back this morning, here, and looks like things went well, getting the kids picked up at the bus stops.  Haven't heard of too many problems this morning.

Coffee, juices, iced tea and lemonade are freshly made and waiting.

Got fresh strawberries, blueberries, cantaloupe and watermelon on the breakfast bar, along with bear claws, bagels and cream cheese for the bagels.  Now, if people will just show up, to eat!!

I may or may NOT be back in later.  Depends on if anyone decides to show up!!

Everyone stay cool, and take care.

The next round of Sunday Dinner is on the warmer bar.  Along with the roast, taters, carrots, you have brussels sprouts, three bean salad, creamed corn and choice of bread, biscuits or cornbread, to have with your meal.

Just got back from the store:  had to replenish supplies of Gatorade (lemon-lime, lemonade, glacier freeze (light blue) , frost (dark blue), and fruit punch).  Also made fresh iced tea (sweet & unsweetened).

Desserts:  chocolate, cherry and strawberry cheesecakes, chocolate cream pie, cherry, apple, and peach pies, and plenty of ice cream to go with the desserts.

Good Sunday morning! Joe, thanks for making the coffee, juice and lemonade this morning, along with the rest of breakfast.  A couple of waffles and leftover pizza sound very good this morning.  And yeah, it's going to be another 3H day today.  That's why I'm back in the kitchen, right now, getting Sunday Dinner ready:  beef roast, potatoes, carrots, going in the Crock Pot.  Everything will be ready to set out on the warmer bar at 1 p.m. EDT.  To go along with the roast, we're also having broccoli & cheese, cream style corn, and your choice of homemade biscuits or cornbread.

Also have plenty of the ice cream left that Lance made last night.

Everyone have a good morning, keep as cool as possible, and take care!

Busy day!

Spent the morning at the local Model RR Club open house, in full uniform.  Had some nice talks with members and visitors.

Spent the afternoon with daughter and son-in-law, cruising the St Lawrence (on a tour boat) and enjoying dinner on the veranda at a local restaurant.  Now I get to rest.

Maybe a piece of Hawaiian for a bedtime snack..... Dinner [dinner]

  Have a good one.

As CW said, that's the 127 Yard Sale that have yearly. If I read it right this is the first year that they started north of Cincinnati. I think they usually started in Covington and it headed to Alabama.

I'll take a large #4 with an ice cold Dr. Pepper.

You all have a great Sunday.

Bob, I think that was the yearly 'yard sale' that runs from the Ohio border (I think) all the down to Tennessee, if not to Alabama.  It's billed as "The Longest Yard Sale in North America", or something like that.  They usually have it one weekend in August, and that must have been it, you came upon.

Hello everyone......

Well, I am now the proud owner of one Wisconsin Class A CDL, with air brake and combination vehicle endorsements.  If I ever take a picture of the truck I am now driving (2004 Kenworth T2000 with a 475hp Kittycat twin turbo motor), will post it up for all to see.

Will take ten gallons of water and five gallons of Gatorade, please.  It's only about 80-85 here, but very humid.

See everyone later...

Good Saturday morning!  Joe, thanks so very much for getting breakfast ready this morning!!  You are such a big help in here!!  And I'm sure mudchicken really appreciates you refilling his Gatorade canteens, jugs, barrels!!

Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day, even if it's on the hot and humid side.  This is August, though, and schools start back here Monday morning.  Hard to believe it's BACK TO SCHOOL time for all the kiddoes.

Everyone take care, have a good day, and see you all back later this evening for our Saturday Night Pizza Fest.

Oh OH!!  The people at the university better watch out!! I think mudchicken's correct:  they just might have new cadavers to work with this term!!

Got the next round of fish ready for tonight.  We have catfish, cod, flounder, halibut, haddock, perch, along with more crab cakes and steamed clams.  Regular sides of corn on the cob, cole slaw, baked beans, and plenty more pies and chocolate cake.

Hoping everyone stays as cool as possible.
