....Good morning J:
Since you are one of the early birds this morning, I'm wondering if you can give me a quick check on a piece of return mail....Sis in law, in Pennsylvania says she received no mail from me yesterday and I sent two pieces. Thanks.
Quentin
Q - they don't deliver on Sunday?
J
She who has no signature! cinscocom-tmw
...Thank you J.....seems it's working just fine, which I thought it was but wanted to find out. Guess it could be an email problem, but she has had some problems in receiving email lately and simply I wanted to make sure this computer was pushing it out over the air waves....
And we thank you for the help....Have a good {sunny}, Monday work day...
Q - since I handle mailing addresses here at work - I instantly thought of postal mail, not e-mail! My apologies.....and boy was I confused!
Dan, We had a neighbor of yours here in Louisville over the weekend. One of the few remaining (that flys) FORD Tri-Motor airplanes was in town, and gave rides to anyone who could ante up $ 50.00 per. (sponsered by the EAA of Oshkosh, Wi., first stop on their newest tour)
(I'll take my chances with Rotor Blades on top, not propellers in front; Thank You!!)
The cook just walked in the door so I guess I'll check with her to see if she's got anything going for lunch.
Mookie, speaking of email..................??
Being Crazy, keeps you from going "INSANE" !! "The light at the end of the tunnel, has been turned off due to budget cuts" NOT AFRAID A Vet., and PROUD OF IT!!
....No J....Email, not snail mail was the intended subject. We're fine...No problem.
Since your answer came right back to me it's obviously it sure was going out from here ok....At least it told me the computer was tossing out "mail" to the air waves.
Yes, as the Mutt said, I've been home for a few minutes. Of course, don't know anything about the blood work, but x-ray tech did tell my my chest x-rays looked good, so I'm glad about that. Did find out that when I go in on Monday Sept. 17th, I will come home around noon on Thursday.
I've heated up leftovers for lunch, from all the cooking I did in here yesterday. You have your choices of chicken & dumplings, roast, taters, carrots, etc., meat loaf, and whatever else it was I fixed yesterday.
Do any of you have any requests for supper tonight?!?! If so, I will try my best to comply with any and all requests.
You all have a great afternoon, and I'll talk with you later!!

Okey-Dokey!!!!!!!!
I know, supper's a tad bit late tonight. On the warmer bar: pork chop abracadbra, open-faced roast beef sandwiches w/mashed taters and gravy, garden salad, green beans, corn, sliced tomatoes and cottage cheese (for those who like it).
Joe and Lance, there are containers for you both in the fridge, w/your names on them, for work tonight.
Sorry about supper being so late tonight; everyone have a good evening.
//The sliced maters and a vat of Mayo disappear along with a pepper shaker.
CW isn't late, just workin' in another time zone.
....Walt: Believe that's one airplane I've never seen in the reality. There used to be a couple that flew over in northern Ohio...Believe it was near Sandusky, Oh....Don't know if they're still there or not.
I may have seen one flying {about 17 or so years ago}, up in Auburn, In....It was during the Labor Day mammoth automobile auction and parades and celebrations that is an annual affair. I'm told there is another plane with the similar configurations...{3 engines}, So maybe I did, but really don't know....
I've flown in plenty of DC-3's, as the Lake Cental commuter used to use them here {Muncie}, to make the flight from Muncie to O'Hara and also to Detroit. That was an experience.
Aimee thinks I am being gross when I eat ‘maters like that...all the better, of course, because that leaves it all for me!
And avocado halves, with salt, pepper, and a spoon...now that's good eating....

I'm not real fond of Mayo, but the ripe tomatoes and pepper shaker sound really great!!!!

I've seen one or two of them in museums, but never flown in one of those.( DC-3s another story, I don't get sick when flying, but DC-3s...............tail draggers!)
I do have a few hours in "Fixed Wing" Aircraft, but most of my time has been
in "Rotary Wing" aircraft. (helicopters, Senior Crew Chief, Mechanic.)
Good Tuesday morning, all! Another nice, pleasant evening around here last night. Slept fairly well. Mudchicken, when I could eat tomatoes, I'd always put a little bit of salt on them. (Are there any tomatoes, w/out seeds?!?! I'd love to eat some tomatoes.)
Cannonball, thanks so much for your kind words. And you're right: those tests yesterday were no picnic! Usually, getting stuck to have blood drawn, doesn't bother me. But yesterday, it hurt like heck!!
Now, on to nicer things: coffee is ready, as well as fresh juices, tea and lemonade made and ready. On the warmer bar this morning: bacon, sausage, biscuits, sausage gravy, bagels, scrambled eggs, bear claws, and cantaloupe and watermelon chunks.
You all have a great morning, and I'll see ya after Produce Tuesday is over.
My father often enjoyed sliced tomatoes sprinkled lightly with sugar (more of a treat before the advent of the "5mph tomato"), a delight I still occasionally partake in, but one which led to an amusing anecdote...
My uncle, a sheriff's deputy at the time, stopped by the house one summer Sunday afternoon to join us for our usual Sunday afternoon barbeque. Now, to ease the application of the sugar to the sliced tomatoes, we kept a separate salt shaker filled with sugar. Uncle Jerry, eager to enjoy his freshly grilled burger, grabbed what he thought to be salt, along with the pepper, to season the morsel. We offered to grill up a fresh burger for him, but he toughed it out....

AND YOU THINK THE DINER'S FRIDAY FISH FRY IS BAD!!!!!!!
Don't think I want to go here!!
Good afternoon, folks! For our lunch today, we have MEXICAN FIESTA DAY!
Today's menu includes tacos, burritos (beef, bean, and beef/bean/onion), enchiladas, quasadillas, tamales, shredded lettuce with onion and tomatoes, refried beans, Spanish rice, etc.
For desserts, we have all the regular dessert menu items: chocolate cake, white cake w/white icing, yellow cake w/caramel icing, and the usual cobblers: apple, cherry, blueberry, blackberry, peach and strawberry; and the following pies: chocolate, apple, peach, cherry and pecan.
Also just finished replenishing the iced tea, lemonade, fruit punch, grape Kool-Aid, Tropical Punch Kool-Aid, and brought in more Gatorade tanks.
So, sidle on up to the warmer bar, fill your plates, and if you wish, head on out to the patio, or grab a table or booth here inside the DD/CS.
