Good Thursday morning all. Very cold this morning here in Shepherdsville, low 20s, and 3 different water main breaks in downtown Louisville, is what I was greeted with, when I turned on the TV.
Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go. Breakfast is also ready and on the warmer station: bacon, sausage, bagels, bear claws, scrambled eggs, homemade buttermilk biscuits and sausage gravy; also have oatmeal and toast for anyone who wants that this morning.
Even though I am NOT a U of L fan, wishing the university and students/fans Congratulations on winning the Sugar Bowl last night.
Everyone have a good morning, take care, keep safe and see you all later.
In 2013 I'm thinking about old Corneil and Uncle Dan'l looking down on us. He's a little hazy but in the background I think I see Jay Gould.
Good Morning
It was a very busy day for me...had to run to the office first thing this morning and get some paperwork together so that I could start on our final year report...talk about a mess of paperwork...3 boxes full....
Weather here be cccold and dreary...with little tiny snowflurries around and abouts...
Have a good evening!!
Spent a portion of New Year's Day scanning photos from my junior high yearbooks and posting them on the Facebook page for my old hometown in Michigan. They've generated quite a lot of chatter.
I, too, am waiting for the appropriate tax documents to show up so I can do my annual duty. Gotta do the inventory for my small business, too (15 minutes, tops).
I think we have some snow flurries in the forecast, but nothing major. Looks like there's some lake effect going on well to the south of us. Right now it's nice and sunny, if cold. And there's an east wind, which rarely bodes well, weatherwise.
Stuff to do!

.....Finally, thru the holidays. Now things can migrate back to our normal routine. We have a bright sunshiny morning here in central Indiana, but.....It's cold..! First read, I saw 10 degres but calm wind. As Joe mentioned, our weather pattern is to be stead, calm now for several days...Big High Pressure systems now in control....Slight "warming" trend as we go forward this week.
Now we'll look forward to all necessary papers arriving to accumulate necessary info for income tax prep. Dig out of files that which is annual....and start fresh.
Again, wishing a Good New Year to all on here. At least we didn't "totally" fall off the cliff, and we're here to continue.

Good Wednesday morning all. Sounds like everyone survived New Year's Eve fairly well. Girls came back from their Mama's yesterday, nephew went home with his Mama, and things are back to normal.
Joe, thanks for taking care of breakfast this morning. Coffee really hits the spot this morning: our current temp is probably 31, 32 degrees here in "Sheeptown" this morning, but the wind chills are in the teens to low/mid 20s, depending on area you're in. Some areas are seeing wind chills in the single digits, though. Glad we're not in that area.
Everyone take care, have a good day, and see you all later.
well not the best of days for the ole conference yesterday.Back to school for Matt.back to work for us tonight.Mother nature has us chilly but no new snow to come.Going to see what we can see trackside then come home for a nap.Breakfast is ready.Juice and coffee are ready.
Good Evening
We just finished up dinner here...pork tenderloin done to perfection with 'taters and grilled veggies..yes, we even grilled the veggies and tenderloin out on the BBQ...I did not say we were normal here...
Actually got some traintime this afternoon as well...so it was a well rounded day here...

I usually am in bed and fast asleep well before midnight, but I was still awake last night when some people around here began making noise. At first, I wondered what was going on, and then remembered what it was. At least, no one around here used a shotgun to celebrate.
Many years ago, Ricki and I would try to watch the celebration in each time zone, but that grew old--especially when a rerun of the New York City event was used for the Central Time event. When I was in the fourth grade, I listened to the Eastern Time event, then counted 3600 and tried to find a Chicago station on the radio by my bed, but failed to find one; perhaps I should have tried to find a New Orleans station (when I was in high school, I would go to sleep listening to WWL, and wake up to a station in Kannapolis, N.C., which broadcast on the same frequency in the daytime (Kannapolis was less than a hundred miles from where I grew up n S. C.)
Happy New Year everybody!

Well, we are up...that is about it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! Hope you all had a good night. Went to bed just after 10 p.m.; brother, sis-in-law and nephew all went to bed just about the same time. No late nighters in this house last night.
Coffee, juices, hot chocolate, and hot tea are all ready to go.Breakfast of bacon, eggs, biscuits & gravy are ready and on the warmer station.
Ed, glad you had a great birthday. That cheesecake sounds good.
Everyone have a good day, take care and see you all later.
Happy New Year Everyone!
It is 25° F with a slight breeze here tonight. We have more snow on the ground, for a longer period, than we have had in years, it seems like. But the forecast for the next week is sunny with highs in the 30-32° range.
Everyone have a great year.
Bruce
I just heard a guy walking past my building YA-hooing! I guess he is enjoying his New Years Eve celebrations!

Eleven minutes to midnight. Looks like my FD did 118 calls last year. Now I've got to pull some stats off that to report to the Fire District.
Good Evening...

So far it looks like the cancer thing was a bad memory...thank goodness...
