Wow, I don't make it back after Tuesday Produce, and it seems like just about everybody else jumped from the train today!!
On the warmer bar for supper tonight, you will find:
beef tips portobello w/gravy, mashed taters, and a veggie medley of broccoli and carrots.
DESSERT TONIGHT: caramel Apple Crisp.
Joe and Lance, there are containers for you two to take to work tonight, in the fridge, with your names on them.
DAN: send me an email, and let me know what you got into in here earlier, that required sweeping, and emptying the garbage! (I see the new, empty bags in the trash cans.)

Ok, why does it look like Hong Kong Phooey was just in here?? //sweeps up mess, puts same in trash.....
There, that looks better.....
Did the truck rodeo thing in class today, should have no problem passing the skills test tomorrow, then it should be practice out on the road. Steer clear of a white Kenworth T2000 with an extra door on the drivers' side, and "student driver" markings all over the truck and trailer........
Will have some of whatever is for dinner (forgot to look at the menu).....
Keep the shiny side up out there......

I always wondered what all those shiny kitchen utensils were for! Seems as though some were partial to gravity. Replacements are on the way. Nobody needed the blender and the cappucino maker, did they? I know better than to mess with the coffee pot and the layouts! I guess there's a bit of kitty in me if I get left alone for too long. Curiosity you know...ooh...what's that?
Well... I'm back from New York City. Here's a quick little summary of the trip in case anyone is interested.
We saw three Broadway shows and one off-Broadway show. The off-Broadway show was Altar Boyz. It was funny, but a bit wierd. The Broadway shows were Phantom of the Opera, Hairspray, and Spamalot. Phantom was absolutely incredible and the other two were very good and funny also.
We went to the Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero, Radio City Music Hall, and Central Park.
It rained four inches Sunday night and Monday, but I guess that's nothing compared to Mookie's 3.5 inches in an hour.
So, it was really an excellent trip, but nobody got much sleep. However, when you're in New York City, sleep really isn't the first thing on your mind. You want to pack as much into the trip as possible, which is exactly what we did.
There you have it: Four days in New York City in a two minute read. I'm just too tired to go into detail right now. Maybe each day this week I'll go into detail on a certain show or tourist spot.
TTFN.
Willy
....Willy: Wouldn't a trip into the great hall of the restored GCT have been an interest to you....I understand you can't see it all in one trip though.
Quentin
Brian, was it an apple box? As in "The Big Apple", New York City? I'm getting this box out of here, right now! Don't need anyone playing with big boxes in here.
Coffee is ready, and juice is freshly made. On the warmer bar: turkey bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, homemade buttermilk biscuits, sausage gravy, grits, and bear claws.
Everyone have a good morning, and please let me know if any of you have any meal requests for today.
Mookie, your coffee mug is down off the shelf, and here it is, filled to the brim with coffee for you. If you want, later, I'll get another mug down, and fill it with hot tea for you!! I also shoved them
over to your hammock, so you can relax while you drink it.
^mmmmmmm^ Ah....
Thanx CW -!
Welcome back Willy.
Randy - Keep on truckin' (well, I am not awake yet for something more exciting!)
Dan - Deny everthing and get a good lawyer.
I'm beat. Gonna find Tree, sharpen claws and then nap in the shade.....

Willy, glad you're back and had a safe and enjoyable trip.
Dan, HEED Mookies' WORDS!!!!!!!
Mook, isn't one end of your Hammock tied to a box?
(or was that a "garbage can, with fresh trash bags in it,
or was that the one with the broken utensils"!!?)

If it had been just me and my family, I'm sure we would have visited Grand Central Terminal. However, because it was a group, we had to follow the specific itinerary and stick with the group at all times.
Hmmm... maybe a big severe weather outbreak tonight, maybe nothing. Instability, moisture, and shear are all very impressive, but an equally impressive cap of warm air aloft may prevent storms from developing. We'll see what happens.
It's not capping 'em over here- we've been getting steady rain for the last half hour now.
//lifts lid on box
Hey Dan, you can come out now!
Gee whiz, I don't know if it's even worth my trouble to be fixing meals in here today, since hardly anyone is in here. So, I've just made up some sandwiches, and they're in the cooler. A variety of chips are on the counter, so everyone help yourselves.
Willy, glad you all made it home all right, and glad to hear that you had a good time!!
But everyone had better be in for supper tonight around 6:30, 7:00 p.m. EDT for Italian spaghetti, garden salad, corn on the cob, sauteed mushrooms, and garlic Texas toast.
Mookie, Joe and Lance, there will be containers ready for you three, in the fridge with your names on them, about 2:30, so you all can have them tonight.
P.S. Dan and anyone else, PLEASE do NOT bring in any more trash cans or trash bags. I believe we have enough around here to last until Halloween!!
//shakes self off
Whew! That box was small! I'm glad that I'm finally out! I'll be have now (for a while!) and have some of those oh-so-yummy CW Candwiches! I see that the real sun is out for a while here...liquid sun to return later today! I can practically lose the dogs in the grass already! I wonder if there's room in the hammock still....
(keepa you hands off the hammock.....or the trash bag gets used!)
CW - thanx - I wasn't sure what to have for supper and now I don't have to cook!
C U all tomorrow....

Evening all.......
Not a bad day here today, took a trip this afternoon to swap some trailers. I was trying to pay attention to the instructor (who was driving), and also to what was going on around us on the road........
Saw online that someone tried to take a 13'6" trailer into the 13' Lincoln Tunnel in NYC, peeled the roof off and tore the rear frame off the trailer. don't have to worry about him on the highway for some time........
Will take some dinner and some rest, see everyone later.......

Larry, I Hope you're talking about their "Hunting Apparel"!!
Joe, have they ever put that one diamond back in?!
Randy, we had a similar accident here in the city today,
seems a truck and oversized trailer tried to go through a R.R. underpass again.
This particular one gets it about once a week.
Seems trailer broke in half!! (Joe, Defiance aint got nothing on us!!)
On the subjects of too tall trucks and bridges/tunnels and Ford pickups (Trigger's replacement) anyone remember the commercial a while back for the Ford Superduty Diesel where the 18 wheeler hauling tubing got stuck in the tunnel and the P/U pulled him out as easy as day? Anyway my thought is that it'd be a dangerous place to be; behind the rig that's too tall for it's lane! Sorry for the ramble...just thinking aimlessly lol.
