Ms Mook - They say that something is the first to go, but I can never remember what it is...
Easter started out cloudy, then the clouds started to leak. If this keeps up, what little snow we had here will be gone. As long as we don't get any more (which is not guaranteed, by any means).

Hey Joe! You mentioned sending a DEEX to us a week or so ago - it finally arrived this afternoon!
Happy Easter from BNSF! They were busy mid-afternoon! Mostly coal, but some freight and one grain. Had a picnic trackside. High 50's and very nice! Winter tomorrow.

Wishing a good day for all....

Off to Easter services with daughter and family. If it weren't for the religious theme of the music and the pastor's sermon, one might think they stumbled into a musical revue.
Dinner after.
He is not here.....
Happy Easter.Getting on our Sunday best.Matt will be singing,Cousin Averie is getting baptized then off to G+G house.
For the first few years my aunt had a cottage on Lake Ontario, "moss" was a significant problem, coming ashore in great rafts, and once on shore it stunk.
It's probably the attention to excess fertilizer and the runoff therefrom that has significantly reduced the problem.
On other topics, we ran four sold out "Easter Bunny" trains today under sunny skies. A different' problem arose for the organizers, though - the usual egg-hunting area was still covered with half a foot of snow. Easter is early this year. I managed to get in over 50 miles on the throttle, which helps me reach the point where I can qualify on that particular track.
Easter at daughter's tomorrow. Time for bed. I'm pooped.
breakfast is ready.Matt and I will be off to help at Grandpas house. John glad you are careful. If you look at Grand Lake(Lake St. Mary's) and lake Erie, they are dealing with that exact problem. It creates a blue algae which is toxic to fish and people. The people of the resort islands in put in bay had to have their water come by barge last year..Time to go wake up Matt.
blownout cylinderWe had a good day today...nothing but sunshine so it made it easier to get outside to clean up all the detritus from last fall/winter....billions and billions of thatch I tell ya!!!
Here in North Jersey I was able to do that in late February and earlier this month. I even put down lime and fertilizer. The state does not like us to use phosphates. They say it gets into run off and pollutes our waterways. But phosphorus binds with the soil and doesn't run off as long as you put it down after the ground thaws out and are careful to avoid paved surfaces.
evening
csx was running hard today.saw #1 the "spirit of West Virginia" lead q 380 eastbound. Mom reported the eggs are ready at G+G. Tomorrow helping my sisters.
Good Evening...

Realistically, our snow is history. Just a spot here and there where the sun never shines in the Winter / early Spring....
John Deere is back home and all serviced and ready for lawn mowing duty.....but first I must get it rolled...Drought and freezing / thawing have taken their toll on my lawn....
We have SUN!!! Yes, that bright yellow orb is in our skies and...our skies are blue!! No clouds at all!!!...YAY!!!!!
Going to see about getting some new building kits from the storage room and see to getting something built this weekend....
Good Friday Morning
Chores and errands to do today.Another sunny snowmelt day as well.Matt is going to G+G to color eggs.Might see what csx is up to later.
Most of the snow here is gone, although the pile where it slid off the garage roof could still supply enough ammo for a pretty good snowball fight.
Getting things ready for our Easter Bunny trains Saturday. Apparently they are all sold out.
.....Sunshine working to finally remove the last of the recent snow mess....After today, and maybe tomorow, it will be mostly history.
Finally, maybe we can head into Spring....John Deere ready to go...Returned from service yesterday and ready to mow....last year, I had already mowed 10 days ago....! Snow on yard now. But the sun has power now and it's on the way out....
morning

Still waiting in the hotel, parts did not come in yet, so still waiting. Hope Kenworth pays well for this.....
Found out the Shell Super Rigs truck show is the same weekend and at the same place as the Dairyland Grand Nationals in Tomah in June. Might have to take a working vacation that weekend.....
Also found out that my mother's side decided to let me have my grandfather's model trains and layout, he built one based on MR's Jerome and Southwestern series several years ago, but has no room now in the assisted living apartment. When I go home in a week and a half, will be doing the moving.......

breakfast is ready.going to the Y today. Will see what csx is running as well.Snow is going away.Tomorrow is a big day.
Mostly sunny all day, but cool (30-ish) while I sat at the squad waiting for a call that never came. Thankfully.
Fed the birds when I got home. Don't mind feeding the dicky birds (sparrows, finches, etc) and even the jays, but I can do without the grackles, cowbirds, and redwinged blackbirds. They tend to keep the little ones away.
afternoon
had some snow squalls this afternoon.working on plans for the rest of the week.chores and supper to do as well.
joe
Good Tuesday morning all. We're getting quite a few snow flurries right now, here in Shepherdsville. Also seeing some rather large flakes: the angels must be having a pillow fight up there. We may see a high of 40 degrees F. later this afternoon. I can't wait until the weekend, with the prospect of warmer temps; even though Spring Allergy Season is starting up. I'll take he sneezing & itchy eyes over this endless cold weather, at least for a little while, before I start complaining about sneezing my head off.
Randy sorry about your truck troubles, but glad to see you in here.
Everyone have a good day, take care, keep safe, and see you all later.
