58 degrees when I headed to bed last night...and now we're in the 40's.  Copious amounts of rain overnight....I see a large area of water on the Fairway behind me this morning, and to achieve that, it takes a large amount of rain.

Have taken my rain gauge in for the Winter, so as of yet, I don't know just how much rain we did get....We're on the edge of a large front moving up across the mid section of the country separating cold and much warmer.

With a little luck, we'll not see much to be concerned about here, but if it moves just slightly east, we will see some....snow...freezing rain, but not expected to be any large effects as I understand it now....Some sunshine coming this new week.

Must get ready for church....Best to all for a good week.

weather will change today.temps to drop and roads are going to get slick. As far as fertilizer grand lake(Lake st mary's) has a problem with algae due to run off from area farmland.it is so bad they are going to limit what types of fertilizer farmers can use. They have also found algae blooms In Lake Erie near Put in Bay.It was so bad last summer they had to bring their water in by barge.Breakfast is all set.Off to church and Sunday school.Back to work tonight.

Really?

I had to look it up myself...

According to New Jersey's fertilizer law, as of November 15 residents cannot apply fertilizers containing nitrogen or phosphorus to their lawns until next spring (March 1). Commercial fertilizer applicators must complete their customer service cycle of late fall nitrogen or phosphorus fertilization by December 1 and cannot apply them again until March 1.
All other materials, such as products containing potassium, lime and composts, are still legal to apply during the blackout dates of November/December through March.

Today I brought a bag of fertilizer for my lawn.  It has been in the high 40's.  I was thinking of putting it down.  The only thing holding me back is that in New Jersey it is illegal to fertilize your lawn before March 1.

ain here in nw ohio.then the wind will blow this afternoon. maybe a high of 60 tomorrow?

I live on the east coast in New Jersey.  Sunday's high is predicted to be 62.  Yet this is the dead of winter.  Other years the temperature has been in the teens with lows in the single digits this time of year.

Putting in a shelf for the computer monitor at the fire station, and waiting for the poly to dry.

Also had to print off our equipment inventory, after doing some updating.  Every time I look at the darned I find something else that needs to be tweaked.  The guy who put the information in the computer did a great job, but sometimes his naming was a little inconsistent.  Not that there's any in the inventory, but an example would be listing the common table fork as "table fork" one time, then "dinner fork" another.  Same item, but it really screws up reconciling everything.

Busy, busy, busy.

Thought I'd cured my birds-inside-the-feeder problem, but one managed to find its way in today again.

Even though today is Wednesday, I don't have my little charge today.  She spent last night w/her uncle & his sig.other; they brought her back home, but she decided she wanted to spend the day with them, rather than here at home with Grandma, Pawpaw and my.  So another quiet day around here.

For the rest of the day, here is what I've come up with:

1.  Roast, taters, carrots w/slaw and dinner rolls or homemade buttermilk biscuits

2.  Country-fried steak w/mashed taters, biscuits and milk gravy

3.  Grilled 2 in. thick pork chops w/baked taters, salad and broccoli casserole

Hope you all enjoy, have a good afternoon & evening.  Take care and see you all later.

Good Wednesday morning everyone.  We currently have a temp in the mid 40s to start our day, but the downside is, we have light rain this morning; should be out of here around 9 or so this morning.

Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go:  I'm already drinking a freshly brewed cup.  Breakfast is also ready (woke up around 4:30, so got up & turned off the alarm).

Hope you all enjoy your day, stay dry if you're to have rain, take care,  keep safe and see you all later.

For the nth time, a local teacher or school official has been gigged for having an affair with a student. I can hardly turn the news on without hearing of one, twice this weekend. What are these people thinking?

They're just thinking with the wrong head.

Good afternoon all.  And a Happy Birthday to the late Elvis Presley.  Woke up to hearing Elvis songs this morning on the local news.  And isn't today Bergie's birthday as well?  Miss seeing his writings on here (the entire forum).

Girls went back to school yesterday (Thank goodness!)  We love 'em, but they were really taxing the nerves of we three adults.

Adrian, loved the video of your basement train room.  Keep up the good work on it.

Everyone have a good afternoon/evening, take care and will pop in when I can.
