Good thing I'm wearing mossy oak....
Larry, I Hope you're talking about their "Hunting Apparel"!!
Well, the tin boots weren't going to be real appropriate for Ms Mook to sharpen her claws, so I figured some "oak" apparel might be the best thing....

Just so long as it isn't "Poison Oak"
Now since you and Dan are in here this evening, may I borrow you to help me hang up some
Birthday Banners for tomorrow so CW doesn't have to do everything in the morning?!
We have a Very Important Person having a tomorrow.
(Hint, he just got a new pickup truck)
Being Crazy, keeps you from going "INSANE" !! "The light at the end of the tunnel, has been turned off due to budget cuts" NOT AFRAID A Vet., and PROUD OF IT!!
I can help with that, too!
Looks like we're (CR) in the center of a bullseye weather-wise tomorrow- MODERATE chance of severe weather. If I don't check in to the diner tomorrow night, you'll be able to guess why...
Brian (IA) http://blhanel.rrpicturearchives.net.
I can and will help you hang lots of banners....
How about these fun birthday balloons? Would you say 200 is enough? I'll suspend them from the ceiling in a net. When someone pulls the string -> | <- between the arrows they'll fall on the Birthday Boy! Woo hoo!
We are smack in the middle of the High category for strong/severe weather for tomorrow. If I don't check in after 7 PM you'll know why. The weather forecast from three different TV stations included the phrase "...and isolated tornados are expected tomorrow evening along with damaging winds and hail up to golf-ball in size." Willy if you want to storm chase you could try my backyard if you want to...just watch out for the landmines!
Morning! It's another fine day! Please.....leave this alone ---> | <--- for now...hehe.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUDCHICKEN!
Bagels, English Muffins, home-made strawberry jam, fresh whole fruit, juice, milk, coffee, tea are out on the bar for your early morning dancing and listening enjoyment! Back later!
Good Thursday morning everyone! And. . . . .
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MUDCHICKEN!!!!!!!
Let's see, wonder what is in one of these packages here. . . maybe a new transit for the Mudchicken?!?!?!hmmmmmmmmm.
He needs to get himself in here, and let me know what he would like to eat today. I already have a 55gallon drum of Gatorade with a big blue bow on it for him. (and straw also) Man, I had to call the local fire station to help me get that straw inserted into the drum!! They also warned me about lighting 51 birthday candles on the cake this evening!!
Dan, thank you for fixing breakfast this morning!! Very much appreciated!! I'm working on my first mug of coffee right now. Think I'll take an English muffin, with some strawberry jam and some fresh fruit this morning.
Think I'll walk around and see if I can find Mudchicken, and see if I can find a new pickup truck out in the parking lot. Maybe he's hiding in it!!
Like my new nails? ////\\\\ got moss on them somehow - at least I didn't have to have them done. Wonder how I did that.....
Well.........The wind blew her hair into her face, the wind blew her hair into my face and then the wind blew her hair into the street! (I know there are some of you old enough to remember this!) Anyway - we had 56 mph winds yesterday. Most people just sit and watch the world go by - I got to sit and watch it blow by.
We usually do have wind - that way we get rain. During the drought we didn't have any wind and no rain. No rain for us yesterday, but still windy and uncomfortably warm. We sent it all onto Iowa and northern Illinois! Happy mess to you.
And Happy Birthday to Sir Chicken! I figured out the Sir Mud, the Driver and I have the same birthdate, only different months (kind of like we went to different schools together!) Anyhow, much to the Chicken's Chagrin - that should make us distantly related! (hmmm a bald chicken with fur and feathers.....poor chicken....)
Well, I am sure there is something hidden cake-wise, so really should go find it and give it my Good Kitty-Keeping Paw of Approval.....yum!
She who has no signature! cinscocom-tmw
Those are some sharp looking (pun intended!) nails Ms. Mook! I'll leave some bandaids out near his mug for sir Tree!
Now...where is that new truck parked???
Sorry, Mookie, I haven't made the cake yet: Need to find out what flavor cake Mudchicken prefers!! (Hear that, MC?!?!?! I need to know what flavor cake you want today, PRONTO, so I can get it baked, and what flavor icing do you want on it? How about what you want to eat on your special day, too?!?!?!)
Mookie, LOVE your new Moss Green nail polish. I might have to try some of that (if I can quit biting my nails, so they'll grow long enough to polish!!)
Mutt, Larry and Dan, forgive my faux paux: THANK YOU THREE FOR PUTTING UP THE BIRTHDAY DECORATIONS LAST NIGHT!! I really wasn't looking forward to trying to climb a ladder last night.
....They are talking about some wind here in central Indiana today....The storm stuff is to go up thru Ill. and on over Mi. and probably miss us today.
But....It is to get into the low 90's someplaces here today and the humidity to be going up with the temps. Windows have been up for 4 or 5 days now and I suppose that will have to change today.
Still it's really dry here....Only a half inch or so in the past several weeks. Wind here today, forecast to be roughly in the 30's.....Just a slight bit of it now at 7:30.
Quentin
Q - my bet is even Willy would have trouble predicting the weather today - it has been a very unusual spring. Seems like there is something for everyone!
J
....It has been a bit unusual Spring here too J and exceptionally dry, but today the humidity joining us, that will make it feel more like Indiana....along with the heat.
Happy Birthday Mudchicken!!
And, everyone over in northern Illinois and Wisconsin, please stay safe today. You've got some dangerous stuff on tap, as Dan and others have already mentioned.
Willy

