Okay, I know:  I'm running late (on East Coast time) with supper.  Sorry about that, guys and gals!

The beef and mushrooms is on the warmer bar, along with everything Mexican, for our MEXICAN FIESTA.  All the regular items:  burritos, tacos, quasadillas, tortilla chips, and dips, along with a  few other Mexican dishes.  Hope everyone enjoys, and have a great evening.

Evening all...

Well, 640 miles in a shade over 10 hours is not bad, but traffic was good all the way up.  Mutt: the bridge just east of the I65 bridge over the Ohio, whose bridge was that?  Just curious.  Will wait till tomorrow morning to tackle Chicago and head for the terminal.

Jay, will be a few years at best, we very rarely run out west, we are mainly east of the Mississippi.

see everyone later.....

Randy, if you're talking about the one that has no approaches up to it, it's the old Big 4

R.R. Bridge. Scheduled to become a pedestrian walkway next year. (they're supposed

to have already built sprial ramps up to it, it was supposed to have been open this year)

Evening everyone,

Thanks for the input on the pictures. I think I've made my decision, and I'll be sending it off to the printer tomorrow.

Hope you all have a great evening, and a lovely weekend. We're almost there!

Good Friday morning, to one and all!  TGIF!!!  Joe, thanks for making the coffee and juice!!  I've brought in doughnuts, danish, bagels and bear claws for breakfast this morning.

I need some help from a couple of you TALL guys, to help put up birthday decorations for Sunday (before you slip out for the weekend).  Not going to say yet, who has a birthday, but do want to get the decorations up.  And I need to find out what the birthday person's favorite flavor cake is, so I can get it made, and decorated for Sunday.  (And their favorite foods.)

Hope Mookie gets to drop by this morning, before she starts on her mountain of paperwork!!

Joe - bulldozer came through last nite.  Missed a few items, but did a good job cleaning.  It is slowly getting better.  Doing August graduates and will get them done just in time to start on the December ones!

Always come in an hour early - used that time time morning to take a short nap.  Someone put sleep powder in my post-toasties.

Nice and cool.  Jacket weather this weekend.  80's next week.  Ah Fall!  Wish Willy would come in so I can hug him for the cool weather and then scowl at him since it will be hot next week.  Maybe talk him into lowering the thermostat a smidge.

Got some new pens from Houston Ed.  They will be for gifts.  They are beautiful.  You really should go look at his website.  I will let him advertise when he comes in.  I have given several as gifts and they are perfect!

Sir C - what a confusing mess on the bridge fire.  Sounds like they still don't know for sure who did what.

Someone has a sshhh - bd?

Will wait for details....

Going to tell my cellmates that I have my lids down because I am checking them for holes.  Wonder if they will buy that....yeah....they will.  Age hath it's advantages.  I went from a little suspect to a sage - all in a few years.  I love it.

Enjoy the day - back later....

Mook

I can help with that...

Busy weekend coming up here, my folks are coming down today for a bridal shower for our daughter tomorrow.  Then it's off to church Sunday, where both bells and chancel choir are performing- no rest for the weary.

Some day I might actually get to sleep in again... probably not until after the wedding!

The next round of our FRIDAY FISH FRY is now under way.  Still have plenty of catfish, walleye, perch, cod, etc., that has just come out of the deep fryers.  And plenty of sides are ready, also.

Hope you all enjoy tonight's  fish fry, and have a  great evening!!

For Joe and  everyone else:  The pizza is now on the warmer bar.  On tonight's menu:

1.  Anchovie
2.  Cheese
3.  Cincinatti Ghoetta
4.  Hawaiian
5.  Pepperoni/Sausage/Mushroom
6.  Supreme

I only made two extra large of each of the six kinds of pizza.  Been busy baking and decorating a birthday cake for tomorrow!

Now, I'm going to go sit down, and rest my weary bones.  They're aching big time!!  So you all enjoy the pizzas, and save me a couple or three slices of the supreme, please.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RAY!!Happy B-Day [bday] Happy B-Day [bday] Happy B-Day [bday] Happy B-Day [bday]

And good Sunday morning to everyone!!  Coffee and hot tea are ready to drink, and fresh juices and lemonade are ready, also.

For breakfast this morning (my last to fix for you all for awhile), you have your choices of:  turkey bacon, sausage, country fried steak, hash browns, fried taters, pancakes, waffles, blueberry and strawberry muffins, BIG cinnamon rolls (though ther are probably not as good as your cinnamon rolls, Ray), bear claws and eggs fixed any way you like them.

In about two and a half, three hours, we'll be firing up the charcoal grill and preparing for a cook out today.  So, everyone have a great Sunday morning, and I'll catch ya later!!

Breakfast here looks mighty good to me! I think I'll grab a plate of pancakes or a waffle or two before I head for church this morning. Thanks for fixing breakfast for all of us, CW. Dinner [dinner]

To the few of you who have wished me a happy birthday, I owe you a BIG thank you!Smile [:)]

Tomorrow is the BIG day for CW, she is going to have her right knee rebuilt. I will light a candle in silent prayer for her while I am in church this morning. This is sort of a tradition in the Episcopal Church.

I will be back later this afternoon for a couple burghers off the grill and some birthday cake.

Today is also the birth date of the late James J. Hill, the founder of the Great Northern Railway. I think maybe I should add the Great Northern to my modeling interests, as well as the Burlington Route and the Canadian Pacific Railway. Are there any other Great Northern fans out there??

Yes, Sacto, there will be plenty of hamburgers, so you can have some later this evening.  Mutt just now took the first round of burgers, dogs, brats, etc., off the grill (including grilled corn on the cob, and fresh grilled veggies).  They are now on the warmer bar, along with baked beans, and on the portable cooler bar, you will find potato salad, cole slaw, and Jell-O salads.  JUST LEAVE ROOM FOR BIRTHDAY CAKE.

As you will notice, the cake is different from the usual 1/2 sheet cakes I usually have.  This one is a chocolate masterpiece of three layers.  Each layer is chocolate w/chocolate icing, with peppermint sticks that have been "shaved", and sprinkled all over the cake.

I'll be back in later on this evening, to bid "farewell" to everyone, for a little while.  Supposed to come home next Thursday, with a knee immobilizer on the knee, so it's going to a a little bit hard for me to get to the ole computer cart and our computer.
