I'll have a plate full of those chicken *** lunch combos!  Sounds great.  Does anyone in here know anything about the Trainz Railroad Simulator?  I can't get mine to work.

Well, since the Mookster hasn't been back in, since earlier this morning,  to let me know what she'd like for lunch today, maybe she will have no objections to my selections today:

1.  open face roast beef sandwiches w/"smashed" taters, beef gravy, cole slaw, green beans and carrots.

2.  grilled chicken breasts w/green peas, corn, and mashed taters w/beef gravy, and sliced tomatoes and cottage cheese.

For dessert today, we have:  chocolate cake w/chocolate icing, apple cobbler and blackberry cobbler and peach pie w/ice cream.

I hope everyone likes the lunch selections today, and after you fix a plate, head on out to the patio.  I'm headed out there right now:  I do believe hear a train a comin' down the tracks!!

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] back, Mookie!!  So very glad to see you back in here!  Hope you are liking the chocolate breakfast this morning:  chocolate cake, chocolate covered doughnuts, chocolate covered Cheerios, chocolate covered Twinkies, and chocolate covered peanuts.

Coffee, juice, hot tea and hot cider and hot chocolate are ready and available this morning.

Things can now get back to NORMAL for us, around here!  Maybe, Mookie, you had it more correct, when you said ABNORMAL.Wink [;)]

Do you have any special requests for lunch and supper today?!?!

All back to abnormal.

Belated happy birthday/anniversary to all who celebrated.  I was delighted to see Dan back even for a short visit.

Full moon out there - so we need to all be a little extra careful!  AND - I just heard a Norfolk Southern Commercial on a local radio station.  It was probably tied in with the WSJ report, but it was great to hear the train whistle and the train sounds!

Lots to catch up on, so I must get busy and prepare.  First on list is a nap!  Any one in the hammock will be looking for breakfast in short order.  (and probably some tin britches!)

Life is good!

Happy B-Day [bday] A late happy birthday to Lance. Somehow I missed it yesterday.

Very nice weather for tomorrow and then an arctic front sweeps through bringing a little taste of reality. Highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s Tuesday through Friday. Brrr. The cold isn't of any use to me if its not going to snow too.

Hope everyone has a good week. I suspect it will be a busy one at school trying to get everything wrapped up before Easter vacation.

Yep, Joe, it's in the fridge.  Walt helped fix the containers.  He said to look for the ones that are labled "From Columbus to Cincinnati"!!Evil [}:)]Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]  It should be in the normal location, where I put the containers for you.

Bob, you did a fantastic job on the ribs!!  You can fix them ANYTIME!!

There's still plenty of ribs, baked beans, cole slaw, and other sides, so everyone, come help yourselves to a plate or two!!

Talked with our beloved owner, Jim, today, and he's getting ready to head out to Missouri and his parents' home tomorrow.  Said he'd be back home sometime late afternoon Thursday.

Good Morning right back. I put baby back ribs in the smoker yesterday afternoon. They are basted with Corky's BBQ sauce from Memphis. The beans are in the Dutch oven over the fire pit. I have a case of paper towels handy. Someone bring the cole slaw and we will have a feast today.

Good Sunday morning to all!  "Happy April Fools Day".   Randy, thanks for jogging my memory:  today is also Nance69's and Bob's wedding anniversary!  Completly forgot it!!  I'll have to call them later, and wish them "Happy Anniversary"!

Joe, thanks for making the juice and coffee, and a special thanks for the rolls for breakfast!!

Everyone have a great day, and I'll be wracking my brain for for the next hour, trying to think of a Sunday Dinner menu for today.   Meanwhile, everyone have a great Palm Sunday morning!

//Cranks out awning to keep rain off.....//

Little wet here, but at least the tornado warnings are overwith.  Will grab a few slices and enjoy the rest of the evening.

April Fools Day also happens to be my parent's wedding anniversary, it will be 29 years this year.  When I called them earlier, they were getting ready to go out and celebrate, seeing as tomorrow they will be spending the evening in the barn milking (and I joked that it's with 85 other women, but not a one cooks or cleans. Mom got a laugh out of that...).

See everyone later.....

Joe, was the place you all stayed anywhere close to the Columbus Greyhound Station?

If so, we could have "waved & hollered" at each other as we went past!!

Had to make trip from Huntington, Wv. to here, and got Routed that way, then to

Cincy and on in to Louisville.  Not the best trip I've ever had!!

Thanks for the Post Card; wish you could look over there and still see that sight!!

OK, I'll put my reservation in for some Hawaiian.

Beautiful day today, if a tad brisk - just finished walking the Dal (we're doing several miles a day, weather permitting).  He's actually settled down a bit now that I've started this - much less demanding (but still clingy).  It's not hurting me any, either....

Got another phone (so I don't have to jump up from the recliner and dash to get to the phone) and I've got to run into town for some parts to hook it up.  May sound trivial, but when getting out of the chair includes moving the Dal (he fancies himself a lap dog), it makes a difference...

Good Afternoon!

We had some severe thunderstorms here earlier this afternoon. They didn't last very long, but there was marble size hail and brief but very heavy rain at my house. There was also an abundance of cloud-to-ground lightning, so it wasn't too bad of a storm, all in all. Mookie always says that the storms miss Lincoln and pound Omaha and she was right again since Lincoln didn't get anything.

I can't believe that Easter is only one week away. I have school Monday through Wednesday this upcoming week and then Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday off. I remember back in grade school when Easter vacation would be 10 days long, but I guess high schoolers don't get that special treatment.

Anyway, that's all the news I have today. Hopefully everyone will stay safe with the storms out there.

Good Saturday morning, all.  Coffee is ready, and fresh juice is made.  On the warmer bar, you will find:  your choice of turkey bacon, sausage, sausage gravy, homemade buttermilk biscuits, oatmeal, old fashioned grits, toast; or, you can partake of the variety of doughnuts, muffins and danish.

Did laundry for the diner last night, so all the aprons and tablecloths are washed and ironed, looking their very best.

Since tomorrow is Palm Sunday, does anyone have any special requests for Sunday Dinner tomorrow?  If so, please let me know, okay?

We're supposed to have rain off and on this morning, then more  possibly heavy rain coming in sometime this evening.

Everyone have a good day; and Brian, guess you should get your tin boots all spiffed up, and ready for Mookie's return Monday!!Evil [}:)]Wink [;)]