Land mines, or Gopher Holes?!?!
Hope you, and anyone else out that way of the U.S. DOES NOT GET ANY SEVERE WEATHER!!!
Mook, your "nails" look really good, just make sure they aren't too Slippery!!
(you know Moss can be very slippery and treacherous!!!!!!)
The only thing I can think of about song, (I'm guessing that's what you're refering to)
is: "Who's Tripping down the Streets of the City, Smiling at Everybody She Meets"
Mudchicken, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope "Lurch" doesn't leave you in one, or has it said "You Rang"?!?!
Mutt-
Those are definately 'land mines' from the dogs!
I'll be offline probably for a while-I'm getting super high speed internet installed today! YAY! Back later today/this afternoon! CW could you set some lunch in the fridge for me and if Sir Chicken pops in and digs into his cake, a piece of that too? Thanks in advance!

Okay, I haven't heard from Mudchicken yet, so here's what I've got so far: the birthday cakes are: chocolate w/chocolate icing; chocolate w/white icing; vanilla w/half chocolate, half white icing; a strawberry cake w/strawberry icing, and a yellow cake w/caramel icing.
For lunch, I've got: Porterhouse steaks w/baked potatoes, asparagus, green beans, corn, fresh garden salad. (I just hope this menu is to Mudchicken's liking), and there is a 25 gallon drum of unsweetened ice tea.
Message From:The Cook
I am here for steaks for lunch (woo hoo) and will be back for cake when the party really gets rolling. I assume the Mud Chicken will regale us with stories of some of the really dumb things he has seen happen in and around the railroad business in the past year.
Going out to set some anchors to keep things from blowing away today.

Gotta find a chicken. Can't find a chicken. Can't eat cake w/o a chicken. Where is the chicken.....
Asparagus - gag! CW - icky!
Now I have to go outside and look for a chicken!
HERE Chicken, Chicken, Chicken...Chic Chic Chic ChickEN! HERE Chicken...
Maybe we should put some feed out for him...

Dan, do you mean "Oh Lurch!", as in the Addams Family butler, meaning "YOU RANG?!?!?!"
I kind of thought that putting Porterhouse steaks and asparagus (sorry, Mookie) would be one sure way of getting him in here. Now, I have to try to figure out another way to get the Mudchicken in here for his birthday party!!
, MC!
After watching him put away a HUGE burger in Lincoln last October (where did we eat? Appleby's?), I can vouch that the steak should be a satisfactory lure.
I'm keeping an eye on the radar here- things are starting to pop west of us around Des Moines and on up to Mason City.
I would suspect he's more of a rooster that a chicken, no?MC

Brian, got to agree with that, when he and other half were here in Louisville last Sept.
and took us to Dinner at a Texas Roadhouse, he put away a very good meal!!
(As a matter of fact, I think he had a "Porterhouse Steak!)
I'm honestly hoping that you all do not have that severe weather they're talking about.
Seems we have a chance of the residuals later tonight or tomorrow in this area.
None of us need it!!
