Good Morning
We had an all day sun yesterday...wonderful but cold, as per usual this time of year. Today will feature more cloud than sun and our usual ....snowflurries...sigh
Yesterday was an...ermm...how do you call it...oh...an 'interesting day...another brokenpipeville kinda day...this time at work...in our basement...where we park our cars...thankfully it only got to 6" deep there...but it was interesting getting the cars out of there...and to find parking for them...
Today? More report writing and confusion as well...oh well...

Moo....
You may be on to something there! Because to pick it back up, you have to lower yourself...
A balmy, and sunny, +10F here this morning, and the snow belt is getting belted yet again. Several schools closed on the first day of spring because of ... snow ...

Good Thursday morning all. Very cold here in 'Sheeptown' this morning: We at about 20, 21F, but the sun is shining. Our high today is to be around 34, 35 degrees. Wondering what we'll wake up to tomorrow!
Girls are at school, sil at work, and brother has gone out with a neighbor (male). Guess they went for breakfast. They try to get together about once a month and go somewhere for breakfast.
Got some chili on for lunch/dinner/supper. Seems like a good thing to have today. Don't worry, its mild chili. Anyone who wants spicy hot chili, can add tobassco, hot sauce or salsa to your chili. Will also fix some PB&J and grilled cheese sandwiches to have with the chili. Also got a pot of beef stew going, and while fixing the grilled cheese and pb&j's, will bake some cornbread to go with the stew.
Everybody take care, have a good day, keep safe and see you all later.
Multiple accidents have closed a stretch of the Interstate. A few minor injuries with numerous ambulances and fire departments responding. At least two semi's involved as well. It's all in a stretch of road less than 10 miles long, but it's apparently intense, though typical for that area.
Accidents seem to happen at such strange locations....Another such just happened back in my home area in Pa. It is a State highway...{2-lane}, but flat and straight in this certain area....
There is a business place on one side of this road...{route 281}, of gas station / grocery store...and visibility seems plenty clear to me...It's certainly not in town....
But accidents seem to happen far more right in this area...and quite often. Doesn't seem to have much logic to it all....
Skiff of snow covered everything here this morning....I first thought it was a coating of heavy frost...In fact, it certainly looked like it...but I believe it was snow overnight, however the sky was clear this morning. I saw no forecast for anything like this at 11 last night.
Morning temp here was 18 degrees. Yesterday's hi was 28...21 degrees below normal...! One year ago it was 86....!! The Jet Stream has sagged down over us and until that changes, we're going to get the cold falling down from the north.
I hope that might be sooner rather than later.
Bright sunshine now. And the skiff will be melting, but it's still below freezing...Sun does have direct power now though.....
I would like Spring to push this stuff away, and let the pretty blossoms and things that get green....allowed to do so...Must make a trip out east in a few weeks, and would like to see Spring in it's full bloom.....
I will say this about this Winter though.....I purchased a substantial, with faux fur on the hood etc....appropriate coat before winter season, last year....Never wore it....Same with this year....haven't used it yet...Which is just fine with me....Come on Spring, break through...

When I went out to get my paper a little after six this morning, it had just begun to snow. AN hour or so later, the ground was covered. However, I do not think that Katie and I will have to get our snowthrowers out to clear the sidewalk. (We have discussed racing when we have to clear the driveway; I can start mine faster because it has an electric starter, but she may beat me in the long run.)
It's several days since the morning temperture has been below freezing, but we may have a few days that are that cold (our house is just a little over a mile high).
I have made more progress in getting settled, but there are still some things I want to bring from my old house, there are many books yet to unpack, and there is furniture I do not have room for that needs to be disposed of. I did bring the desk that I had built for Ricki (3 1/2 feet by 7 1/2 feet; much larger than the one I built for myself, which was not much bigger than enough to hold my keyboard and monitor).
Katie has just finished some bookshelf rearranging (there were no books on them); when they were broght in by the movers we were not certain as to just where we wanted them--and I can safely fill them with books.
Come on, Spring!

We also are celebrating spring with some snow. Just enough to irritate me, which these days seems to happen regularly. I just know we will have 10 degree spring until middle of May - as per usual. Then we will go straight into summer - as per usual.
Off to find something to take for crabbiness. And a cold sore on mah lip and a cut on my busy finger and a sore knee and....oh nuts!

Mooks - The six inches of wet snow due here Saturday oughta arrive in your part of Nebrasky about Sunday nite. Running out tonight to drop fertilizer and grass seed on my freshly raked yard. Glad to be finally be seeing some moisture and glad that I scared the fish w/ my chest waders earlier this week in (not-so) Clear Creek when it was near 60.
Sir C: Oh joy and rapture! Now I need to build a snow fence south of the house so it goes into Kansas instead of here. It never has much moisture and is just a big headache.
You really should take a fishing pole - as long as you are in there
Good Evening...
Well, another action packed day is at an end...finally managed to get most of the reports done and properly collated..so I be ready to go home now....
Catch ya'll later!!
Oh..btw...anyone travelling along the 401 between London ON and Woodstock ON should now by now that snowstreamers like to cross over that way...hence the likelihood of pile ups increases...and still...
See, I knew there was something wrong about living that far north...there is white fuzzy mold growing on everything there!
By the way, it is 8 pm, and 86 degrees here.

WhileI was attending a conference at a golf resort in Florida (rates are pretty reasonable during the off-season, especially for groups), there were several receptions for the attendees. Some of whom found great delight in feeding one of the hors d'oeuvres to the caimans (a relative of the alligator) in the "moat" next to the reception area.
Fried alligator.

Really? I notice a chickeny flavor to the chicken I eat here; are your worried about our friend, MC?
We had a little more snow during the day today, and expect some more tomorrow, but nothing like the 1-2" we had yesterday morning. We expect the morning lows to be below freezing for a few more days.
I, for one, do not like bbq alligator nor any other such fellow...I prefer me some B'ar meat when it comes to that..
Gonna be a somewhat sunny/cloudy sorta kinda day here high near 32 expected...
Had a good day yesterday..managed to find a few boxcars of the correct vintage to make up a string of graincars 35 cars long...tying that lot to 3 RS2's oughta look good on my layout...
Today? A quiet day is planned....no runnin' 'roun' doin' stuff...hopefully, that is....
