Good Tuesday afternoon to all! First time I've been on the computer today. Since no one else has been in today, I think we'll have brunch this afternoon. So, mosey on over to the warmer bar, and you will find: bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, pancakes, biscuits & sausage gravy, fried taters and home fries; in the cooler: slaw, garden salads, sliced tomatoes, cantaloupe, watermelon and mushmelon.
Desserts: plenty of cakes (chocolate, etc.), pies and cobblers.
Drinks: coffee, tea, lemonade, fruit punch, and grape Kool-Aid.
And for supper tonight, we'll have our MEXICAN FIESTA. Hope to see you all in here this afternoon and tonight!!

A couple of burgers, with, and some potato salad would certainly hit spot about now. Maybe an ear of that corn. The three-bean salad sounds good, too. Tough call between the lemonade and some sweet iced tea, but the peach ice cream is a no-brainer.

Well, we've had a semi quiet day here ourselves, watched a DVD or two and helped
daughter run an extension cord and vacuum out her vehicle.
(boy does that job suck!!)
(unfortunately, we didn't get to do any train watching!)
That Peach Ice Cream does sound really good

Uh Tree, I think you're the wrong sex!!
(or having very strong sympathy pains!)
Wow - Busy weekend!
Speaking of holiday traffic - had to make a run to daughter's house Friday night to retrieve my digital camera (she used it for a wedding - come to think of it, she like's to experiment - I'd better check the settings) which normally takes about an hour and change. Traffic going town to Syracuse wasn't bad - all the vacationers were headed north. The trip back was a little different, however. I still don't know what caused the five+ mile traffic backup. I gave up and took a U turn back to the last exit and travelled a parallel US highway past the blockage.
Busy weekend on the railroad - we carried over 300 on Sunday, which is pretty impressive for the summer season. Fall colors will bring out 200+ per train.
Good thing Adrianspeeder hasn't been around, with all this talk about Fords.
Of course, that's why I drive a GMC...
Good Monday morning and HAPPY LABOR DAY to all!! All this talk of vehicles, makes me wish I could afford my dream vehicle: a Dodge Dakota.
Joe, thanks for making the coffee, juice and bringing in the doughnuts!! In a couple of hours, I'll be putting things on the grills for this afternoon's cookout. Got everything prepared, and in the fridge, before I went to sleep last night.
Looks like we'll be back in the nineties today, and the next two, three days. Then, rain supposedly coming in Thursday and Friday, with highs in the mid to upper eighties.
Everyone have a good morning!!
good morning
happy labor day.hope you get to sleep in our get the day off.matts sleeping in.matt and I will check out the trains after he wakes up.

August 1995 - 1993 Ford Bronco/Company Truck - in front of my house - 2am - Been there, done that. (The recall letter for the electrical ballast in the steering column showed-up three weeks+ later after the Car-B-Que. Three years before that had an F-150 fuel pump run-amok and fill the oil pan/crankcase and any other engine void with fuel. Lucky that one didn't go up in flames.)

Is this anything like the movie "Clueless in............."
Maybe if they get different "beancounters" you all wouldn't have to worry so much.
Ed, very much like your style of thinking about "Rams Horns"

Fix Or Repair Daily, Found On Road Dead....Don't make me even think of one of the other ones, it WILL be censored!!
If you all feel that way, guess it wouldn't go over a cliff if you pushed it!
Afternoon everyone...
Thanks, CW, I get in as often as I can, but I really need to consider buying a laptop computer to take with me on the road so I can stay in touch better. Truck is parked untill Tuesday morning, then back out on the road for two to three weeks again, can't stay out too much longer or too much mail piles up at the house.
Mudchicken, Kenworth is not too much better off right now, have heard reports of the new T660s with Cat motors catching on fire because the new emissions equipment is burning the underside of the cab and sleeper floor. We drivers do not like that particular model anyway, there is no interior room, especially for some of us that are fairly large.
Be back later for lunch and dinner.....

I'm definitely coming over for the country fried steak with steak fries, green beans and crescent rolls.
By the way, keep out the beer--Michigan fans are really depressed over that loss yesterday from what I've read online.
Lance, thanks for making the coffee and fixing the juice this morning! And Mutt, thanks for making breakfast this morning. You did extremely well on the eggs and waffles!! (And Mutt's right: I have been very busy/occupied this morning. Getting everything together and beginning preparations for the LABOR DAY COOKOUT for our Diner patrons, and any guests who come by tomorrow.)
Randy, glad you got a chance to stop in last night. Just be careful out on the road, o.k? And come back as often as you can!!
Enjoy your Sunday Dinner and have a great afternoon!!
Well, since CW is otherwise occupied right now, guess I'll put my apron on and start
taking care of the orders. (I was doing a bit of maintenance on our "O" Scale layout)
She should be in shortly to take care of things.
Mudchicken, they make "Band-Aids" that big?!
