Good Thursday morning, all.  It's very humid and muggy here this morning.  Things are "supposed" to cool down, later today, after a cold front and showers/thunderstorms roll through late morning, early afternoon?

I've got the coffee and hot tea ready this morning, along with fresh iced tea, lemonade, and orange juice.

On the breakfast/warmer bar:  turkey bacon, sausage patties, biscuits and sausage gravy, hashs browns, cantaloupe & watermelon chunks and fresh pineapple.

I may not be around for lunch, so I've fixed some cold cut sandwiches, and placed them in the cooler for you all.  There are all kinds of chips, pretzels, etc., under the counter.

Everyone have a good morning/day, and I'll see you all later.

Holy quiet in here today Batman!  CW your food is as good as usual.  I think I'll take the quiet time to clean up a bit around here and make sure that nothing needs fixing.  I'll be working on the drains and electricity to make sure everything works if anyone needs me.

Well, I finally made it back in.  Dan, be very careful working with electricity!  And check with the Mutt:  he's the resident handyman around here, if you need anything.

Looks like you all pretty well cleaned up the sandwiches I made this morning for lunch!!  Good job:  I like you all having good appetites around here!!

Tonight's supper menu will be:  THURSDAY NIGHT PIZZA FEST!!  I'll have the following pizzas ready at 4:00 EDT:

1.  anchovie
2.  Canadian bacon
3.  cheese and extra cheese
4.  pepperoni/sausage/mushroom
5.  supreme
6.  veggie

As I do on Saturdays, I'm making three of each of the above, so there should be enough for everyone (especially if anyone wants to take some home with them for supper tonight).

Joe and Lance, there'll be containers in the fridge for you all, for work tonight.

You all take care, have a good afternoon, and if you venture out, hopefully you can stay as cool as possible!!

//2006 Kenworth T2000 pulls up to fuel rack outside, I get out//

Afternoon everyone, what do you think of what I've been driving for the past four weeks?  (Shoot, forgot to get a picture.....)

Anyway, it's been a long four weeks and 15,000 miles on the road to Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, PA and New York, running between those points and Wisconsin, but I'm doing well.  Should be ready to take the CDL road test this next week, then get my own truck.........

Will take dinner, then a nap for a bit.......

You look smokin', Dan!!

Hmmmm,OOPS, guess I got that one "Bass Ackwards"! No wonder he had such a Shocking experience!! Blush [:I]

(I work with red and black more than the other; red being Hot, and Black being ground.)

Just had a major t-storm rumble through here, looks like we might have picked up about .75" of rain from this one. (at least according to the rain guage in front yard.)

At least it's cooled the temp. down, along with bringing the humidity down some.

Well, I haven't lost my touch.  I was just wondering where Randy had been and lo and behold, here he is!  Glad to have you back, Randy.

Doctor sez I am healthy for another year.  Grocery Store prices could put anyone on a diet.

Turmoil at work - but at least it isn't dull.

And it doesn't involve me!  Approve [^]

Off to empty round file and refill.

Really need a nap too.  All stressed out and nowhere to nap.  Stand still Tree.  I'd ask Dan to plug in mah fan but.....(that doesn't sound quite right....)  I'd ask Dan to plug in mah fan, however.....

Geez Mooks, go back to work in your state and the temperature gets cranked up to near 100.

At least we spend the weekend playing in the ditches over here. BNSF and UP are both extremely busy building new RR around here. Bumped into a BNSF new track construction roadmaster that I've worked with before at the motel last last night. They are putting up track at a record rate.

Great to be back, Mookie, wish I could have been in earlier, but I don't have a laptop, otherwise I could have dropped in every time we were hooked up to IdleAire at the truckstops.  (Great deal, by the way, under two bucks an hour for heat and air and local channels and e-mail, high speed internet access for about four bucks a visit.)

I'll take breakfast and then off to do some errands, and get an appointment set up for my road test.

Welcome back, Randy!!  We all sure did miss you, while you were out truckin'!

Our FRIDAY FISH FRY is now under way.  On today's menu:

1.  catfish
2.  cod
3.  flounder
4.  halibut
5.  ocean perch
6.  salmon croquets
7.  rainbow trout

We also have our regular side dishes of fries, hushpuppies, cole slaw and corn on the cob, , along with the regular desserts:  chocolate cake, apple, cherry, peach and pecan pies.  And I've restocked the freezer with plenty of ice cream.

Sure is a beautiful day out, and much lower humidity!!  Think I'll fire up the grill to supper tonight, and we'll have grilled fish for supper.  How's that sound with everyone?!?!

Will take some fish, then off to play some poker in town, have a good one.....

Good Saturday morning, all.  Looks like it's going to be another beautiful, semi-cool day around here!!  Sorry I didn't make it back in last night; but it seems that the forum was acting up, and wouldn't let me log in, to even get to the DD/CS!

Coffee is ready, hot water ready for tea, and oj, oj-tangerine, oj-pineapple, etc. are also freshly made this morning, along with fresh iced tea and lemonade.

You've got many choices on the warmer bar this morning:  turkey bacon, country fried ham w/red-eye gravy, homemade buttermilk biscuits, sausage patties, sausage gravy, cooked rice, oatmeal, grits, country-fried taters & onions, cantaloupe and watermelon chunks, and sliced red & yellow tomatoes, pancakes, waffles, and plenty of maple syrup.  And if none of this tempts you, there are doughnuts, and muffins on the counter.

You all have a terrific day, and remember to be careful, and watch out for the idiot people who are out there, acting like goofballs!!

Just back. Sorry I missed last night's fish. Had a great Salmon steak from my fresh caught fish. Done great. Cooked over lump charcoal on a cedar board. We should try that some time here. It is awesome. Brought a few fish home frozen too in fillet form. Got one at the smokehouse to be shipped later...

Great trip all in all. Almost gets me ready to go play choo choo again.

LC, welcome back!  Glad you enjoyed your vacation!

Looks like things have really been sloooooww in here today!  So, guess we'll go lightly on the pizzas for tonight.  On the menu:

1.  cheese
2.  pepperoni/sausage/mushroom
3.  Goetta
4.  Hawaiian
5.  Supreme

We've had a fantastic day today, weather-wise.  Beautiful blue skies, with hardly any clouds, and a very nice breeze.  We've been out for the afternoon, and just got home about a half hour ago.  Suffice it to say, we all had a terrific time!!

Joe, got containers fixed for you to take to work tonight.  And Lance, if you're working tonight, there are containers in the fridge for you, also.

Have a great evening, everyone!!

Good Sunday morning!!  Joe, you are so right:  looks like it's going to be another beautiful day today!!  Thank you so much for making the juice, coffee and lemonade.  And the cinnamon rolls and leftover pizza sound very good this morning.

Guess I'll let the "cat out of the bag" (and not Mookie, either!!):  we went with Sarah to CSX's Family Day yesterday, after she got off work.  As you can tell by my new avatar, I got to get up on an engine, and had my picture taken.  I'm glad they had steps for everyone to get up to the engine, because my short legs would not have let me get up there, otherwise!

Got to meet several of her coworkers, saw an Operation Lifesaver Caboose, and heard some really good music!!  Of course, we had good food, also:  they had burgers, hot dogs, baked beans, cole slaw, snack crackers, soft drinks, and small bags of chips and even had a popcorn machine.  They had all kinds of games for the kids, with prizes for them.  Even got a Frisbee with CSX on it.

Everyone have a great morning, and be back in here around 1 p.m. for SUNDAY DINNER.  Think I'll start firing up the grill in a bit, and grill out for Sunday Dinner.  Anybody have anything in particular they want me to grill today?!?!
